thanks for the well thought out review, i tottally agree with everything you said :) all the messages are randomized to a degree, i think theres something like 10 variants for every outcome.
i like the way the scenery was composed. the game was hella fast though! a good challenge, would probably handle amazingly on a gamepad.
very excitable, i couldnt get past the `drag along the line part` however
doesn`t like windows 32-bit :(
holy wow killing is tough, i have nowhere near the clicking dexterity to finish the baddies off in time.i liked it,but the unskippable opening movie kills replay value.
this is fantastic! the voiceovers made me lol and i love the games structure/flow. so much humor within :)
ahh this is tricky,i keep rolling off as soon as some levels begin. on the plus side, retries are nice and quick which is good for the theme.
i loved the wall of death moments, it`s great how quick retrying from a death is also. good job!
dont think the download link works, it tells me there should be a similar named folder in the same space.
error for me aswell "There should be 'Firespam_Data'
folder next to the executable"
agreed, more tutorial stuff would be nice. smooth controls! liked the style
good stuff, killing things with the whip is fun
the folder becomes corrupted everytime i try to download it, hopefully it`s just me?
this is really fun! such a great use of the 10 second theme, the music made me feel like a badass firefighter
wow, impressive engine, i liked the animation and effects. the starting instructions screen was a little unintuitive however,i managed to get stuck on level 3 lol.how do you activate purple?
the rock, paper, scissors thing is neat. i could actually imagine how this would make for really clever gameplay if you had all three characters in. i like the smooth character movement.
i like the wee jingle and the scrolling stars.
collisions a bit tricky to work around, but apart from that i really enjoyed it. the like the use of all the spaceships cool features and rooms.
simple but well formed :) i could see this being a lot of fun on a touch device. what are the little dudes? they look like sentient phones?
the visuals and sound is lush, but the camera scrolls far too slowly, i had trouble completing the levels cause of it
i know it`s a silly niggle, but driving counter clockwise feels so wierd. aside from that, fun game. there could be a lot of room for innovation in a scaletrix style game
I'd love to hook up to a gimmick controller like a dance pad or a guitar hero controller.
This is the best embodiment of the deep down theme I've seen yet. I love the descending vibe from the camerawork.
I'm impressed you were able to get so much animation done in time. kudos
I'm impressed you've managed to create an upgrade+shop system in the time limit, good job!
This is my favourite game so far. That music really sucks me. Such a simple but compelling gameplay premise.
I love this. Some of the aesthetics made me think of old timey Spectrum style visuals. ~ the dithering and white graphics on a black background. The audio made it feel very gloomy and cave like.
this is phenomenal! The most colourful game from the deeper and deeper theme I've played yet. I love playing with ropes & ladders, it reminds me of world of illusion.
That is an alarming amount of blood to come out of 1 spider. love it.
That's awesome how much stuff there is in here! congrats on making it feel so deep (heh) in such a short amount of time. The vibe of the game felt like a newgrounds/spelunky mish-mash to me.
This is hella atmospheric.
Legit awesome. I could easily imagine a full game like this. Great job on the rope physics and the visuals!
Good job on the UI, feels very polished for a jamgame.
I dig the particle effects from the mining, gives it some oomph.
This is legit fun. The minimalist art makes me think of Lumines/Chime. Good submission!
Super atmospheric, having the enemies be sliding sprites actually enhanced the fear factor for me!
I enjoyed this! I dig the theme. *What if Kojima made a Dr. Mario game*
This is a really good idea. You could build a full legit game from this. Terrific execution too. collisions and controls feel super polished!
What a super unique idea for a submission!
omg this is painfully relatable. It's making me think overcooked + dilbert, I love the office aesthetic and the dorky looking people. This is seriously impressive for a jam game, much kudos.
For four hours of work this is pretty fantastic.
I dig the theme idea. Pirates are always a good time. the floompy controls remind me of that Overboard game from the PS1
This is a neat concept. Like a FPS Warioware almost. I can really see the potential with it
This is nifty, reminds me a ds-i game called mighty milky way.
Spotted a funky issue where once fullscreened, the buttons clickable area seems to shift. But thankfully! there's a rollover animation, so I was able to alleviate that.
I love the presentation here, everything from the menus, sound, menus etc etc Being a zookeeper of sorts for strange alien life is an awesome idea.
This is cursed in the best kind of way
It controls great. level design is good. I dig the audio/visual. thumbs up!
