Great game, love the graphics, clever mechanic!

eforen 2014-12-08 07:05

I can not run this as Chrome claims it is Malicious I tried to download several times not even an option to open anyway...

fleegle2000 2014-12-08 07:35

I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulties - I am a Chrome user myself and I didn't get those warnings. You could try changing your security settings but other than that I'm not sure what to suggest.

Nice, very nice game! Idea and graphics are cool! Thanks!

maurogik 2014-12-08 08:12

Very nice game, nice graphics, it helped that there were a story and dialogues to walk me through.

rzuf 2014-12-08 08:29

Love the graphics, sound and story! Mechanics seemed a bit random, so game is winnable mainly by trial end error, but as an experience it's great.

vicious_br 2014-12-08 15:40

Yesss! I win!

bernhard 2014-12-08 15:43

I won! And then lost! Pretty shapes, and sometimes the shape gets weird but that's cool. Then I wondered if it's supposed to be a two player versus game. hmm

chronusz 2014-12-08 16:11

I really like the idea of this game. I wish the argument-dialogues were a bit further developed, but still a very interesting concept with some light real-world messages tied in :-)

fleegle2000 2014-12-08 16:33

rzuf: Yes, the mechanic is a little random and for the post-compo version I plan on tightening it up a bit more.

fleegle2000 2014-12-08 16:36

Bernhard: You could very easily play it with two players on the same keyboard :) That wasn't my intention but it's a really good idea. Multiplayer could be added in the post-compo version.

fleegle2000 2014-12-08 16:38

ChronusZ: Thanks for the feedback - I've been meaning to implement a dialogue system for one of my other games and decided that this would be a good opportunity to develop one. I will definitely be adding more dialogue possibilities in the post-compo version.

bnmkt 2014-12-08 17:08

I love the graphics and mecanism :3

neonian 2014-12-08 17:11

Very nice, very clever!

the-jahn 2014-12-08 18:02

dookie 2014-12-08 19:39

Very nice! I like the concept, and the simple controls. And adding the little story to it made it more engaging :)

ponk 2014-12-08 21:48

Cool !! I really like the procedural circles animation !

timthebo 2014-12-09 16:14

Really loved the artstyle and dialoge! Other than that it is a quite simple game

fleegle2000 2014-12-09 16:39

@TimtheBo: Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I plan on adding more levels and features in the post-compo version, while maintaining the current aesthetic.

plasterphantom 2014-12-09 19:55

Looks and plays really nice (: Too bad it was a tad short! D: But cool minimalstic graphics, sound was nice too!

okkolobr 2014-12-09 19:55

Not sure to have understood everything that happend, but I kind of enjoyed it anyway.

sakergames 2014-12-09 20:00

Strange game :) But I like it.

semdog 2014-12-09 21:11

LÖVE this game ;) awesome graphics and very innovative mechanic. Also the sun is super cool

mokosha 2014-12-09 21:23

Your linux .zip seems to contain .exes and .dlls =(

fleegle2000 2014-12-10 02:31

@Mokosha - I provided a single zip file with both the Windows and Linux files inside. There should be a Daybloom.love file in the zip - you need to have Love installed in order to run it.

justinmullin 2014-12-11 02:52

Very pretty, but I';m not sure how it works, even though I (think) I beat the game. Is the object just to keep the sun from going all spikey?

fleegle2000 2014-12-11 15:28

@Justin Mullin: The goal is to strike a balance between the sun growing too large and becoming too erratic - I'll try to make it a bit clearer in the post-compo version.

bkgh 2014-12-11 17:12

Error
resources.lua:70: Cannot create canvas

5k0d 2014-12-11 17:20

soundtrack is really awesome but i dont like the error trial gameplay

fleegle2000 2014-12-11 18:09

@Divitos: not sure why you're getting that error - I know that some systems don't support the canvas system Love uses. It sounds like the error is happening on load so I suspect that is the case for you. Unfortunately there's not much I can do about it - sorry.

fleegle2000 2014-12-11 18:10

@5k0d: Yes, I need to provide a bit more feedback/less randomness. I plan on tweaking that in the post-competition version.

taro 2014-12-11 20:06

That was interesting to say the least. Also felt really short. It was hard to tell if the being is agitated, but at least its size was obvious.

arcturusdeluxe 2014-12-11 22:46

I'm not really sure what I was supposed to be doing in this game, but its a cool audio/visual experience at least. Nice presentation and a good sense of atmosphere. Maybe a bit more explanation on things would be nice? Good stuff though.

pjimmy 2014-12-13 15:38

intriguing game, it's a nice visual experience, great surreal mood. It would be nice to have some clear instructions, and sometimes the dialog boxes got stuck on screen, a very beautiful game anyways.

vladik-plays 2014-12-16 19:41

Nice simple game there..
I don't get the point:can you win this game??? Or is it impossible??

andymar 2014-12-19 10:13

Funny and original. It's very well made for a compo game - well done!

garethiw 2014-12-24 13:08

Nice, The in game dialog works well.
