This is really well made - sound effects, graphics, and music are all perfect for this aesthetic, and picking up and moving rocks had a good 'weight' to it. Nice work!

Wow that's cool! Love the graphics and how cute it all is. Strong link's awakening vibes for me, which was my first top down game. Also the puzzles are an interesting concept, good job!
The character's rotation is very stiff and I didn't understand how to solve the puzzle. I'll try again a little later. It looks juicy and well made, anyway great job!)
great art and take on the puzzles!
Great entry.
Great consistent style. The animation is great for the tool/gun and it was fun to use. I'm impressed by the world design.
cute artworks. I like this retro-style puzzle game. Just curious what's the final purpose of this game? I feel the power is not enough to absorb all slimes. And I stuck on here.(I don't know how to get the upgrades below.) Snipaste_2025-10-07_19-56-24.png
had troubles at the beginning, but that's on me. The animation of the gun is well made. I'll coming back here to play some runs. Anyway GJ, Cya
absolute amazing! bravo, the range upgrades are so kool !
11.png Beautiful graphics and music. Reminds me of the good old Gameboy games :D great puzzle approach no annoying puzzles at all. One of the best entries I've played. Great job.
@justuspan the map is repeating in all 4 directions - you'll find a way from the other side to reach this
The purpose is to collect all slime, and gather the gems & power ups in order to improve the sucking-ability (making puzzles easier and cleaning up faster)
The art style is nice. I very like this game.
I love the graphics. So much charm to this game, and I had fun playing it. One of my favorites so far.
Got 2158 points!
Could not find any batteries, unfortunately.
Love seeing pico-8 represented. Seems like the most complete game of the bunch I saw so far. Great job putting everything together into a complete experience.
I'll have to give this a go again later when I have sufficient time to clear it. I enjoy the puzzle design and very much appreciate the range power ups particularly.
Speed ones were kinda meh though, if it came down to expending energy to clear a puzzle just for a speed upgrade, I would pass on the upgrade, LOL.
I did enjoy how the map was cohesive and the fact that tidying an area restored a bit of energy.

The steering is a bit inflexible; it would be better if I were a vacuum cleaner that turns quickly.🌈
Fantastic nostalgic music and graphics! It brings back those days when you came home from school, threw your backpack somewhere far away and sat down to play Nintendo. Good job!
Gotta love pico-8 <3 ofc an amazing game
I enjoyed the music! I felt a bit dumb when I finally realized that the rocks were actually puzzle pieces
Great entry!
Love the art, which game engine is this ? Is it directly from a pico8 ?
Very relaxing game, great audio/visual feedback too. Good puzzles that help broaden the players understanding of the mechanics. I like how the level design encourages players to explore with the more difficult puzzles needing some more experience in other areas. Great work :)
Loved the aesthetics and 8 pixels style. Music and atmosphere, how gorgeous and color palette, also the idea. 10/10!
@konbuscus yeah it's pico8 😁
Super impressive
I really love this kind of game — small in scale but incredibly fun. The pixel art style is absolutely perfect, and the gameplay is fantastic. Once I started playing, I just couldn’t stop.
I saw one of your development-posts earlier during the Jam.
Didn't take many milliseconds to notice where your sprites were [traced](https://vgmaps.de/maps/game-boy/legend-of-zelda-oracle-of-seasons.php) from :stuck_out_tongue:
The graphical elements could use a bit more derivation and/or variation from the source-material. For someone who's thoroughly scoured the Oracle-Zeldas, the overall experience feels almost like an asset flip.
This contributes to a certain jarring effect as well, since the mechanics from those games are missing. The character doesn't fall into holes and you can't enter the open doors of houses for example.
Probably if I wasn't so well familiar with the source material this fact wouldn't bother as much, though. So don't mind my sour nitpicking too much!
@dis0rder thank you for that honest feedback! You're absolutely right, I made the assets with a strong inspiration from the Zelda GBC series (on purpose - for that sweet sense of familiarity) - things like falling into holes and entering houses, or even monsters & npcs were simply not within the time scope unfortunately :see_no_evil:
Impressive entry! I went for the cut pixel art and overall great aesthetics, but I stayed for the level design and the clever puzzle design (cool Sokobanesque feeling) . Music can get a bit repetitive over time but that's just a minor caveat, that's clearly one of the best entries I rated so far
Got 1409 before i perished! Pretty sweet game though, it feels like it has a ton of depth that i didnt even scratch the surface. Managed to get a handful of powerups. All around nice art and gameplay! Great entry
Love the graphics! Very interesting puzzle game, I can see myself getting lost in this one trying to solve everything. Nice work!
Played with my 5 year old. He wanted to do multiple runs. We really liked the game, mechanics, esthetics and vibe overall!
Very very cute artstyle and impressive scale of the world! Seems it would take at least 1-2 hours to clear everything. Love the clever moving block puzzles. The music/sounds are awesome!
Clearly, a huge amount of work has been done - there are lots of screens to explore. It reminded me of 8-bit The Legend of Zelda. Overall, it really captures the 8‑bit vibe, with cool animation. I was a bit lazy to collect all the bubbles on a screen, an ability that would collect them much faster would be very satisfying with this animation. Maybe such an ability exists and I just didn’t find it  Good game!
Thanks @diralf - yes, if you find & collect the upgrades, you will indeed make bubble-collecting much more fun & efficient haha
What a fantastic nice and well designed game :two_hearts: Arts are insanely beautiful and pretty  There is just some little collision problem when you're not well aligned with the tiles you want to go, but it may be a pico-8 limitation ? idk Very good job btw
Amazing game! Cant believe it was made in such a short timeframe
Woah the map seemed huge! And the game is very well polished, congrats on the great entry!
The game is awesome!
Capture d’écran 2025-10-10 à 11.40.15.png I did it ! great game, good puzzles. I love the fact that some puzzle are not finishable early game because you need more power. Will you share your code ?
Wow, so cool. Such a nice style and a surprisingly large game, for such a short times :o Learned about pico8 two jams ago and also experimented a bit with it myself and got a small handheld to play. Will you release the p8 at some point? Would love to continue playing on my device. Can see myself getting lost in it. Great job :)
Really amazing entry and so much of it! Adored the art, great sound and was surprised with the puzzle mechanics to reach upgrades. Will need to come back to play some more. Here's to sucking!
@archaeognathus Thank you :) Yes, we'll release it soon after some small polishing and let you guys know here
Really cool retro vibe with great pixel art and music! Levels and puzzles are fun, and the weapon animation is a nice touch. Overall it’s engaging and well put together.
Wow you really make a super solid game in such a short time. Love the sucking puzzles :) Great job.
super sucker is super cool, super beautiful graphics and good vibes of collection addict...great job like always !
This was such a well done, complete game. The graphics and audio are amazing. I love the animations when transitioning to a new area. I love that different areas have different color pallets. Seems like a great example of doing a few things really well vs a bunch of things poorly. Simple concept that was very satisfying to play.
this game is so vast ! clever puzzles, visually outstanding, great retro audio ! it was a blast to clean this slimy Koholint Island !
Fun game! The map is acctually pretty big for a gamejam game. I suck at these games however, so some things I did not understand. For instance: why does it look like I can suck up the rocks just before the sucker gives up? Do I need an upgrade for that? And do the symbols on the rocks mean anything? Looked to me that the symbols indicate direction? I didn't complete it sadly, but I had fun!
The graphics are very bright, it gives the game an identity I think. The background music and sounds are top notch 👌🏻
Thanks @wouter52  I confess that some things should be more intuitive. The symbols on the rocks are arrows, meaning some rocks can be moved horizontally, some vertically, and some in all directions. And for the "giving up" mechanic, it's like this: The sucker prefers slime, but if there is no slime to suck, it will suck the nearest possible rock, and not suck in other things.. hope that clarifies a bit!
OMG, such a great game! 💨
I am biased towards PICO-8 games, but damn, this is jus so well made... The tune is superb, the graphics are awesome, the gameplay and everything feels so complete... It's just incredible, and all of this on the tiny PICO-8, and done in such short amount of time... I just love it.
Thanks, and what a great entry! Congrats!
This game is so freaking good!! I had to stop myself from playing good, but clearing a section and getting a new upgrade is so satisfying!
Once this releases I am definately putting this on all my handhelds! (Miyoo Mini and Steam Deck)
WOW. This is so cool! I love the look and feel. I played with a controller and it felt so nice. Such classic vibes.
My sucker really sucked at first. :joy:
Such an interesting take on a puzzle game... sort of more open, but solving puzzles around the map to get upgrades.
I read this part AFTER I played: ""Every run is different! You’ll spawn randomly, and the upgrades are also randomized "" <----- WHAT???? This is random generated. Holy crap. :open_mouth:
I can't believe how much you crammed into a weekend jam. This was insanely IMPRESSIVE! :scream: :fire: :raised_hands: Fantastic job.
изображение_2025-10-14_155915132.png
The best game I played so far, my friend!
Haha, I found out that I can receive "tidy" in a room just after 20 minutes of playing xD
And art style, I so love this pico pixelart style! Thank you!
Fun game, I struggled with the block puzzles a little  I was trying to swing the blocks around corners .
The art was great as ever, loved the animations of the guy and his hoover-pack. The autist in me craves a reticule when sucking up the slime to see the targeted area. I could never quite satisfactorily line up my guy with the slime chunk to not leave a few splots remaining that evade the vacuum head.

Wow, I would not have thought this was a game jam game unless I had known it. Feels so big, and there's so much to do. Great job!
This is such a vibe! nice graphics, nice audio, just a nice game!
Great entry! I love the colors and the Zelda-style graphics. The map is quite large and there is a lot to do. Feels very complete.
Very impressive! Was drawn by the retro graphics and was hooked on clearing the whole map. Amazing work on the level design as well, I really enjoyed the exploration for collectables and short puzzles to get past.
The only issue that bothered me was because of the large map, the character felt way too slow, even with upgrades.
I liked that you can move the rocks with the sucker. Overall, it’s a cool game, but I haven’t found where to increase the battery yet — need to play again.
Great entry! I really enjoyed the puzzles, overall vibe, and visuals. It was fun to play, although the world seemed a bit too large, which made the gameplay somewhat repetitive. Bonus points for utilising PICO-8 and providing a playable build on the game page.

This sucked ;)
I missed 1 gem as far as i know
controls felt nice and tight, the graphics are great, the audio fits just right, upgrades were satisfying- high scores all around
If I had to give any real criticism the only things I might say are that in 1 or 2 areas the room reset tile was a bit awkwardly placed so i accidentally triggered it whilst I was focussing on moving a block around ( which i found let you keep the block you're currently sucking on :o ,) and that given the size of the game, it turns out i had left 1 little globule of slime near the begining before I had started to get it into my head to tidy each area fully as i was in it, and so was roaming around at 99% looking for it for a little while.
Really great job with this one, probably my favourite so far :)
Great entry~
I love me some Pico 8! Hold up guys, this is one of the better entries! They clearly understood the theme! I like the art style, reminds me of Links Awakening. The music is really cheering and fitting and the controls and gameplay are so comfy!
Insane how much you guys got done in such a short time frame, while maintaining solid polish, sound design and gameplay
image-2.png
this is very impressive for a ludum dare entry! The map is unbelievably big, i'm amazed at the scale of the game! the art and animations are very good, it's very pleasing to look at. i really liked exploring, but i do wish there was more to do mechanically or at least that your base movement speed was a bit faster. otherwise i think the idea is nice and it plays well. great work!
I could notScreenshot 2025-10-20 120030.pngstop playing.
Great game, loved the graphics, very well polished! Maybe it's just me, but could it be that sometimes puzzles cannot be solved?
I absolutely loved it!
I already really like Pico8 games. And when they're this well-made, I love them even more!
Is the code available somewhere? I'm learning to program in Pico8 and would love to study it.
Congratulations!

Really nice and chill game! It feels great to play. The small puzzles are fun. Well done, congrats!
The Gameboy/Zelda visual style makes this game concept appealing.
The trees remind me so much of the MANY hours I spent playing Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES back in the day. Music and graphics were on point! Amazing job!
@euler-moises I'll be working on making the cartridge ready for a release outside Ludum Dare soon™, you can take a peek at everything then. I have to warn you in advance, though: it's all jam code. Little comments (if any at all) and much of it is very terrible ;)
I've been looking forward to playing this one ever since I first saw you post about it, and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I love PICO-8 games, and this is one of the best I've played in a long time. The fact that it only took you 3 days is incredible. The graphics, sound effects, music, and overall vibe are just fantastic. Unfortunately I either wasn't very efficient with my sucking or wasn't good enough at finding upgrades, as I ran out of energy with a score of just 1767. I'll have to try again sometime, or perhaps wait for the post-jam version.
Fantastic job! I'm sure this'll rate highly in the jam.
Congratz on the great results!
@archaeognathus @euler-moises The cartridge is now available on the Lexaloffle BBS, or alternatively also from itch. Links are in the "links" section above :)
@Ennea Nice, thank you very much!
