Noooooo, not the tomatoes! xD
Hey, you also made an arena game. And you had time for the audience. :)
Great game. Love the flying tomatoes.
Crowd reaction are really great!
The boost are too random for me.
In my first game I've got lucky ang got 2 speed shot bonus.
It was pretty easy (but I died stupidly)
In my second one, I've got only a life bonus in 3 rounds.
It was nearly impossible to survive.
Web links to a .jar file and not an in-browser page.
@cutandreil
Yeah, you are right. At the moment the boosts are created completly random. I should consider more stuff in choosing a bosst to drop. Thx for your comment!
@GeeItSomeLaldy
Thanks for the hint, fixed that and changed to Windows.
@Thanks for loving my tomatoes! :D
Very excellent game
Pretty fun little game! I loved when the crowd started throwing tomatoes at me. My total score was 680 before I eventually got caught and died. Super fun sir! Keep it up!
Game was fun, and impressive for a "from scratch" game! Needs a bit more feedback, though (like sounds/flashing when taking damage). Good job overall!
Thanks for your feedback so far. Feel free to have a look into the source code. Though i have to admit the programming style went down a little bit over the course of the weekend (i.e. getting stuff in as public static in the end instead of properly handling it with class-references if there was none...)
Oh well, i´m quite satisfied though and don`t think it`s too bad.
Absolutely loved it!
I think you should work on a post-compo version of it.
Definitely is a one-screen game, that's cool. Didn't get any upgrades when I played :(
Absolutely loved it!
I think you should work on a post-compo version of it.
Hmm, that's too bad on the first play-through I was searching for a key to shoot things or some item to fight.
It seems like you can only make enemies fall in water. You should make the rule more obvious. But still, the concept is nice.
Plays smoothly. In general, this is rather good. Hit detection was great, control was decent.
Two things, it would have been very nice to have invincibility at the start of a new round, I always get hit by guys instantly spawning!
And why is space to change language? Oh well. It was fun!
Cool arena game with well fitting graphics. You could have improved your collision detection though.
Very enjoyable game, it fit the theme very well. Well done :)
Finally another arena themed game! And it also has fireballs like mine : D. Fun action game, you should be able to kill those idiots in the crowd also grrr
interesting idea. needs more polish.
Haha, that was funny and enjoyable! Also you got my fullest respect to build this from scratch. Kudos. And thank you for the tomatoes :D
Thank you all for your replies, i appreciate it very much!
Building a game completely from scratch was a thing i did to myself since i wasn`t experienced enough with things like Unity by the time. Next time i will definitively use some sort of framework/engine in order to focus way more on the actual game and mechanics instead of core engine features. Thank you all for your responses!
nice game. pretty easy the only way too lose is during the repop of mob
What a fun game! I didn't really get the mechanics of the crowd, but it was fun to see flying tomatoes. Pretty rich game actually if you consider the time.
Well done!
Only 240 points, Cool game :D
(Confirmed that .jar "linux version" runs on Mac OSX)
@BtheDestroyer:
Thx for the info! :)
I will change the download link.
That's the kind of game i can play for long for a long time :)
goor realisation for gameJam !
Cool basic twin shooter. Not much else to add, some polish would be good. :)
I won`t continue this one, but i learned some nice stuff while creating it. I´m currently working on another project.
Thank you all for your replies! We see us at Ludum Dare #32!!!
