Neat idea, and a pretty fun game. Too bad it's silent, and it becomes really easy to clean up the oil once you get one or two bonus buoys. Still, I like what you did.

pekuja

I really liked this game. I wish it had some more variety in levels (yeah, minimalist, I know), and some music/sound. The environmental theme is nice. I didn't really find much use for the nitros, although I guess they provided something else to do other than decontaminating the oil. The speed boost wasn't all that useful though.
Good journaling effort.

NULL

Nice! It's a pretty fun game. I like the idea!

Hamumu

Wait, N is for nitro? How do I nitro? I thought those might be bits of net. Where are you people getting more information?

I didn't understand level mode at all, especially when I finally got all the Ns and it sent me to a blank blue screen with no boat.

But in the number modes, it worked great! I love those kind of pushy physics, and wrapping stuff up is always fun too. It was super easy (I guess it couldn't not be, what with no lose condition), but fun to control. I liked how to motor swung too.

dgriff

I liked it, more polished than most games and pretty fun. The oil blobs were fun to splash around in.

mikeware

Really fun game, great achievement for 48 hours. Too bad there wasn't any sound though, that would have just been the icing on the cake.

HybridMind

Pretty cool game. Really fits theme well I think. Like others have said, miss the sound but I just made burbling outboard motor noises in my head.. ;)

Nice touch with the motor counter rotating with the turns! Wish it had a timed mode to add to the challenge as it is a bit too easy otherwise. Great for what it is in 48hrs though!

Devon

ah so free mode has no oil. ill try it again if I can get out of free mode.

DrPetter

Impressive polish and smoothness. I'm curious as to how you did the whole loop-fill thing when wrapping up oil blobs. Can't see an obvious way of solving that, unless maybe the playing field is divided into a rectangular grid and you sort of floodfill the outline made by the divider... but then you still have to find out which side to fill. I did some stuff with concave polygon triangulation a while ago and it was pretty nasty stuff, but I guess that could also be a way to do it. Suppose the answer is in your code, might look some day.
The controls and everything else turned out real nice in the final version, but it's still pretty lacking in gameplay and challenge. Might have to throw in some "enemies" or other obstacles to create challenge.

I played it for a while and it was fun, a bit too easy, but the physics are nice. At first I though the level was unsolvable because one "N" was completely unreachable (in the middle of an island), but in the end I got it by surrounding it with nets. The blue screen after completing a level was kind of disappointing though.

keeyai

Nice! I really liked it. I avoided the nitro until the end though, since it was more of a hindrance than a boon. Annoying that you HAD to get them to finish the level, but no big deal. Overall it was really great. Also -- you are a brave man to let those little girls eat right next to your running laptop. I would have given you a trophy for that if the picture worked well at 64x64.

philhassey

Pretty fun one. Some music + sound would have kept my interest longer I think. Pretty good innovation I think.

mariusz

Even running the stand-alone Windows version, I can't start the levels. I just get free mode instead. Eventually I got it working on Linux in a browser, but it was slow. I like the idea and the game is pleasant enough, but it got boring after a while.

erik

Cool idea and mechanics. I didn't feel challenged though.

Dathgale

I like the concept, but the game is kind of tedious. Without a lose condition it's more of a "toy" than a game, much like SimCity. I like the artwork. It reminds me of Abstract Sea (http://crazymonkeygames.com/Abstract-Sea.html).

phren

Cool idea and gameplay. Was a bit boring after the dust settled. The graphical style was quite nice. I didn't seem to get into level mode, for some reason. The islands in the middle of oil spills kinda threw me off, too. Overall a pretty good package anyways. :)

robot_guy

Great fun but it's a needs to be a bit harder, a time limit might have been good.

gustav

Very cool game, fits the theme well and it has awesome graphics :)

I have not been able to run level mode though, and the difficulty in freemode doesn't increase or put pressure on you to hurry up. Other than that, it's a very good and polished game! Good work :)

EDIT: I played the browser version and levelmode works! I really like how the instructions float in the sea and the levels made it more intresting to progress :)

jolle

OK I'm done saving the world seas now. At one point I thought it was a trap, but turned out the trap was nothing but lies!

Nice look, nice idea, fairly fun, but lacking something in gameiness.

pansapiens

Wonderful game, good fun, quite innovative. Like others have mentioned, some audio would be nice. I love the little touches like the way the outboard engine moves independently to the boat.

SethR

Great level design, especially liked how the little outboard motor rotated correctly when turning, nice touch. :)

negativegeforce

real nice idea. i bet you could do well on advertising dollar for this game on flash sites.
