This game is damn cool.

This game is damn cool.
Addendum: It appears that Level 4 may not actually be completable. <sigh>
Well, it's too late to do anything about it now I guess, once the deadline's passed. Wubbish.
IMPORTANT!
So it turns out in order to run it, you need the latest version of DirectX installed.
You can get it from the link below. It's fairly painless.
I had tried including the D3DX DLLs myself in the zip, but it turns out this doesn't work. <sigh> Note to self, don't use D3DX ever again, even in a 48hr compo...

Sorry you guys are having trouble loading it still. I have no idea why unfortunately :-(
Yeah, it does require shaders (PS2.0 at least), and I also used floating point textures too. I guess next time I'll aim the min-spec a little lower. I didn't think it'd be that demanding, as it runs fine on my laptop, but I guess not.
Just wanted to point out that I completed the game without using telekinesis at all (as I didn't read the instructions properly) :-)
Small update: Fixed a couple of minor bugs which could prevent you completing the game.
Wow, thanks guys! :-)
I didn't expect such a positive response to it.
Heh, yeah the audio was a real rush-job. It doth indeed suck a bit. Still, better than nothing.
I gave up once I got to the invisible platforms, too damn bastard hard :-)
But well done though, this game rocked!
I loved the intro, it was very charming.
It didn't seem like collecting the red was really necessary to complete the game?
The theme is a nice idea, but I don't think you tell it very well with the gameplay.
Harday is indeed hard.
WHY AM I IN A CATBALLOON?
Wasn't able to play it unfortunately (Win7 x64), it crashes inside TinyOAL.dll
I'm glad to see someone else has read Truckers though :-)
This didn't seem to want to run for me (no error given, it just wouldn't display in the applet html, and wouldn't launch from the jar directly).
tl;dr java is many things, but easy to run is not one of them.
I think it might be better if it were zoomed out a little, so you could see further ahead.
I still can't decide if it's right that the bullets bend around the world or not. :-)
Would have helped if you hadn't used the same shades of blue and green for everything :-)
I think it'd be a lot more fun if stuff came at you in attack waves, rather just constantly.
This isn't a game. And there's no source code.
Hey thanks guys!
Yeah there's no sound at all. I agree it really needed some, but as it was I barely made it in time for the submission!
MadGnomeGamer: Most likely you have a very old graphics card? Probably one that doesn't support hardware T&L, or shaders, or something. Sorry about that.
I like you.
I have to be honest, I don't really understand what I'm supposed to be doing here.
If I try and keep them in the boxes, I lose. If I just move all the boxes out of the way, I win easily. I'm not sure what the mechanic is here.
I like the music though. Very Dig-Dug.
