The game is really frustrating to play as you can't really dodge the asteroids while maintaining balance. The graphics are nice though.

Amazing game. Had a smile on my face the whole time I played and every level the smile just got bigger (because of the nice sound effects :D). I also liked that you didn't restrict the player to complete the level only 1 way but allowed going to the finish other ways too.
The movement felt a bit too clunky but graphics and sound wise this is really polished.
Really loved this game. The mood, the graphics and the audio are great. Nice to see that you have paid attention to small details. The gameplay is somewhat mediocre from an user experience perspective: it's rather hard to remember which button to use to do something (and not throw your glasses of beer/whiskey out of your hand :D. Playing the windows build, the mouse cursor didn't get hidden and was always distracting me in the center. Would also be cool if I could have used the gun on the wall.
The game itself is pretty fun to play and the graphics and sound are really well done. The downside is that it got boring for me and my friend after the first 10-15 minutes when we had the basic mechanics down. Otherwise, good job :).
A pretty solid game. Could have included some music to make the time spent more worthwhile. Also I had hard time distinguishing the color of different blocks before they were destroyed. This meant that every level just became a mindless grind to find the right blocks.
This game is just great! Especially loved the music. There are basically no flaws I can see in your gameplay.
@michael-wingfield I agree with you that the game is too hard or even unfair at times (you don't know where you will land after jumping). I planned to add some torches or candles throughout the level so the player could get a sense where it is safe but sadly I couldn't get the shader for additional lights to work :(. And then the day after the deadline I stumbled upon an article that explained the very thing I was trying to make... but adding this now wouldn't be right by the rules.
Maybe I should just put up a video for players who can't reach the ending? Or maybe I should leave the ending as a bonus for players who successfully complete it?
@shp Near the deadline I also thought that the death dialogue was too long but I didn't get around to making it skippable. Do you think I could add it now?
@aterlamia Could you explain more what you were doing in the console when it crashed? I can get a fix in I think.
Thanks for the feedback though.
@coomzy Thanks for the feedback! The point of the game was to find a way to stop the memory from slowly running out. It can be accomplished by doing a hard jump near the top-left of the map.
Also it isn't too hard for me to release links for every hotfix because I have to update the link anyway :D
@leeloo Thank you for the feedback. I will look into adding a restart option
@drevilbrain Thanks! I had some plans for generating random maps each run at the beginning but after some time of searching how to generate maps reliably that have all the rooms connected I decided that it would take too much time to implement.
@blinkenlights , thanks for the feedback.
@paveldlouhy , Thanks for the feedback. To answer your question: I did compose this during the 48 hours (actually during the last 2 hours before the deadline :D).
It was hard to tell why I can't build something (even though I had the resources it needed... I think). The graphics also didn't fit well together with the rest of the game in my opinion. But I had some fun with this game figuring out the optimal setup, so good job :)
What I liked: * The graphics * The audio * The mood * The story
What I didn't like: * Holding down left mouse button didn't continue moving * Some enemies did damage after they died
Bugs: * It is possible to glitch through the wall in some tight places and then you can wslk out of the map * 2 enemies spawning in eachother and thus making it hard to predict
Wrath only char too OP
@lienthealien Sure, tag me here once it's up.
This game is amazing. Such a simple concept but so well executed. The graphics and the audio really help to create the mood that the game implies. At the end I really started feeling like stuck. Also are the words hand-picked? Because it felt to me that every word was negative.
I also had a problem with the game: when aiming left or right, it was really hard to distinguish at which level the word would end up (because of the 3D nature of the blocks). This could be improved by using a highlight or a grid.
Anyway, good job :)
Enjoyed playing this game a lot. Definitely gets the mood of the STALKER games right. In my opinion there could have been more randomness to the game so running away from a pack of dogs doesn't always end badly etc...
When I first started I didn't realize that you had to remove the rested old men from the fire (that's what you get for not reading the tutorial), so at the end I had everything full of rested men and then I just swept them all out and got a massive combo bonus :D
The second time I played I couldn't even get near to that by managing old men normally.
Anyway, It was a great game. Gave off really cozy vibes. You should develop it a bit further and then even maybe sell it somewhere.
The gameplay got boring a little too fast but the music and art was on point :)
Amazing game, really loved it. Espescially loved the graphics and sound. The only problem I had was that it started lagging after I had about 10 enemies on the screen at once and tried hitting.
The art and sound are on point. I also really like how simple this game is mechanically. Aside from the controls being a bit too aggressive (making it harder to land on a platform) and some minor bugs, this game is great!
As other commenters mentioned, the ship feels too slow. Other than that, I loved the graphics and the idea of the game.
The gameplay was engaging and the music was really catchy. I liked it :)
I really like this game. It feels polished and invites you to play for longer and longer. Also it has this kinda Motherload vibe. The graphics are awesome and the music is pretty great(especially liked that the beats are synced with the HP going away :)), although it gets a bit repetitive after a while. One thing that stood out was the smoothness of the controls, everything felt fluid and I did not get stuck anywhere. For a compo game this is incredible.
One of my favourite games I have played so far!
The music and graphics really create an interesting atmosphere and the puzzles really force you to think. In the end, I had like a minute left but still 2 puzzles incomplete (the numbers and the levers). Then I figured out the numbers puzzle solution and just clicked the levers until the door opened. Somehow I finished this game with only 13 seconds to spare.
All in all, I got a memorable emotion out of it and that is great.
I really liked the art and audio in this game, but the gameplay part fell a bit short IMO. Also Wolfram best waifu.
This game is impressive. The idea is really great and the graphics and audio fit well together. Also the small touches like showing granny's past are cool. Kind of wish I could read the final will :D. All in all, probably one of the greatest games I have played this jam :)
The graphics and audio were great and the gameplay was solid. The only problem I had with this game is that the combos are hard to understand (the images showing different types of people look too same).
The idea of transformation when you pick up money bags is quite brilliant IMO. The controls felt kind of sluggish, but the art was nice.
The gameplay of this game is rather hard to grasp (had to re-read the instructions many times). Other than that, it is fun and the sounds are funny :)
I got a score of 919 in the end. The game is aesthetically pleasing and the audio is great. IMO it is a bit hard to control the characters and look around (maybe a top down view would have worked better) but the gameplay itself is fun. Also some MGS references? :)
Amazing game. The gameplay was kind of addictive, and the art was well done. I liked it :)
This game looks really good. The animation was just on point and the film grain effect really added to the final result.
The gameplay was interesting but the controls were sluggish and the character moved too slowly, which meant that restarting a level took forever. I also wish there was some indicator that showed what there is when you jump down some random hole because it took like 5-10 tries more to complete the second level just because I jumped into water and died. This could also have been solved using some platforms the player could jump down to (so there is a reaction time factor).
All in all, the idea of this game is incredible and this game has potential if you improve the controls.
I love this game!
The graphics look nice and remind me of Half Life 1 textures in some places. The voice acting was also done really well. The gameplay is solid, more different puzzles would have been more fun. The rythm based hydraulic presses were great. I think it would've been awesome if you had included more of those with more complex patterns. The ending was rather disappointing :)
I also noticed some bugs. For example, sometimes the clones vision was tinted blue-ish after respawning. This was easily fixed by dying again. Also the placement key didn't work sometimes when trying to place things under the hydraulic press.
This game fits the theme like a glove :)
I loved the pixel art graphics and the music with the cat meows blended in. Creates a good mood. However, the gameplay is just a basic cookie clicker without anything special added to it.
Great game! The pixel art makes the mood in this game just right and the sounds and music only add to that. Controlling the character feels smooth and almost everything is understandable from the start.
The only problem I had with this game is that I almost ragequit because I could not find how to start the game. In addition the overworld transitions from/to black were too long.
The game was pretty enjoyable to play and the mechanic used was fun to try, so many possibilities. Only negative things about this game are that the music was a bit too loud+annoying and the movement controller could have been a bit better. Still, this is an amazing game for a gamejam game :)
@joe-williamson I replayed the game just to better understand the things I don't like. While the music is normalised, the thing that makes it feel loud is that the sound effects are quieter than the music. I think it should be the other way around. Also the music got annoying for me because of the style. It was great to listen for 1-2 times because it was really epic but the humming got distracting as I was stuck figuring out what to do later in the game.
As for the controller the movement is a bit too fast IMO. I think some wind-up/wind-down when starting/stopping would help. But this is nothing gamebreaking and just takes 1-2 games to get used to and the rest of the game is still really great and innovative :)
Visually and audio wise it was pretty great. The game itself was also really fun to play, although it got a bit boring near the end.
This game is really really really amazing. At first I was stunned by the music and the visual style. After I got hang of the mechanics the game started to be really fun to play too. Then I died and I thought to myself "it's a shame that you don't give a continue option or something" and a few seconds later I got to restart the same level so I was relieved :D Definitely one of the most polished games I have played this jam :)
Gameplay wise this game is pretty good. There were some problems: The audio was too loud so it got irritating too fast and the screen shake was also headache inducing. The movement could have been a bit better, currently playing it felt like I was rolling on ice in some places. Otherwise, good job.
The gameplay was pretty fun. The placement of blocks have been a bit easier and hitting opponents was also a bit too hard. Otherwise, great job, felt like an RPG.
The movement felt awkward and most of the time I didn't understand where my hitbox was. But other than that, everything else(graphics, audio and story) was executed really well.
The game was really fun to play and the story, audio and graphics were well done. My only problems with the gameplay were that it took too many side missions to get items for the main mission(sometimes I did 5+ missions without getting any required parts) and that you could spam the floppies mindlessly(the other parts were useless).
I really liked the graphics and audio of this game. The city building was also a good part of this game, but I would've liked that you added something that works against you(maybe the buildings get destroyed by monsters after a while, currently there was no reason to just keep on playing). I also think that some bunnies spawn for a little too short time(like 1-2 frames) to be even be able to move towards and click on them. Overall, it was a nice experience.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the destroy building shortcut (W-B-C) doesn't work. Clicking on the button manually works though.
Really liked the visuals and soundtrack of this game. The mechanics are also solid and novel. One thing that was annoying to me was that the text box isn't auto selected on starting a level and in the menu. I almost didn't play because I couldn't find out how to start the game.
This game was really fun for me and kept me playing for a while. I had 2 problems with this game. Firstly, the font used didn't differentiate between 'U' and 'V' too well so I ended up pressing U when I needed to press V. Secondly, the game slowed down after playing a while and didn't seem to speed back up. Also I think some music and sound effects would've made this game a lot more fun.
The game looks really nice, especially the graphics and sound effects. One problem I have with the game is that the game is too unforgiving from the start on: if you make a wrong choice it will propagate on to the next turns. Also money is really dire so there's really no point getting an airstrike or building a barbed wire. Music would've also been a good addition to this game.
The game was really fun to play: the graphics and sound effects really came together and the depressing mood was really well executed. One thing I had problems with was the shooting: sometimes the bullets went through enemies, not damaging them. The ending was also a thing I liked.
@kr4ft3r Thanks for the feedback. Many of these features were planned to be added, but unfortunately we ran out of time.
@jimmothysanchez Thanks for the feedback. We planned to implement a pause menu where you could quit, but we ran out of time and directly using ESC to quit felt a little too frustrating(maybe you wanted to pause, instead you would have lost all your progress).
@cool-summit Thanks!
@theMonsterFromTheDeep There is a specific mechanic in place against this very thing you describe: when the enemies cannot find a path to your base(you are blocking them fully), they will take the shortest route and will eat through your body at that part, meaning you now have a small snake again :). But otherwise they will try to find a way around you, which means that you can build a snake labyrinth of sorts. In the earlier versions of the game, the eating through didn't work and at one point you had infinite farming capabilities.
The audio category is disabled because the sounds and the music were not made by us(found from net).
@Mektidas currently there are no plans to continue working on this.
