funny little game bro, go to see my game too please :p
Fun game with a nice drawing style, I didn't like the fact there is no audio though.... It kinda gives me an emtpy feeling!
Fun little detective game. I did run into some bugs, though.
In the scene in the office before meeting Jawbreaker, the pop-up message after inspecting the computer won't close even if you press the button to close. Also, in the scene in the office after meeting Sugar Daddy for the second time, inspecting some items will cause the "Next scene" button to disappear.
Nice artstyle, I liked that if you just skip through scenes there's questions to answer later that are about the content you didn't click on. Unfortunate that there's no audio however. I did hit a bug the second time I entered the police station, where I couldn't do anything after reading one of the things in the room (can't quite remember which, sorry :()
When we started playing the game and talking to the characters we got very invested in our investigation. The characters are funny and wear creative outfits. The candy theme and the jokes are clever and have a lot of personality to them.
Sometimes the wrong character is highlighted or a button doesn't do anything when pressed. We also got stuck on our second day of investigating because the next scene button disappeared.
It's a lot of fun to put the clues together and pay careful attention to the dialogue to not miss any important hints about the mystery and what's going on. We will probably play again to see if we can figure it out!
Immersive! This game is funny, creative and well written. The graphics sparked my imagination and constituted an enjoyable and convincing world. I'm impressed by how much content y'all have created in such a short time!
Very well done on the graphics! The recording on the desk on my second time in the office seems to bug out the game though. Any sort of music would really add to the gameplay.
Interesting genre you chose here. I liked the whole sugar theme of the world and the artsyle of course. The length was also just right for an LD game, but I couldn't really see how it was connected with the deeper and deeper theme.
But I did run into some bugs with the UI. When investigating, sometimes the text was either cut short or there was no text shown at all. The UI in general was quite barebones and was sticking out like a sore thumb next to the rest of the graphics. A few animations here and there would be welcome too.
I also think that the game would benefit a lot by some background music and maybe even some sound effects, because as it is right now it feels kinda empty and lifeless. Even some free stock music would do the job.
It would also be nice if you had a limited amount of time to investigate each room so that you carefully picked your actions instead of doing everything. Picking one of two options on an item was a little weird since your character sound be able to do both of them realistically (why would anyone either take a sample from the bag or take a photo of the name and not do both?)
Feedback - The game was cool - I played it 2 times - At the end it got a bit sloppy though
Good little point and click game! Havent played one in ages! However there is alot of dialouge and no audio which dont help it! But its still good :)
That was fun. The thrid time you enter the precint is a bit bugged, I could not look into the logs, so what I was telling Jawbreaker was a guessing game. But hey at least I got him. I think that you did a nice job on the writing especially using all those puns! The graphics were amazing and probably the best thing about this whole experience. I would love to see this fleshed out a bit, with a few animations and different endings. Also an epilogue would have been nice instead of just a game over screen.
But for a jam game? This is pretty damn good!
There are minor bugs, but it didn't bother me to finish the game. The story was fun, as playing, so good job!
Great job with this, I really liked the writing, very impressed! It did feel a little empty without any sound at all, even just some token background music would be great. The art was fantastic too though. Overall, definitely liked it!
I liked the art and the overall candy theme to the whole game. I think you've got the core of a good game here, but I think the final presentation was a bit too sloppy. My choices didn't seem to change the story much outside of a few lines of dialogue, which is understandable for a game jam game but disappointing nonetheless. The dialogue itself was also a bit sloppy, with some dialogue being either really stilted, cut off, or flat-out placeholder dialogue. Like I said, you've got a sweet nougaty core to the game, but some wayward cream soured the experience for me
