LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Snow Problem by TehSkull 2014-12-11T04:43:00

Literally all of my wat

The Stickman Cometh by woz 2014-12-11T04:33:00

I tried this on three different browsers, all 64 bit and I couldn't get it to work :(

Freedom Isn't Free by Almax27 2014-12-13T18:36:00

The line-of-sight shader is top-notch on this. The game is great fun, and a fantastic entry to the competition on it's own, but that shader man. Great work!

Behind The Fog by fullmontis 2014-12-11T08:54:00

Great atmosphere on this!

Blob Thing's Epic Escape From the Lab by samgj 2014-12-22T03:11:00

You seemed to launch off when you got to the top of a ladder, which was sort of odd. Fun game though!

Escape the darkness - by dearenot by dearenot 2014-12-09T06:35:00

Sort of gets easier as you go, but interesting game. I didnt hear any music or audio.

PostFour : Reconstruction by monika 2014-12-12T09:06:00

I love the theme. I don't think I've seen a post-4x game, especially not one in made 72 hours. I think if you had made the trade interactions a bit more visual it would have packed more punch (hit "Trade" and it immidiately shows the effect it has on both systems).
Also, I love that you used d3.js, very clever!

Maze of Titans by Piscythe 2014-12-22T03:08:00

Played quite well, once I got used to the control scheme and how the game operated. Couldn't find a way of killing the double-wide/tall blocks, even if I hit them with lasers 5 or 6 times back-to-back. The text was also extremely hard to read, and the "Blast" bar didn't seem to do anything?
Great entry, though!

Spacey Trail by Jacksendary 2014-12-09T06:43:00

Dropbox seems to have crapped out on the web version

Dark Ages Light Meal by FistBumpGames 2014-12-09T05:25:00

Seems to be some issues with the performance and overall gameplay and resolution, the goal is also unclear.

Astrador by sirikan 2014-12-09T06:04:00

I liked it, theres some balance and rules issues potentially, but a solid idea. Plus, it would totally all fit on one screen if I didnt have so many cards.

Joof by Joof 2014-12-09T06:46:00

Web version appears broken

Harvestier by killthealias 2014-12-18T04:00:00

Little bit on the simple side, but nice shader, textures, controls, music, and self-explanatory mechanics. Great entry!

Valhalla by snickersnacks 2014-12-11T09:20:00

Ha, interesting game. Ends somewhat abruptly, but good fun :)

Attack of the cybernetic aliens by mathias234 2014-12-09T06:26:00

No strafing makes the game a lot about quick mouse movements if thats what you were going for. Bullets are indeed hard to see.

Screen Savers by VikingWarriors 2014-12-22T03:18:00

Ha, clever use of the theme. The player seemed to float a bit much, which made landing accurately awkward.

Sweep Stacks by excaliburjs 2014-12-11T04:52:00

Wow, this is great! Are you sure you made it in only a couple days?

At the End by OFF 2014-12-12T09:11:00

Really interesting concept and the graphics and voice work totally fit the mood you were going for. But it was a bit frustrating dodging the circles. Maybe have a reticule that takes of half the screen that you have to have avoid the circles? That way you get some notification that a circle is coming and that you can avoid it without it just popping up and you taking damage.

Great entry!

Same Insane by hazzahazzam 2014-12-09T06:41:00

I thought it was worth having a humor vote!

It's a website about video games. by Zyrconium 2014-12-14T19:24:00

Ha, nice job at distilling a clicker game to it's very basics. Great entry!

Zombie City by Samm 2014-12-09T05:27:00

Yeah, thanks for the feedback. Like dungeo said, we were going to have a more subtle song for the game, but didn't get around to it. Also balance (and a few small rule changes) are the number one thing we identified as necessary to make it more fun and replayable.

Zombie City by Samm 2014-12-09T06:47:00

@Germanunkol, we'll get a Linux version up soon!

Zombie City by Samm 2014-12-12T06:41:00

Thanks for all the positive feedback and criticism! I had no real idea what to expect and was a little worried, but these responses are very encouraging.

The Box by OriginalOldMan 2014-12-18T05:26:00

A bit unpolished, and sometimes the physics seemed a bit odd, but a really clever concept! Plays really well for 72 hours :)

Death Heap by madcapacity 2014-12-11T04:14:00

Haha, this is great!

My one complaint is that jumping seemed a bit hit or miss. I'd hit the jump key and not move at least half the time. Even with that happening, it was a great game!

Never Die by Proximal Pyro 2014-12-18T07:20:00

Game would be a bit funner if you could shoot a bit faster, didn't tend to get stuck on enemies, or moved a bit swifter.

That being said, the fog of war mechanic was awesome. I know it's only one component of the game, but having the "giant pixel" fog of war system totally made the game for me. Great entry!

Tight Angle by lase 2014-12-11T04:27:00

Pretty fun, but the mechanic of being pushed back when being shot seems to play against how slow your character moves. Maybe upping the character move speed, while also causing the pushback effect to be larger might offset it?

Great entry though :)

Helga Kills Everything by mutatedsoftware 2014-12-11T04:47:00

Ha, "Murder points" :D

Coloured Ink by BaneStar007 2014-12-11T05:10:00

Hard to understand the mechanics at play in this.

Lone by BlueTheLemon 2014-12-11T05:09:00

Couldn't play in web either. It just sat on the main screen no matter what I did. Great music, though :)

Save Xmas Gifts by Gread72 2014-12-18T05:16:00

Fun little game. Probably should add some bounding boxes on the edge of the screen so the trampoline doesn't fly off the edge :)

rougish by kraln 2014-12-11T05:44:00

It's nice to see a ASCII roguelike in the mix. I was considering making one for the jam, but I'm glad to see you nailed the idea :)

Squint Maze by AlSweigart 2014-12-11T06:24:00

Haha, it hurts to even look at this game. Well done!

Screen-Warrior by spas 2014-12-11T06:30:00

I love that you put the snowman as the background :D

PaintBoxWars by Mirakill 2014-12-11T04:41:00

Interesting concept. I think that if you shrunk the region of the sky in which the screen clear effect happens, it would have a better impact. As is, the majority of the time it's almost impossible to play with how much of the screen is distorted.
That being said, it was definitely an effective spritemare :)

Gray Goo by Arowx 2014-12-13T18:23:00

Great artwork and a great way of making it an "Entire Game On One Screen". Maybe make a bit more variation on enemies if you update it in the future?
