Wow I was really impressed with this! The music is really incredible, especially when the piano kicks in. It's worth surviving as long as possible just to hear more.
The gameplay with the planets is really engaging, although I feel a bit cramped using it with the low resolution. (By the way, the resolution is cropped on the LD embed and hides a lot of the UI)
The game is way too difficult. It's very creative, and I love it, but I can't for the life of me get anywhere in this game. I've played for about 15 minutes, and in only a single run I killed more than 3 enemies. You can say I'm just bad, but in most situations I found myself in there isn't anything to do. The enemies move at an absurd speed and shoot projectiles, there's no indication of how much health remains on a given enemy, and the player only gets a single hit of health? That's brutal!
And it's a shame too, because I really wanted to continue playing. I love the idea. The level up screen (which I only ever saw a single time) looked really nice! I chose a damage upgrade, since I desperately needed it, but then before the second level up, I got sniped from an off screen enemy as I jumped between planets. consider giving the player 3 hits, which restore to full health when leveling up. It's way less punishing and it lets the player have the opportunity to explore the full potential of the game you have created. Giving the player more leniency and making the game easier should never be considered as a downgrade for your game. The easier it is, the more fun players will have. If you really want it to be difficult, add a secondary (and optional) "hard mode".
The music picking up after the level up was a really cool surprise! Again, the soundtrack is great, but I didn't get to hear nearly enough of it. Ahh, and the graphics! *Stellar* work. The planets look great, and the main character is fantastic (I love the mustache). Seriously, great work on the graphics and audio.
Anyway, yeah, that's about it. The difficulty is a bit much, but I like the game. Nice work.
Graphics are good. Jarring to see two planets pass through each other though. Game is quite hard, only one hit allows no error, even though you can't see where enemies are until it too late. Also found switching planets quite difficult, maybe just my laptops touchpad though. Overall nice game.
This was cool, the gravity and planet jumping was sweet, but unfortunately, I suck at these games, so the cats kept killing me almost instantly. Very cool and fun and cool!
Agree with above, the game is way too difficult. The player should have more than 1 health. Also, sometimes the enemies would spawn right on top of me which felt unfair. I enjoyed the movement mechanics, that was interesting.

Fun little game. I agree that it is a bit on the difficult side, but I'm sure it's possible to get better when playing more. For example, I noticed that you can click on another planet while mid-flight and do some crazy maneuvers. Also I'm a little sad that it's not possible to jump into empty space and lose that way, but I assume that would have made the game insanely difficult :D

Nice concept and mechanic, and the ambience of galaxy is not bad too! Great work! Maybe it will be easier if the screen is larger, so that more planets and incoming enemies can be seen.

Everyone else has mentioned difficulty and tiny screen size, so I'll just add that a little radar or some way of knowing at least which direction the cats are coming from would be excellent. The graphics and music are good though, and I really like the mechanic. There's also some issue (not sure if it's just because I'm running the Windows version on Linux) where if I move my mouse outside of the window then the game freezes and stops working. Other than that, well done!

I really liked the idea that each ten seconds a plamet is created !
I had some bugs with the planet creation mechanic but nothing bad :)
The game is really fun and really simple to play. I also liked the graphics and the sound design even if it's simple.
Goods job !
Great entry! Seems like a lot of fun doing the gravity system for the planets:) I was a bit unsure exactly how the jump mechanic worked since you could click on visible planets and also planets outside the viewport. Another slight issue was that I accidentally clicked away the upgrade menu when trying to shoot since it appeared so quickly. Bonus points for good music!
Cute game! I love the little cat UFOs. The jumping between orbits was really cool. Nice work!
Sometimes the game puts you in a position where you can't escape a cat since you can't jump anywhere so maybe an in-orbit jump could solve that problem. Wish I could shoot mid-air. Good job otherwise!
This jumping mechanic is so satisfying! Also, great music and cute cats. And what a nice moustache to top it all off. The game is a bit hard tho, still, good job! :D
Aw I suck at this game :joy: Here are my personal best:

Though, the game is pretty fun and you sure may have difficulties with planet, gravity and stuffs. I really like your hand-drawned (Paint.exe?) style. It is really cool to see how far you can go within 48 hours.
I think you can put a sign/feedback to planets you can go. It's a bit hard, when there is no other planets on the screen, to jump to another one. Maybe a little arrow to point the nearest planet? That's my feedback.
Cool character, unfortunately a bit too small in this small window !
I really think (But I can't know all your thoughts behind the game) it would be nice to be able to attack when you're not on a planet. I died too many times for that (Or because I was RUSHED by an ennemy... or because there was no more planet to jump on). A lot of failures with the feeling it was not my fault. Maybe some changes could be welcome.
Good job anyway !

This is nifty, reminds me a ds-i game called mighty milky way.
Really great job! I love this idea, I think it is really quirky and fun! I also love the touch of how fast you spin around a planet dependent on the planet's random rotation, really cool! It was fun to shoot and hop around all over the place, but I definitely found it quite challenging as you could be stuck in a scenario where you're wrapping around a planet and have nowhere to jump with an enemy coming up. But overall, really great job with this!
