i love guns, thus i love theme. But it seems that there is nothing to shoot. And most combinations arent even working. Also if i cant load new shell when i already hold the gun why i cant place it on the table again?

artalasky 2025-10-06 23:19

@towercrane, Thanks for the feedback.

You can place a cartridge by right-clicking or pressing F.

You probably didn't notice the sequence hint on the wall: first take the shell, then the gunpowder, and only then one of the bullets.

pschichtel 2025-10-07 00:30

I'd really like to play this, but unfortunately the games doesn't run via wine and there is also no Linux or Web builds. The visuals look awesome.

georgeburg 2025-10-07 00:36

The idea behind the project is very cool, and the game is also fun, but it was very difficult to understand at the start of the game :D

mr-kliff 2025-10-07 00:37

Interesting idea, very cool work in 3 days. Great, but it was difficult to understand at first =)

fi7games 2025-10-07 01:13

the models are amazing, the gameplay is nice, bt it was really hard to undersand how to use bullets, cause the titles on the walls are not bright

snowfalleagle 2025-10-07 06:09

Very cool moody atmospheric art. Big respect

kit-gorn 2025-10-07 13:58

Hello, it was a surprise to see you here. At first I saw the nickname and didn’t believe it. I used to watch you chanel and the Flatingo chanel. About the game: The game is not bad, at first it seemed tricky. But once I figured it out, it became easier. The graphics are excellent, as always.

nicso 2025-10-07 16:32

Really cool idea, could easilly transform into a great game.

loved the graphics and music was really fun.

nice entry

patuwu 2025-10-07 16:43

Wow! Super game, interesting idea, nice graphics it was really fun. Good job for 3 days

korzhik 2025-10-07 16:57

It's a really good game, I loved it. You have to collect ammo as fast as you can and shoot back at monsters. It's fast-paced, and there's a lot of fun in those moments when the monster is already at the door and you've forgotten which filler symbolizes which color (we've already run out of fillers in the starting location). Great concept and execution, great job!

tercs 2025-10-07 17:07

I downloaded the game but didn’t really understand how to play, so I paused to check the tutorial — then I saw a familiar name and got really surprised! Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to load a bullet into the gun, I tried a few different ways but it didn’t work. Still, the visuals are super cool!

UPD:

I figured it out, but the game could really use a tutorial on what to do at the beginning and what to do next — like step-by-step instructions on a little note or something.

arnazian 2025-10-07 18:03

The ammo loading room is really well designed and all the art is really good! Gameplay wise I was hoping the ammo would last for longer than 1 shot, and that it was a little clearer what the monsters were supposed to be

artalasky 2025-10-07 18:07

@korzhik Thanks so much for the feedback! Did you make it into the next room with the ammo?

I think we should add more colors to the fillers so the player can more easily remember which round they made (especially when making multiple bullets for future use).

@nicso Glad to hear it! I've already got a whole bunch of ideas for developing this game – different weapons, automation, small tasks (if the monsters are far away but the bullets are ready).

artalasky 2025-10-07 18:10

Shell - Powder - Tip (Гильза, порох, наконечник)

artalasky 2025-10-07 18:13

@arnazian Thanks for the feedback! You probably missed the storage room at the entrance with a ton of ammo :)

kayrum 2025-10-07 19:03

Very nice gun and slug models. Maybe the enemies could have looked more slimy. Well done!

bobo-games 2025-10-07 19:11

Took a second to understand(I didn't realize you could go into the storage room at first) but really fun once I got there, awesome job!

artalasky 2025-10-07 19:20

@kayrum Thanks! Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for enemy models with animations.

@bobo-games Thank you for the kind words! Were you able to try out the C4 and landmines?

maxiney 2025-10-07 20:50

OMG I've learned so much from this complex game rule setting. All in all, it's really amazing that one person can achieve this level of development! I even watched your videos on YouTube while learning pixel art. You're a versatile talent!

danicoredj 2025-10-07 20:59

i like guns

leo115 2025-10-07 23:10

I'd like to play this game but as it stands the process of loading is not at all intuitive, it's missing feedback and its frustrating which is a real shame as the game is gorgeous.

basic-eagles 2025-10-08 00:12

peak

ioshiodnanoshka 2025-10-08 04:54

the idea of the game is very good, but there's a lack of a tutorial in the game, as even after going to the comments and finding a tutorial there, I still couldn't do anything, and I don't really know why I couldn't ((

nolamosoft 2025-10-08 05:11

the idea here is extremely cool (I'm a gun nerd,) but there's very little feedback. Something to work on!

gonkindroid 2025-10-08 05:13

I really like the idea of the game. Its a bit rough around the edges but with some more polish this could be a really fun game!

poboy 2025-10-08 06:12

Gorgeous game and the soundtrack really adds to it. I really like that you have to shoot down the door of your own storeroom, and that the storeroom bullets themselves didn't have colors over them (so you had to memorize or check outside). The bear trap and mine are fun little additions. The animation on the shotgun feels excellent, very JUICY ANIMATION

lefinno 2025-10-08 06:47

the shooting seems really satisfying~ tho i do need to spend alot of time crafting each ammo, i know that's the main point of the game, but it would be fun to just, shoot whenever ~

doughseller 2025-10-08 07:25

Really well done!! looks amazing.

mrpaket 2025-10-08 07:43

Although I didn't immediately understand the procedure, I like the concept of crafting projectiles. If you add more dynamics, it will generally be played very vividly. I love the visual of games made with Blockbench, it adds some charm. Oh my God, there really is fog here!

6knowledge 2025-10-08 07:59

Clearly a lot of time went into the graphics and atmosphere but I think the gameplay could've used a bit more time in the oven. Even after figuring out each damage type only works on specific enemies by brute forcing it, the lack of any other feedback like sound of particles etc. made it feel a bit lacking.

artalasky 2025-10-08 09:09

@ioshiodnanoshka @leo115 But there's a tutorial in the game description on this page...and hints on the walls. And gifs :)

@nolamosoft I think there would have been a lot more feedback with the web build... there's always room for improvement in the game :)

@gonkindroid Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees potential in her.

taximan981 2025-10-08 09:18

Cool concept, when you figure out what ammo type kills what, it feels good that it clicks. Unfortunately the picking up was a bit buggy, and I couldn't get the ammo type I needed. Otherwise, very cool! Great work!

artalasky 2025-10-08 09:29

@poboy I'm so glad you enjoyed the game. The warehouse is like a second level, because remembering the colors makes it more challenging.

@lefinno In the future, I plan to add machines to automate the production of some ammo.

Because collecting ammo throughout the entire game can quickly get boring, and it needs to be broken up with other tasks. But that's not in the jam version :)

@6knowledge That's right, I didn't have enough time for enemies, animations, and effects, but the main thing is that the core of the game is ready :)

umc049 2025-10-08 09:53

At first, I didn't really understand the game's mechanics, so it was a bit difficult to play, but after getting familiar with them, it started to become easier. The full process of reloading bullets is truly creative (loading the powder, filling, chambering). The art style is quite good overall, except for the enemy designs (the enemies are too monotonous, mostly just cubes, although distinguishing bullet types through color is actually a clever design). In terms of sound effects, there is a lack of sounds for hitting enemies (or causing effective damage), which can be confusing when you don't understand the mechanics (you might wonder, 'Did I really hit the enemy?'). Personally, I think the game has significant development potential; if development continues, it could expand in multiple directions, such as enhancing resource management, introducing more special enemies, and adding more items.

gamesplusjames 2025-10-08 12:49

This was a really cool idea and I especially love the artstyle! I think it would be cool to see this expanded on more! Great job!

rogaro 2025-10-08 13:40

Good game! I really liked the visuals and sound design. I only understood the sequence of actions after reading the description. I felt it lacked some pace, but I like the idea, if the enemies are fully developed, I think the game could become much better

artalasky 2025-10-08 14:30

@gamesplusjames Thanks for the feedback! You can follow the game on my YouTube channel or Telegram (links are in the game description on this page).

@rogaro Yes, I'll work on the enemies a little later for the Steam version.

@umc049 Thanks for the detailed feedback. The enemies at this stage are just placeholders made of cubes. Development is already ongoing, and I have a whole bunch of cool ideas :)

edvard 2025-10-08 14:50

Wow, this is really cool, both the idea and the execution are awesome, respect to the team

artalasky 2025-10-08 15:08

@edvard Thanks! I made this game alone :)

woona 2025-10-08 15:45

Very cool game, I especially liked the 3D environment and models. It's very colorful, stylish and consistent.

As for the gameplay, it took me a while to figure out, I had to read the instructions on the web page, but it turned out to be pretty simple: just match bullet colors with slime colors and shoot them one by one.

I couldn't figure out how to win, but I killed a bunch of slimes and after there were no one left, stepped of the platform into the void. 😅

Overall, I think it's a good bullet crafting mechanic, it would be nice as a part of a bigger game. On its own, it gets a little bit repetitive going in loops crafting, shooting and crafting again.

artalasky 2025-10-08 16:13

@woona It looks like you missed the "How to Play" section a bit :)

The slimes dropped large pink balls, and you had to take them to the storage room and hang them on the wall.

Yes, you're right, this mechanic needs to be expanded.

Currently, there's C4, a landmine, and a bear trap, but in the future, there will be many more interesting features related to crafting and construction.

wakobu 2025-10-08 17:08

Interesting concept! The loading mechanic is quite confusing, especially the powder part because there is no feedback.

shram 2025-10-08 17:08

it's a really cool game, the best one I've played so far. Your pixel art style is very good. I wish you further development and improvement of the game

artalasky 2025-10-08 17:40

@shram Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to me.

nomus 2025-10-08 20:10

Pretty cool concept, I didn't get how to drop the gun and it got stuck in my hands, couldnt do anything

artalasky 2025-10-08 20:54

@nomus Hmm...if it didn't drop on F, there must have been a bug.

Since you can only hold one item, you won't be able to pick anything up while the gun is in your hands.

ciphereo 2025-10-09 04:56

I like the theme of this game. The visual effects are really great.

8212games 2025-10-09 14:46

qiqiqi 2025-10-10 10:34

I like shotgun and I like this game.

dumchevdev 2025-10-10 12:16

I absolutely loved the impact of the game, every interaction! Cool idea, excellent execution!

sceef 2025-10-10 17:47

It has a very cool visual style, and if you add speed to the game, you can make a retro video shooter. (Boomer shooter)

sceef 2025-10-10 17:47

Nice job

threeli 2025-10-10 23:28

Sorry I'm late to playing your project, today was the first day I could get back on the computer, but I'm here now so let's go!

There's an immense amount of work on display here and I really liked figuring it out. This visual theming and style is rad, and right up my alley. Bullet construction is great, everything seems to work well... this is just solid. Any plans to work on it and/or release it? What you've got so far is very satisfying, great work!

threeli 2025-10-10 23:30

I saw that you have a steam page for a different project, as well as your YouTube to follow dev, but do you have an itch as well?

artalasky 2025-10-11 00:38

@sceef I was originally thinking of making it a horror game, but the process turned out to be quite fun for that.

Now I'm considering which direction to take the project: a survival sandbox or a boomer shooter with tactile charging mechanics and physics.

@threeli I'm so glad you liked the game! By participating in Ludum Dare, I wanted to test interest in the game concept I had in mind.

And I got it. So, I'll definitely be working on it further.

I'm just starting to publish on Itch, so it's still almost empty. https://artalasky.itch.io/the-reload

threeli 2025-10-11 00:41

Followed you, I'll be excited to see where you take it!

archaeognathus 2025-10-11 09:56

Really cool concept and I love the artwork and vibe. Was very lost the first round, but after reading the tutorial here I managed to win. The bear trap seems a bit fiddely, an enemy just passed through it, but maybe I did not layed it centered enough. Great job, very impressive you did this all alone!

artalasky 2025-10-11 12:50

@archaeognathus Thanks for the kind words! It's a shame I missed the compo category because I started work on Sunday evening.

But I'll be releasing an update soon with more intuitive tutorials and feedback, as well as several new mechanics :)

xpoho 2025-10-12 14:13

xpoho 2025-10-12 14:37
