Very nice planets :)
Pretty cool .. something about the scrolling or something seemed a bit weird, but other than that it played pretty good.
Pretty good, but the movement was a bit crazy :) Nice animations though!
Liked the round world, looked very nice. Pretty easy to pick up.
I had fun playing this one the controls were pretty good here :)
Pretty cool cloud visuals.
I would have given up pretty quick, but I read some of these comments and got the multipush tip.
Pretty nice :) I didn't get too far because I'm not good at wall jump games.
Hmmm .. I got to the rotating world and saw the different scenes, but I couldn't figure out what to do. Seems like it could be pretty neat though!
Pretty cool simple game. Pretty cool take on things.
Very nice action pacing here :) Good game.
Really liked this, but the cat saw me just a bit too quickly. The whole "cat is looking at you" mechanic really built some great tension into the game, super good emotional impact there. But yeah, a touch too hard. More sound effects would add even more atmosphere to it. Good job!
Really liked this one. I wish there was even more to it :) The whistling matched the art nicely.
Heh, lots of text on first page, kinda intimidated me! I wasn't sure what was going on, but i liked the music :) Maybe have the game start out with a smaller board and some "hand holding" tips to get the player going.
I wasn't always sure what I was supposed to pick up vs avoid. The game could maybe have gotten a bit more challenging :) I liked the the little bit of a story the game started out with. Anyway, had fun!
I really liked this one .. The enemy AI made it really interesting. I think with a bit more tweaking this could play really well, like some of the other folks said, the controls don't feel quite right yet. You might use drag-n-drop for one of the gestures? I do think flashpunk has scaling, but I'm not sure how. I also think having EVEN more pixels in the game would be better. Like wars with dozens or so instead of just 4-5. Cool stuff :)
Aslo reminded me of Osmosis :) But a totally different take on that idea. I got to level 2! Pretty fun. I felt like eating stuff was a little bit too hard - maybe the hit-zone for that should be a touch bigger.
Pretty good atmosphere! I had a hard time getting far though!
I won't be able to shower for weeks!!!
Very nice visuals. The controls need a bit of work though. I wonder if the game visuals would be even more exciting if when your guy shrinks, the world zooms in? So he'd be the same size only more pixely! I think that would help with the imagination that you're smaller (because everything else would appear bigger.)
I'm running Chrome on OSX, the game didn't show planets the first few times I played, but then they appeared on the 3rd game. Pretty nice visuals :) Some SFX would have been a really nice touch though!
That was great :) Visuals were excellent!
Hooray for +1 kitten games. It was interesting trying to find it based on the loudness of the meows. Could use some kind of win screen though when you find it :)
Took me a while to figure the controls, but once I got it, it seemed to go pretty well :) I did find that some rocks seemed unreachable, so maybe make it so you can reach all rocks thrown at you. I think I won at carrot growing!
Thanks for making your game run on OS X :) It was an interesting play, after about 16 days, I gave up a bit, as I wasn't quite sure what I was trying to achieve. But I've never played a dating sim type game before, so it was a whole new experience for me. The shooter mini-game was a pretty funny diversion!
Wow, that game had some great mood :) Thanks for mentioning it, it was interesting to see a different take on the same sort of "nobody wants kitty" concept :)
Easy to identify with :) I'd prefer if it was one shot per bad-guy though, I couldn't get far with 3 shots. I'm using Chrome, but the mouse seemed to select a bunch of extra stuff, so maybe the space isn't set up quite right for mouse interaction.
I can't accept a EULA and install dotnet :(
MSVCR100 not found :( I can't run the installer.
I don't have ruby. Sorry :(
Hey, really cool! Thanks for supplying a OS X version, I played that one, worked great. When I died it kinda felt inevitable, because there wasn't really a way out, it seemed. But, other than that, top graphics, sound, overall package :)

Sorry, I can't install those frameworks :(
Couldn't download :( Hope you get your server going soon!
Neat, an iOS game. I was able to run it on my iPod, but, yeah, it's a bit unfinished. I think the game would feel a lot more natural with an analog stick instead of a quirky d-pad.
Pretty fun, I never did find the red gem, but I had a good time blazing around for a while :) On the Mac CTRL + Arrows changes which "space" (virtual desktop) you are on, so maybe changing that to a Z or something would be nicer on OS X people.
An OS X binary would be awesome :)
Testing.
I thought the music did a kinda cool job of helping set the mood here.
Didn't work on my OS X.
Didn't run. OS X.
I wish the server was running, ah well. Nice fractal things anyway!
Test Comment.
Hi - thanks for joining in the contest! The rules do specify that all art must be created within the 48 hours. Since this game doesn't comply with the competition rules, I've moved it over to the jam :)
The gravity effect was pretty cool .. the sound was a bit grating. Could have used better instructions as to what the objective is.
I didn't quite understand immediately what was going on .. and then when I quit it popped up a "report this to M$" error. Oh well.
Minimalist, no doubt about it!
App failed :(
Way cool tech :) Good stuff.
The application failed to initialize properly ... XP Pro here.
That was awesomer than awesome - it was, in fact, BZAWESOME! You achieved the "kept Phil's attention for more than 5 minutes" merit!! I'd play more of this if you made more. Things to do in your "more edition":
- Have more big bosses
- more interaction with the other robots
Good food journal, but I'm saving my 5 for the guy who had that disgusting pickle sandwich.
The low res was nice, but it would have been nicer if you had the window at 800x600 and used pygame.transform.scale to size it up to that level. My LCD monitor blurs it pretty badly in fullscreen. Pretty looking game.
Very different interface for sure. The game needed a sense of urgency though.
I had a bit of fun with this one. It was certainly minimalist on innovation .. a bit more there would be nice. The graphics were minimalist, but I think the game would have kept my attention longer if they were minimalist in a more interesting kind of way.
All in all though, the engine seemed pretty decent and solid, so not bad :)
No installers for me.
The best bit was getting to pick what kind of car I wanted to be :) Good theme compliance.
Sort of fun, but a bit too minimal for me. Changing directions would have done a lot for me. I liked the low-res art.
Really cool use of the minimalist art work :) Would be nice if it was possible to try a level again. Maybe it was, but it wasn't obvious how.
Bonus point in the food category for eating corndogs!
Great graphics. I got a bit stuck on one puzzle, but your tip helped me out. The only improvement I can see is adding some subtle music.
I liked the use of "minimalist" frames, but the sound really made it hard to play! I suppose I could have muted it. I wasn't sure why I lost when I got to the end of the round either, oh well. I'm dense like that.
Interesting game, but I didn't ever understand what was going on, though I had fun clicking on the buttons. It looks good.
No java here, sorry :(
I like conways life stuff. I think this would have thrilled me more if the visual wasn't quite so hard to follow. It made it hard to strategize. But the basic twist of taking the game of life and turning it into a "game of death" was pretty cool :)
Pretty neat game, but it made me kind of dizzy after a minute or so, so I gave up. Very good polish!
Decent music and whatnot.
I got some decent giggles out of this one. The US map gave a good sense of progress. The graphics were minimalist for sure. I think the controls could have used some TLC somehow .. I had a hard time aiming my tank to kill anything.
I thought the music was sort of interesting. The moving bars were cool, but sometimes frustrating.
Marvelous theme compliance. Might have been nicer if instead of being kicked back to the start, it just made you re-try that level or maybe just one back. Truely an art entry :)
Nice use of the theme. A bit of quiet sound would have been nice. I think having the screen a bit bigger would have maybe been nice to, I always felt like I couldn't see far enough .. but that's sort of the point, so never mind me :)
Totally minimal. I'm still pushing for a color ANSI art in one of these.
Pretty fun one. Some music + sound would have kept my interest longer I think. Pretty good innovation I think.
Your classic DrPetter entry as of "20 hours" into the compo. Next time get after it, Dr! Your complete entries are always great stuff :)
Really cool look :) I'd like to see this game with a bit more gameplay :)
I had some decent giggles smashing rats in the sewers. I'm not big on text games without some imagery, but that's just me. Rather impressive entry tech-wise, I think :)
Good stuff, I really liked the addition of enemies. The one level where you had to re-stack 50 blocks was tedious, but the rest were great fun! I got through the whole game :)
Bummer, it didn't work on my laptop :( The fan revved up and nothing really happened, but I was able to quit. I've got a Dell with some ATI 3D chip on it.
I really liked the VGA-looking 320x200 sort of res feel to it. The particle effects were great fun. I never had any clue what I was doing, but it was fun anyways :)
My computer isn't man enough for this kind of game ...
Kind of complicated, but the AI was loads of fun to watch play the game :)
Very pretty :)
Need windows version.
Great game - quite fun to play. Good use of theme, and good game play. My suggestions:
- make it so when you destroy everything, you can click to the next level and not wait .. there were a couple other instances where you had to wait for no good reason.
- fancy up the graphics a wee bit
- ambient music would be nice
Make sure your source zip file extracts into a sub folder :)
Soothing music.
Cool game :) My main complaint is that the instructions didn't tell you that pressing a number jumped you to a level .. but I figured that out eventually!
It'd be nice if the game zoomed out during explosions so you could watch em while you ran away :)
Really cool fireworks effects. Level 3 = lots of fun :)
I want more levels and additive blending effects :)
Oh, and after I quit it gave me some kind of "report this error to M$" dialog.
Nice one .. good job with making nice looking graphics :)
I mainly would want it easier things like:
- rotate by click + drag
- have item you are selecting show predictive beams to where the shots will go
This is a serious contendor for the Hairy Chestival Memorial Trophy! Really - crazy silly game :) To improve:
- better music
- have your time in huge numbers on the screen
- make the game get harder over time
Fun :) I really liked that you kept the difficulty level within the reach of mortals. So many games (including mine) tend to get rather over-hard after the first couple levels.
Impressive menu and highscore system :)
- I was able to pick up coins after being exploded :)
Didn't run :(
Not a bad game .. got a bit dull after a while, because it seemed too easy for too long.
Fun little non-game :) Bonus for having a text-scroller. Effort points for not doing a side-scroller game :)
Interesting game .. a bit complicated for me, but I thought the different gems were pretty neat. Maybe more easy levels for non-puzzle-game people.
I wish there was a way to jump ahead a few levels, the later levels get a lot funner than the first few.
Great theme song
Very interesting concept, although I couldn't get past the first level. A few tutorial levels that tell you exactly what to do would be nice, because reading the help was confusing.
I enjoyed playing this game, although I got to a point where there was nothing to do but to die. The graphics were pretty fun.
Really nice looking game, the controls were hard to figure out, but someone helped me. Also -- if you let your tree hit the left or right side, you can cheat by letting the balance go off the scale. Game was pretty fun after I knew how to play though.
Pretty funny termite simulation
Very nice graphics. I had a hard time figuring out what was going on though... I'm a bit dense when it comes to games that have any depth to them at all.
Nice music. I don't have a graphics card, so to speak, so I couldn't really grade anything else. What did you create the music with?
Sound= Pretty neat game, very different, I really liked the graphics.
The sound effects made me laugh.
Sound= Cool, a web entry! Though, I wish it was DHTML instead of server side...
Interesting tetris variant.
Sound= Fun particle movements. A bit weak on the theme compliance.
Sound= Very nice looking entry
My favorite Excellent theme compliance.
Sound= Quite unique!
Sound= Nice farming concept.
Very theme oriented. I thought the imagery was very compelling
All the explosions, etc were pretty exciting. Fun intro tune.
Very different game. I liked the variety of things that happened -- locus, rain, etc.
One of my favorites! Very nice :) The graphics were fun.
Very unique game. One of my favorites.
Fun game :) Loads of crazy enemies.
Nice graphics. Didn't quite understand the game.
I liked the hand marching around kicking stuff :)
Nice title graphic. Fun soundtrack.
I didn't quite get it...
Fun game. The GBA factor added a lot of interest for me :)
I liked the little "level intro" tune.
I really had fun playing this game. Suprisingly challenging.
Interesting twist on the old favorite.
Didn't understand the game, thus unable to judge all categories.
One of my favorites. Good goals / missions. Fun and innovative.
My favorite parts were the blood splatters and sound effects.
Not bad graphics.
I really liked the sparklies that you shot out.
Neat GBA tune.
Very different approach.
Yikes! This game gets hard all of a sudden.
Very nice. One of my favorites. It took me a while to "get it" but once I did I liked it a lot.
Very nice title page. Game went a bit fast on my computer, though.
Weirdest interface ever award. Very unique and funny concept.
The separately scrolling background was a very nice touch.
The animations of the guys walking around were very nice. A few odd bugs -- one time when I played, nobody could move. Also, whenever I quit the game I got some buffer overrun detected error.
One of my favorites. Sleek graphics, both unique and fun gameplay. I'd like to see this game completed (with high scores, jump to a level, etc.)
Sound effects were a nice touch.
Amazing graphics!
The on-line high scores was a nice touch :)
Pretty decent graphics.
I liked the adventure game style 3-D.
The three different modes of being was an interesting twist.
All the different bad-guys were pretty neat.
Crazy loads of enemies!
Slick tunnels.
There were a lot of games somewhat like this (zombies infecting people, etc.) This is the one that got it right :) Nice work. Very complete.
