I love these typical platformers: grab the coin, go to the exit, jump :D
My only concern is that the movement is too sensitive.

shackelford 2012-04-23 04:29

Fun game, but I think the controls are a bit too sensitive. The droplet is very loveable :P

Nice graphics - very lively.

The jump feels really heavy, and the character moved so fast I didn't feel like I had much control. Maybe you could make a version with half the frame rate?

Also, it's a minor detail, but it'll be nice to be able to use the keyboard on the level select.

Thanks for the game!

mess110 2012-04-23 12:38

oh noes my tiny droplet burned.

nocturne 2012-04-23 12:38

This could have been a lovely platformer, as it looks good and seems to be well made... But the really poor controls have made me give up after only a few minutes. Tapping a key makes you move a tiny amount yet hold it for a millisecond to long and and you shoot off! If more care had been taken with the controls I'm sure I would have loved this...

endurion 2012-04-23 12:40

Nice little game, but the controls are very sensitive. It's nearly impossible to safely land between two spikes.
Gave up on stage 3 ;)

pbdiode 2012-04-23 12:43

Great job! fun to play, controls a little sensitive, background music would have been nice.

suese 2012-04-23 12:45

Good job.

I almost rage-quit before completing level 2, because level 2 was well-done. This game could be greatly improved by a few simple things 1. Slower FPS 2. Less sensitive controls, 3. Music!

p.s. I did find it a little concerning that the droplet of water was interested in coins... character animation and the bucket graphic were great touches.

berkano 2012-04-23 12:45

Ah I remember playing the early version during the dare... Final game came together really well! Graphics are nice and tight. The traps are a bit punishing though, agree with the commenter below about controls being too sensitive. I only got to level 3...

ergo 2012-04-23 13:01

The controls are a bit sensitive, but it actually made for a nice challenge! :D
The sound effects were okay, but the lack of any music made it a bit bleak.
Graphics we're also okay, but the fire animation is a bit too choppy (variably choppy, which looks really odd with lots of fire tiles around).

But overall it's a pretty fun game! :D

vitor-navarro 2012-04-23 14:56

Interesting but just a little to much sensitive on jumping. Where is the music?
Furthermore I like the game congrats...

lapogo 2012-04-24 00:06

Jumping is a bit awkward, and if the coins are gonna give you points just make it so you can get to the end without collecting them. maybe the game could be score/star based.

gornova 2012-04-24 13:06

nice game for 48 hours, if you have time could try to improve it (try also Advanced Platform Engine, search in flashpunk forum, for gravity stuff

drzool 2012-04-24 18:39

Ran too fast for my computer, rendering it pretty unplayable.

chinchang 2012-04-24 18:50

dat droplet sprite was really cute but a lil quick. Your feedback system and details in the level were good too. lil physics more and a bkg music wud make it fun to play.

quill18 2012-04-24 18:53

As others have said, the movement is a little intense for me, but I could definitely see myself playing a version 1.1 of this on Kongregate or something! Nicely done.

pq 2012-04-25 02:22

Controls are too sensitive, but otherwise I liked it.

eburn184 2012-04-25 02:53

Wow, that is some intense gravity. Fun little platformer. Nice job!

marudziik 2012-04-25 20:47

What others said. It's a very good first LD entry.

seagaia 2012-04-25 23:30

The jumping is awkward and things feel empty without sound. But it's a good start for your first LD!

robbiehunt 2012-04-27 04:00

Other people are saying this is your first LD so - yay! I'm also in the "first LD" club!

Loved this game, dude! The animation was great, loved the way health was handled and found the damage animation to be quite cool.

A soundtrack would be been awesome!

Good job! Keep doing what you're doing, it's working!

philhassey 2012-05-06 14:04

Pretty good, but the movement was a bit crazy :) Nice animations though!

sodaware 2012-05-11 14:20

As others have said, the movement is way too sensitive. Otherwise it's a fun little game, although I would have liked to have seen a few more gameplay elements. I liked the graphics though - very cute :)
