(mojang-joke was fine :-))
Gameplay wise this game is genius, the boss design was also stunningly good. You sir are a master designer, that kind of gameplay polish requires either: intensive playtesting, or extensive design experience.

First of all: Thanks for giving Game Maker to the world. Without it, my entry wouldn't exist (I know that, because no other game making software gave me that amount of freedom while keeping it manageable at the same time).
@game
I liked it, especially the mysterious atmosphere. The music was good. What I liked most was the boss fight. It was so simple but also very challenging and fun! :)
A thing I really had problems with was finding the right timing for jumps over large gaps.
4* from me!
Man this entry was pretty good. The pixel graphics, worked well with the music and the boss fights were pretty neat.
Also I died to the 2nd bosses final shot while he was dying which made me laugh and cry a bit.

Cool. Seems you've used the 48 hours "properly" by making a relatively simple but big game with lots of game-type stuff in it. I never seem capable of that for some reason...
It's nice that you can play through it all quite fast if you want to, or take your time to explore various secrets. I did give it two tries, but it would seem I'm outsmarted by the last boss. No idea how to harm it.
Player movement seems smooth and solid, but for some reason it only runs at 30 fps which prevents complete fluidity.

Very good platformer (nice level design especially and bosses) and music is very good and fitting to the game. Congratz, one of the best.

Elegant balance of simplicity and delight. This is a great example of how straightforward something this fun can be. TBH, it's *exactly* the kind of result one could get just doing the GM Platformer Tutorial!
