First of all: Thanks for giving Game Maker to the world. Without it, my entry wouldn't exist (I know that, because no other game making software gave me that amount of freedom while keeping it manageable at the same time).
@game
I liked it, especially the mysterious atmosphere. The music was good. What I liked most was the boss fight. It was so simple but also very challenging and fun! :)
A thing I really had problems with was finding the right timing for jumps over large gaps.
4* from me!
I kept smiling all the time while playing, it's really a fun game! ^^
I like how simple but good the concept is! 4*
This. Was. Great!
I really loved this game, it had that old Point'n'Click Adventure vibe all over it! It was fun to play and very funny!
Great job, I hope you'll make a longer Adventure game someday! :) 5*
I liked it. :)
After I finally noticed that you can accelerate with W it was really fun. ^^
Great graphics, nice gameplay, good sound, overall a very good game. :)
@Mark Overmars
Thanks for making Game Maker. Without it, I wouldn't have a platform to develop my games on. ^^
@game
A solid entry, but not very innovative. I liked the simple graphics, the controls were a little hard to handle, I used only the arrow keys for most of the time. Unfortunately I died in the crypt. :(
Somehow the game doesn't work on my PC. The controls are broken, when I click with the mouse, a totally different block gets highlighted. Or did I misunderstand the game logic?
I'm using Firefox 6.0.
I think this is the only compo game I beat twice! :D
Wow, just wow! The atmosphere is so intense! It makes me angry that there is no way to rate the atmosphere of the game (why should every game be humorous?).
The best entry I've played so far. :)
I liked it. Shows that a good concept can make a good game despite the lack of decent graphics.
Great work! :)
Good that you can now finish the level. I was really surprised when I could suddenly move the boxes and was free! :D 4*
Yeah, the gameplay definitely needs some polishing, but unfortunately I didn't have the time for it.
@matthias_zarzecki
The tutorial text was only a workaround, because I didn't have the time to implement a message system.
@JohanAR
That's part of the concept, that you use the head for certain parts and the body for other parts, but also use both to reach the exit. The levels have been made rather quickly, so perhaps they're not good enough to really motivate the player to use different combinations.
But thanks a lot for the comments! :)
What kind of errors did you get? Did it say something?
I never heard of such errors with Game Maker games. And I'm using the standard library only. Did you try the version I uploaded directly on YoYo Games? They're identical, but who knows?
Perhaps you could also try to run it in compatibility mode.
Hope that helps.

Great entry, I really liked it. :)
I have to admit, I didn't get past the first hole (and I tried at least ten times...). The controls are very hard to handle, which killed all the fun for me.
But the graphics are very nice. :)
Ending 1 was really a surprise. I didn't find the other too, though. :(
I guess it would be hopeless to search the internet for a walkthrough. ^^
But the game is definitely interesting.
Great, little game! :)
Btw. my highscore is 12.
I enjoyed the game very much, it was hectic and fun at the same time. :)
Now I'll make myself a nice cup of tea. ^^
By far the best game I played so far. You've done it again, Jussi. :D
Great idea and execution, enjoyed this a lot!
Awesome game! Really liked the whole style!
Nice game. I really like the feedback and sounds, it almost has a flipper table vibe to it. :)
Nice concept and great execution, but I stumbled upon some bugs. Sometimes I would traverse to another node, just to be set back to the old one.
I must say I'm impressed. This is really a fun, little game that works pretty well. It took my some time to get the hang of it, but I never felt overwhelmed.
One of my favorite games so far. 5/5
Fun game, I like the controls and style, but the music was a bit too much for me.
Awesome graphics!
I really like the graphics, but I didn't get how to win. When I thought I had all the elements, the end result showed just an empty planet with 0 score. But still a great entry. ^^
Wonderful and very atmospheric story that drags you right in. Very well done! :)
Games like that are really addicting to me, I want to see what comes next. Great job! :)
Awesome game! Really like the graphics and the overall mood. :)
Wow, great concept, well executed!
Hey, our games have the same name. :D
Cool idea and good execution. :)
Really like the graphics and shader. :)
I really liked the chess part, the other one was really easy. Overall nice package.
This is awesome! I love interactive stories and the fact that I could be part of it made it special. I know it's not the first of its kind, but very well done, the atmosphere was really nice. And the best thing: this game becomes better, the more people play it. Will definitely come back to this one.
Nicely done! I liked the exploration and mystery to it. :)
I couldn't really figure out if I had to move to the right, the left or just stay in the middle. Well, I died when I left the screen, so I knew afterwards.
There's not much to the game, but what's there is ok.
Would be cooler if the game would not need an installation (which can easily done with Game Maker).
Awesome graphics, the music was nice, but way too loud. I liked the gameplay, but I was pretty bad at it. ^^
That was nice, I really liked the game, although it was very hard for me. Maybe in the beginning there should only be energy boosts. Also if a planet gets hit, it could just explode and the game could go on until there's no planet left.
I liked the graphics, but it was very hard to navigate and I died a lot. (in the first level)
Very well done for 48 hours.
That... was.. awesome! :D
I liked the graphics, the gameplay was a bit hard to get into (at first I kept spawning enemies until I figured out what to do :D)
The graphics are a little blurry, but I liked the style. Nice short game. :)
@tigerbyte Thanks for the feedback. I'm also not happy with the whole controller configuration, but I didn't have enough time to think of something better.
I was told at a previous LD that you don't have to include all the code, just an example for verification purposes.
@Skills641
Did it say something? Did it crash? A little more info would be great.
@SuperPokeunicorn
Thanks so much, Tower Fall was definitely an inspiration for me. I'll probably release an updated version later with sound and more arenas.
@lion123
That's actually a bug, as I left the debug controls in the game. :D So yeah, the game breaks when you press Enter repeatedly.
@esayitch
Thank you. That's not a glitch, the wheel really can drive up walls, that's its special ability. The slime can walljump, the UFO can fly and the tank can hover. But yeah, the collision detection is still a bit buggy.
@jprogman
I'm adding respawning right now, so it'll be in the post-compo version.
@Terrabalt
Coding an AI for bots would've been a bit too much for 48h. ^^
Maybe I'll add enemies in a post-compo version.
Awesome graphics and intriguing gameplay! Good job! :)
Great idea for a game!
