LD26 — Minimalism

silly squares by lightsoda 2013-04-28T20:18:00

That red power-up is a life saver!

Ludum Dark by Zampi 2013-05-02T05:06:00

The graphics are surreal. Are you going to make the source available? currently the link to the source is returning an error: The requested URL /LD26/Source.zip was not found on this server.

Sequence to Minimalism by ShawnFeatherly 2013-04-29T20:25:00

Yeah, the UI to make what's happening clear needs work. Here's an explanation; the dialog with 3 text boxes shows the first 3 numbers of a number sequence, from top to bottom. The game uses those 3 numbers to generate the rest of a number sequence; i.e. 1,2,3 becomes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. That sequence is used to remove cubes. The first number removes red cubes, the second green, the third blue, the fourth goes back to red, etc. This goes on until there aren't enough cubes left for the next number in the sequence.

Sequence to Minimalism by ShawnFeatherly 2013-05-02T05:03:00

If you mean how I create the number sequences, the equation is explained on this site: http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/51538.html

My implementation of it is on lines 115-117 of this file: https://github.com/Feddas/LudumDare26/blob/master/Assets/Scripts/CreateCubes.cs

Maximalism by Suyo 2013-04-28T20:37:00

Great game. The first level totally reminds me how much I suck at micro in Starcraft2. Doubles as great micro training!

Leaf Me Alone by Claw 2013-05-25T23:25:00

Two spoilers/walkthrough tips for those stuck:
1. The objective of the game has to do with the door that you start the game next to.
2. The spinning flowers give you momentum if you continue floating by more than one.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Ten Seconds of Thrust! by wulfdesign 2013-08-26T03:43:00

Yay for usable negative fuel. :-D

Tinkle Time by ShawnFeatherly 2013-08-25T22:34:00

Cheats:
if you're at 63% - 69% pick 30 min.
if you're at 56% - 63% pick 1 hr.
if you're at 50% - 56% pick 1.5 hr.

Tinkle Time by ShawnFeatherly 2013-08-26T04:55:00

Glad you guys like it! Thanks :-)

Steve, try getting drinks somewhere in the middle of the 2 endings you received. you want to eyeball the yellow bar in the top left to be between 50% - 70%. Then use the cheat shown in the first comment to pick the right wait time.

Tinkle Time by ShawnFeatherly 2013-08-28T03:39:00

Linux build added! Let me know if it works. Never built for Linux before.

Just Another Game With A 10 Second Mechanic by jugglerrob 2013-08-26T03:21:00

Cool idea. Using the arrow keys instead of a/d make it impossible it the space bar as well.

Hold My Beer! by Lars Faust 2013-08-26T09:16:00

Each frame is a different puzzle to figure out. Couldn't figure out what it has to do with the "10 seconds" theme. But great retro style puzzles!

Lil' Kingdom Strives To Survive by lucidlarva 2013-08-26T08:36:00

Pretty cool. I do wish the mouse didn't effect scrolling at all, only the arrow keys or WSAD for scrolling.

Would also be awesome to be able to click a house then a resource at the top. The house would mine the closest resource of that type.

10 Second Sculptor by nathanhoffer 2013-08-26T02:39:00

Pretty cool, tho pretty hard to tell if an object is hollow or not.

Starship Physics by cwkx 2013-09-27T10:53:00

Awesome game!

For me the ultimate space ship was a straight line, a single cube high horizontal line. The left half thrusters, the right half lasers. It's easy to evade attacks, easy to collect, only spawns the little guys, and tosses some nasty javelins.

CaptureZ by whydoidoit 2013-08-26T02:45:00

Cool idea! That turn radius makes it maybe too hard.

Knight's Temper by madruse 2013-08-26T03:36:00

Awesome idea. You should add an explanation of what's going on and the controls. From what I can tell you attack every 10 seconds, use this to stay alive as long as possible. The controls seem buggy however, like after a while down takes you SouthWest instead of just South.

Monster every 10 seconds by seth vincent 2013-08-28T19:30:00

I had to play again to see the squatting animation, it is awesome!

LD28 — You Only Get One

Mega Gungineer Chronicles 3: Final Gun! by StoneMonkeyStudios 2013-12-18T07:03:00

Cool take on the theme. Also, great art & audio.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

RGB by orukinawa 2014-08-25T06:26:00

I like the idea. But I was unable to figure out what makes a color unable to go through another color versus not.

Connected Worlds by Dry Tree 2014-08-28T04:52:00

Great fit to the theme

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Tower Trasher by graebor 2014-12-08T05:43:00

Awesome game! I like the way the units are balanced. It's a bit difficult to tell which units you have selected. Also, be nice to single click to select a single unit.

discrepancy by reheated 2014-12-30T22:38:00

Great puzzle mechanic and great levels! I found level 14 trickier than 15.

On a Screen Door by ShawnFeatherly 2014-12-11T18:13:00

Thanks for all the comments :-)

I did mean to submit it as a compo entry. The photos I used for the skybox aren't one's I took myself. I only did the work to create a Unity3D skybox with the images. I thought if we made clear what parts were from other sites we're okay?

You know, I didn't really examine the grass much. I thought it was from some photos. But now that I look at it more, maybe it is ComputerGenerated.

Borkmaster by Esjaji 2014-12-13T11:04:00

Awesome theme implementation. I like how you did the double jump mechanic. Getting it at the peak isn't something I'm used to with double jump. The hero does seem unusually sticky.

SumoAttack by Blister 2014-12-13T10:45:00

I love these real-time multiplayer on the same device games. Great work on this one! Not saying you copied this, but if I make a game it's because I like playing that kind of game. so just incase you haven't heard of it, check out "King of Opera" if you have an Android device.

Abelian by merrak 2014-12-10T06:09:00

I like the generated levels, yet the difficulty scaling doesn't seem consistent on retries.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Volcano Heist by barret907k 2015-04-21T17:10:00

Took a couple tries to figure out what was going on, but once I did, I liked it. To other players, re-read the intro text after you give it your first try!

(mental)fairy by 0x0961h 2015-04-20T06:32:00

Fun game. I liked discovering where I could just stand in the middle and hold down the fire button to kill the guys on both sides.

Magnets, How Do They Work? by Lizzip 2015-04-20T09:02:00

Awesome, game. The player having to avoid hitting the wall was just frustrating deaths.

Gunpowder Engine by ShawnFeatherly 2015-04-21T16:59:00

I did have some trouble making the car playable, at first I was trying out using the gun explosion to propel the car. In the end, I realized I'd need more time for good vehicle physics.

Ghost Alone by PoQA Games 2015-04-27T08:17:00

Awesome, your pretty much did "choose your unconventional weapon". Found myself just bumping the ghost randomly around in whatever room the bad guys were in. Another mechanic that might work better could be clicking an item for the ghost to posses it, then do an angry birds aiming thing with that possessed item.

Ramming Speed by dingotime 2015-04-20T08:34:00

Great game. My mouse skills kind of suck tho. Would be cool if you allowed for WASD or a gamepad analog stick instead of the mouse.

Beep Boop by CJ K 2015-04-21T17:22:00

Loved the level design and overall mood. Wouldn't mind a few more re-spawn points along the way tho.

Backfire by Marjie62 2015-04-23T05:12:00

Great puzzles, great music, and well written plot. An undo button (or speed up) would be nice for when you realize too late that you messed up your last couple moves.

Dental Desperados by biscuitdough 2015-04-21T17:25:00

Well polished game mechanic.

Don't steal my toaster! by MrDave 2015-04-20T09:09:00

Cool game idea and execution of it. It seems a bit overly tricky to lay down barricades.

Gift Of The Gods by MightyToast 2015-04-21T16:56:00

Love the "you have died" recording.

Pacifist Piper by Pete Hufnagel 2015-04-27T08:06:00

Great game. The hit box got me killed unexpectedly a few times.

Investigator and the Case of the Unconventional Weapon by constancecchen 2015-04-27T08:00:00

awesome dialog, music and art. The feasibility of the inspectors final deduction seems a bit too crazy.

A Good Tunnel Is Hard To Dig by Draknek 2015-05-01T06:14:00

Awesome puzzle twist on that old game "Boulder Dash"

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

zooMzoo by envy3d 2015-12-19T06:33:00

Took me a while to figure out the turn button was toggling from turn left to turn right (I'm slow). Yet loved that mechanic after figuring it out.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Loop Factory by Nitero 2020-10-08T21:39:22Z

Great game. Loved how even though the mechanics stay the same, I had to change my style of playing to progress. I'm debating if a pause feature would even be good, the frantic nature gives completing a level that much more satisfaction.
