Jach

93247 first play. I'll probably try again later.

sol_hsa

Sure, it was done in a very short timespan, but still - it's a bit hard to figure out what the game is. =) Okay, I got half a million points without trying much, but it feels like something is missing.
And what's the blinking thing in the middle for?

jlnr

Oops, forgot my highscore :( It was a lot higher when I semi-understood the right mouse button though :)

But yes, it's really very vague :)

mikeware

Interesting, but pretty confusing. Wish you had a little extra time to throw on the polish.

Wiering

I had no idea what I was doing, but my high score was 373603!

pekuja

I didn't really understand it. I shoot at a circle, it grows, I get huge scores, level changes. Is that it? Why are there multiple circles if I can just pick any? What's the point of gravitating shots?

philhassey

I really liked the VGA-looking 320x200 sort of res feel to it. The particle effects were great fun. I never had any clue what I was doing, but it was fun anyways :)

pansapiens

Liked the minimal graphics, the 'physics' were interesting, but didn't seem all that important to actually play the game (moving seemed mostly optional). The simple goal didn't seem all that challenging. Eventually crashed on me.

keeyai

Fellas, gravitating shots is where its at! The purple (gravitated) shots make the targets grow, which net you more points.

SPOILER:
I like the gravitating concept, but it would be nice to have more of a point. It seems the best way to score points is to just sit on the side and gravitate shots right at the edge of the target so they all still hit it. Doing this I got my highscore of 1,572,918 without really trying. I'd like to see gravitating fleshed out more, and I'll probably rip it off in the next space shooter I do. :D

drZool

Minimal instructions won't get you anywhere I'm afraid, what are you supposed to do? Enlarge a circle? is that all?

SethR

I couldn't quite get my gravitated shots to behave, but I think I sort of got it.

jhauberg

Disables aero theme in windows vista, which is kinda annoying.

As others have noted, it's hard to figure out wtf you're supposed to do :)

Retro graphics fit minimalism nicely.

thedaian

Took a while to figure out what to do, far too easy, but damn nice for a 2 and a half hour game.

HybridMind

I think I had more fun messing around 'capturing' my grey shots with the purple gravity circle and then moving the circle around with them trapped inside and spazzing out. Would like to play a shmup that had this effect as it would seem it would probably be quite fun. As far as this game goes, I think it seems like others are saying more a tech demo and not much to the gameplay yet. Yes, 2.5hrs but would be fun if you had 2.5hrs more perhaps.. :) Got a million points using keeyai's spoiler.

phren

At first I thought the circles would chain like they do in everyday shooter, but then they didn't. Pretty minimalistic game in the sense that it doesn't really have a point to it other than scoring points. Doesn't really motivate to play more, though.

pymike

I agree with the other reviewers. The game is vague and uninteresting. My high was something like Jach's.

mariusz

It's entertaining for a couple of minutes, I suppose. Not bad for 2.5 hours, though.

saluk

Didn't get it? This needed a readme. Cool particle effects though.

Hamumu

I got 730,008, so I'm in second place! It does seem that the closest thing to a strategy is to hold the gravity on the edge of a circle as it expands. Those purple shots make them grow fast! Other than using gravitate that way, there really wasn't any way TO use it, since you have to put it at the same place you are aiming... can't really twist your shots, since the aiming cursor is the same as the gravitate cursor.

Anyway, it's rather satisfying and cool, despite being sort of nothing at all. If you see what I mean.

Dathgale

Very confusing the first time through, not challenging the second time through. It's not bad for 2.5 hours, though. You have a nice set of math libraries.

DrPetter

Whaat? How does this work? The levels seem to tick by automatically, regardless of what I do. Should I just be firing at the nearest circle? They grow, then sort of stop growing... Not sure why.
The particle spraying is sort of fun though. But of course I can't make sense of the bullet attraction. It just seems random and pointless, besides creating pretty colors and more particle chaos.
You've successfully confused me!

gustav

Kind of confusing and not much action happening but it was fun to play with the bullets and the gravity field, good work :)

jovoc

very cool given your time constraints. After a bit, I found it more fun to make patterns with the lasers rather than treat it like a game. Too many asteroid -style games this time around but this one at least had personality.
