That is Qix my friend! Nicely done. I'm counting the seconds until some adult site steals your code learns how to replace the BG pics.

good game, whats the objective though? ALso it took me a while to realise you're supposed to makeboxes out of it, so i kept getting hit by the ball and dying.
Definitely technically solid, but a bit uninspired by the theme - hope to see a more experimental entry of the same quality next time :)
Bonus points for seeing the outside world in your food photos!
Yeah, it's Qix. Fun game, although I think this version might be a little too easy because you can make boxes of any size unlike in Qix where you need to make whole lines. The music seems to not loop at all, it stops pretty quickly. Was that intentional? Graphics are pretty.
Yep, it's Qix. No innovation points for blatantly cloning! And Pekuja, you do make arbitrary boxes in Qix - it's Jezzball where you make lines. I love Qix! I was frustrated with how slow you moved in this one... it's not that it was too slow relative to the ball, I wish both were about 3x as fast (well, maybe 2x for the ball, I did die a LOT). That could be technical, I don't know how fast it was supposed to run. I missed the old speed button in Qix.
Good and complete, but not very interesting. The way I entertained myself with it was to try to box in the bouncing balls so I could capture the rest of the area in peace.
I also used a strategy similar to dgriff to draw boxes in peace.. ;) Well, I liked Qix in the 80s and that concept still holds. Liked your photos. Wish the music looped better.
Too slow for my taste. Nice gfx though.
Hmmm. "A minimalist game shouldn’t really need instructions, but.." lol.
Yeah, faster would be way better. Yay for haxe.
Much too slow to be challenging; it's an endurance version of Qix. Technically, I can't find any problems with it, and the background image mechanic is creative.
A great idea and it's quite fun to play. A bit slow to my tastes, though. Good job on the music. Would've been a really enjoyable game if the tempo was a bit faster.
Far too slow on my otherwise capable system for a simple Flash game. Textures were very nice. Qix has been done many times before, but really needs a revival ... speed it up a little so I can play this one during my 'lunchbreak' at work :)
This being a Qix clone I know it's is supposed to be more fun than I experienced, but it's not. It's just too slow.
Nice symphony though.. putting that in the game might have given some humor points =]
Afraid it plays too slow to be enjoyable. Otherwise it looks good and seems nice. Never played original Qix, so wouldn't have known it was a direct clone until I read some comments. I'm doomed to give you low innovation points now, I'm afraid. Music was nice while it lasted. Could be a solid game with some improvements.
Hey, Qix! Loved that game. I swear that there was a bonus for splitting the two bad guys though.
I think everything has been said already. You move much too slow, gets tiresome very quickly. I used to play a clone of this on my Amiga 10-or-so years ago called Bally (3?). That one had adjustable game speed, and if it was cranked up somewhat it would be pretty frantic. I tried making one of my own at some point but failed with the fill algorithm since I couldn't figure out how to decide which side of the line to fill. I should try again.
Presentation in this one is pretty nice, but with the same speed problems as the gameplay - you get rather sedated by the drowsy music and slow transitions at restart.
