It seems that I forgot to upload the latest version of the WebGL build :( I'm not sure if the Windows version is the latest. If I remember correctly, the bugs I fixed made the game easier, so it shouldn't be too hard now :D

Beautiful graphics. The hud is gorgeous. I disliked ships spawning in the middle of the screen out of nowhere. Overall, it definitely hit my retro nerves. :)

Nice graphics, too bad there aren't any sfx!

I liked that the ships had their own strategies on how to avoid being shot. And how the humans were thrown out of the Civilian ship. When I finally downed a supply ship I forgot what the key for boarding was and had to look it up 😂.

Absolutely adored the style and mood of the game. Got a space exploration vibe immediately. But it wasn't really fun for me. Didn't feel any room for tactics or skill except for flying almost into enemy and shooting repeatedly. Dodging in this game is too difficult for me as well.

Interesting game! I ran into some minor bugs like getting additional ammo/shields after looting a ship but thats easily fixable. I especially liked the HUD, really creative! I think the combat could use some work as its a bit tedious at the moment.

Nothing more i could say really, great job!

Nice Defender-inspired shooter. Interesting mechanics with boarding or destroying, needed to look up what should be shot or entered twice. The players ship could move a bit faster in my opinion, otherwise good work!

The player ship is just a tad too slow and running out of ammo was a really common occurence for me :D Maybe I'm just used to different kind of shooters. It wasn't quite clear to me when I was able to board enemy ships.

Hey, I like this one! I like the fact that different enemies have different properties and drop items and it kept my interest to complete the game by collecting 10K gold =) I did run in to a few bugs, e.g. some of the ships, especially those that could be boarded, had a tendency to move either down or up beyond range of the guns and also when you boarded a ship the second time it would destruct and you were still stuck for some time. But other than that, I enjoyed the game and it had some retro art to it that I thought was nice too. Well done!!

I loved the UI, artstyle and that RADAR display! The gameplay was nice, but I think it's missing that 'oomph' from aesthetics like flashy explosions or sound effects we see in other games in this genre. Boarding was really fun, and a good idea.

Great compo entry. I beat it! My strategy was "run away from anythign that I can't loot"

Well done, wish it had any kind of sounds at all.

As other commenters mentioned, the ship feels too slow. Other than that, I loved the graphics and the idea of the game.

amerigo-gazaway 2019-05-21 07:29

Great entry! The artwork is fantastic. Would have loved to have heard some music/SFX, if your still in need of that for a post jam version let me know.

pablotitan 2019-05-21 10:47

The ship is very slow and I cannot successfully control the ship and shoot, sad there is no option to shoot in the opposite direction of going :D I kinda can explain that movement in space is relatively really slow when the background stars is the reference. I have problems with understanding the mechanics and purpose of boarding the ship, but I figured it out ;) Graphics are neat ;)

I liked it :) I would advise going for basic sound effects, you can even make reasonable once with just a mic to your mouth! I liked the gameplay, the evaluation you have to make between shooting and looting, and keeping enemies away as you prepare to board. Sometimes, the "board here" sign gets stuck in space for a few seconds after a ship is destroyed, but otherwise it playes pretty much flawlessly. Good job!

atomfox0213 2019-05-21 13:54

Pretty good especially for the Compo!

adam-clayden 2019-05-21 15:21

I like the aesthetic you've gone for but it could do with some sound effects. The movement felt a bit too solid at times and the spawn rate felt a bit sudden. Bit hard to fight and dodge bullets but overall it was fun to play and well polished. Good job!

Nice graphics and gameplay, but ships spawning around me were a bit annoying
