Sweet flash game. Nice and hard, too.
interesting... like a slow-moving laser refraction game
Yeah, I liked it until level 3 basically. The jump in difficulty is pretty big there.
This is the game idea that I was aiming for originally, but then realized that I really wouldn't have time to make fun levels, as level design pretty much makes or breaks these games.
Had fun and beat all the levels. Click and drag may work better for aiming the targets. Clicking those little icons was tedious.
Huff... Sorry, but I hate this game! Seems I'm the only one unable to get past level 3 (first one with green blobs). Yesterday I was stuck with two left, now I have one. Dammit!
Purrty graphics though, and suitable (though loud) sounds. I think the rotation icons are backwards, but you know that already... I keep having to stop and think each time before rotating.
EDIT: Ok, conveniently BenW posted solutions for all the levels and I caught a glimpse of #3. Might try it again later, but I'm probably just not cut out for this :)
this looks beautiful, but some of the levels are so very difficult.. i wonder if the resolution of the turny-things was decreased, if that would make the puzzles more tractable..?
I could see myself playing this when bored. Good, nice looking, solid game.
Much too hard for me, but I like the concept (seen it in several other entries too!). I think it requires too much precision. So you tweak something by one pixel, then rerun the level and see it's off, and tweak it another. That's pretty tedious. I suppose it would be considered too wussy if it showed lines shooting off of the selected charge.
But I think it'd be a better game if the rotations were much more limited, like maybe 16 possible facings, or 32 at the outside. The puzzles would obviously need redesigning, but with that setup, you'd only be having trouble figuring out the puzzle, not lining up each shot. And the main thing for me, you'd be able to spot whether a pair of targets could be hit by this same target. A lot of shots in these puzzles didn't look possible to me (like "if I line up on that one, there's no way it could also hit the other one! Oh wait, it does"), so I didn't even consider that for the solution. Adding displayed lines would be one cure, limiting the rotation angles would be another.
Anyway, it's really hard, but nice looking, and good gameplay.
Well done! I played for a long time, but couldn't figure out the level shown in the screenshot with your final submission.
Slick and great looking. Yeah, bit hard for a lazy guy like me.
Argh, more fine-tuning.. I basically agree with what Hamumu said, and also what DrPetter said about the rotation buttons being backwards (also, click+drag to rotate would be better, I think). So yeah, I like the concept, but it's tedious.
solid game.
The game idea is neat, but the aiming is very tedious. I would say you need a way to press like 'r' and have it shine where the bombs would go. But then it might be too easy.
Very smooth and polished game!
What would have been nice was 'aim lines', the current pixel-precise clickery that had to be done was very troublesome to deal with, and delayed me from finding the right solutions.
Wow, that was hard, but I managed to finish it eventually.
Enjoyed it! Looks good, sounds good - only thing missing is music.
Agree with everyone that said the fine tuning was a bit of a pain, but it wasn't enough of a pain to make me stop playing.
Nice one .. good job with making nice looking graphics :)
I mainly would want it easier things like:
- rotate by click + drag
- have item you are selecting show predictive beams to where the shots will go
theres a big difficulty spike there, but its shiney so I can forgive :D
nice gfx, good puzzling, solid
