Quite an interesting game, although it gets boring after 10 minutes. Great idea!
never realized I'd love shooting pizza's at people from a tank rolling down the street... 10/10 would pizza tank again
+ I feel like the vertical orientation for the ingredients is not very intuitive, I think it would be better to have it in 2 rows, like in other games (because people might be used to it, and the keys line up unlike in horizontal where they are at an angle) + The ingredient bubble flashing was a little annoying (especially when it got to 3 of them), maybe you could make the bubble larger and fit all the required ingredients on it + Sometimes the mail boxes spawned right beside the person and was impossible to get them, you could detect these cases and destroy the mail box or move it slightly out of the way. + The gravity (vertical speed) you have applied to the people could be good on the pizza as well, as the people went down I missed my head shots and had to aim for their feet (which is not where the pizza goes).
@ashashza Unfortunatly there is no easy fix. This seems to be a longstanding issue with the python package (pyinstaller) that I use to convert the game to an exe. It packages my python environment with it. I read that some windows defenders react badly to this. So far I havn't found any alternative or solution for this problem. Running the source code should not be an issue, but that requires python and the required packages (pygame) to be installed, so I get that this is too annoying for people to try out a game :'(
@ellaris thank you for such an in-depth feedback! :) I already noticed when doing my final testing that the two columns for controls are a bit weird and that two rows would be better, but at that time I was already committed too much. I will probably update this for a future version.
@archaeognathus no sweat, thanks for responding.
Fun game! I wonder -- if you've coded this up with pygame, would it be possible to use pip to distribute the game as a pip package?
@avi Thanks! I'm not very familiar with the process of creating a python package, but to my knowledge this requires "official" authorization, appart from the packaging, and you still need to have python installed. This seems like a lot of effort for a game. If you already have python and pygame, you can also just run the source code  But I might be wrong!
No official authorization required for making pip packages, but yeah I see your point about the downloading src!
It was really fun to shoot pizza from a truck. I was a little confused with the controls at first, but they matched the placement in the game, so it was intuitive to operate. It was so much fun!

This was surprisingly challenging, but way more fun than a jam game about shooting pizzas from a tank has any right to be <3
@bluepir Thanks :D I think you are actually much better at it than I am ... I dont think I ever got such a high score xD
I'm having a blast playing your game. Keep up the great work!
Way funnier than expected, once you get the hang of it! Very original idea as well, amazing job!!
This game is one of the best I have seen so far. I ran it using wine and Ubuntu and couldn't find any bugs :D I like the humour as I can relate to this although I'm not Italian nor do I know anyone who is. The music fits perfectly  My highscore was 1550 after about 10 minutes of playing
Bit fast to begin with but I settled in quickly. Very entertaining game! I question the tastes of whoever orders a fish bone pigeon pizza but who am I to judge.
@kutase & @resacagames Thank you very much, happy to hear you liked it. Making this game had something therapeutic, as I have a professionally aquired aversion of wood pigeons. This gave me an outlet by beeing able to put them on pizza, while creating more issues because I had to look at many pictures to draw one xD
@igly Yay another Ubuntu user! Sorry for not having a dedicated linux version. I coded this on my windows PC and usually run everything from source on linux. I appreaciate your dedication of still giving it a try.Your highscore is very similar to where I also usually end up :D
@theg somehow your comment only popped up now for me. Happy to hear you were entertained by it. It's personally not a flavor I would enjoy myself, but some of the choiced of toppings were actually inspired by an image search for weird pizzas ;)
I liked the feel of the turret aiming.
Do the people want both the strawberry **and** the pretzel? maybe show both ingredients at once. Also maybe start off with just two ingredients, and each customer only wants one, then a customer wants both. **Then** introduce more ingredients. Ingredient selection is very confusing. Not sure of a better layout or control scheme, but this one doesn't work, imo.
@fruitflinger Thanks for the feedback, control scheme and progression can definitly be improved. @ellaris already suggested a row instead of a column layout, which I agree with. It was an experiment and by the time I could fully test it, I was already too committed to change it in time. But I might redesign the whole layout and put it sideways. Initially I also had some progression in mind, where ingredienta are introduced slowly, but this also fell victim to time. And yes, they want all the ingredients that pop up. The idea was that this should put stress on the player as you need to see and remember what they want. But yes, while this is easy with two ingredients at once, it gets super heard with more and I'll try some alternative ways to order :D
Neat idea, but the control mapping was extremely awkward - I would have liked to have been able to click on the ingredients, or see the key on the ingredient. I had to look down, mentally map the column, and then hit it, then look up and do the same for the second ingredient - by which point I probably missed the delivery.
A good idea, but man I really needed to get used to this controls and the timing is just a a bit to fast to have a proper start with the game. A bit slower and maybe a nicer layout of buttons, or if it is intended a game to learn keyboard typing really fast. Well made.
This will be our work after AI's rebellion.
Even I can't access your game because I'm on macOS, screenshot and game title are enough for me to give you 5s. There should be more crazy games like that on game jams, not general normie games!
A really cool concept for a game, the controls were a bit difficult to get used to though, and sometimes it feels like the pizza's hitbox is too small. More variety could also make this game a lot better, but overall its a solid entry.
Pew pew the pigeon pizza
