Brilliant theme interpretation and great art style. I really enjoyed it.

Brilliant theme interpretation and great art style. I really enjoyed it.
I played it on desktop, and I think being able to use a and d instead of just the left and right arrows would have given it a better flow, since I wouldn't have to move my hand to press space when I fail. Also per pixel lighting instead of per vertex would have made it look alot better. Other than that I think it's a fun game, and I really like the mood you've got going on. Well done!
Incredible graphics and fun concept. Well done!
Wow! This is a winner for sure. Love it!
It's a bit hard to control, but other than that, I think it's a great experience. With the graphics and the music both being this good, it's easy to get lost in the world and just enjoy the mood of it all.
Really like the graphics and concept. Could be a really interesting game with more gameplay.
For a 5 hour game, this is great. Simple idea and very fun to play.
I really like games that tell stories like this. The art style, music and slow paced gameplay comes toghether and creates an incredible mood. This is one of my favorites.
Great interpretation of the theme, solid gameplay, and really cool pixel graphics. Good job!
Beautiful graphics and fun and simple gameplay. I was a bit suprised to see how hard it got after a while. Great game!
Nice graphics and mood! I didn't know what was going on all the time, but I finished it on my first try. Cool game overall!
This is one of the best two button games I've ever played.
A bit too hard in my opinion, but great graphics and music. A very well made game overall!
Sick! :)
I liked this more than I thought I would. The Power Buff Girl was a bit overpowered in my opinion, but all in all great gameplay!
Once in a while it started lagging quite a bit. Other than that, cool idea and good looking assets. Good job!
I really like the mood and sound. It's funny how the fish spins forward after running in to something. Good job!
Simple and fun. I enjoyed it!
I really like the mood. And trying to grill with the physics in the game easily becomes hilarious. Good job!
Cool and unique idea! It's fun to play, but hard beat. Great job!
I really enjoyed it. Nice graphics and great story!
Frustrating but fun. I like the graphics!
KadaDev and siryakko: There is a score counter, but it didn't show in the small frame above. I increased the size of the frame so it's visible now.
Everyone: Thanks for all the nice comments! :)
Took me a while to understand that I had more than one tool, even if it said so in the corner. A bit of response that your tool is working when you use it would have made alot of difference. I felt like I finsished the game right as I started understanding it. I think it's a really cool idea, which you could easily make longer by adding things you can buy in the store that make you able to gather other types of materials. It's cool that you came so far in two days. Good job!
I gathered alot of wood and stone and ended up the richest man in the village with super human strength and speed.
Fantastic game! Very well made and polished. I wouldn't have guessed it was only made in the short time if I didn't know it. Really like that you included voice acting. I had alot of fun playing it. The best game I've played this ludum dare so far!
Sometimes the rotation didn't work when I released the globe. I realised after a while that it was because of collisions with the player. That could have been clearer. I also think the movement would have felt smoother if she kept the same distance to the glass at all times, as it made it quite difficult to rotate the globe and walk her to the items sometimes.
Other that that, the graphics are amazing, and the music is really nice and comfortable, which makes for a great mood in the game. Good job!
@for-science Thanks for the feedback! Smoothing the camera movement a bit could be a good idea. I'll keep it in mind if I make a post-jam version.
@chloravirgo Thanks for the feedback!
@hadik Yeah, that would definitely make the game better. There is health, and it's not regenerating, I just didn't get the time to make a gui, so I didn't have any way to show it.
@zeriver Thanks! I was planning on having alot of story in the game, but since it was quite ambitious for a three day project, the time ended before I could get around to it.
Thanks for all the nice comments! :)
One thing I thought of is that you could shorten the spawn time after having pushed every slime off so you don't have to wait so long for the next one. Other than that, simple and fun game. Very well made. I really like his comments when you grab the powerups. Good job!
Cool idea! With a little more to do in the game, this could be great.
Cool game! I like the concept. It was hard not to offend people. :)
It's cool that you used the actual time to detemine where the planet is. Had to play it a few times to get things right. I really enjoyed it. Good job!
The camera got a bit spasmic at the poles. Other than that, a really nice game. I had fun. Good job! :)
Cool and original puzzle game. I really like the graphics! :)
Thank you so much for the comment Shodanon!
@plasticsword Thanks! I was thinking some kind of action adventure game with a lot of exploration. A combat system where you could headbutt the enemies and you had to roll out of the way when they attack you. Abilities you could unlock to get further in the levels. Water you could swim in faster than you can walk on land. Very over ambitious, I know, but I had a lot of thoughts that I really liked. ^^
@winter2277 Thank you! The cave is made out of two meshes. I made base shapes in blender, and then brought them in to Substance Designer where I created procedural textures, and displacement maps that I applied to a heavily subdivided version of the base mesh. The meshes uses an insane amount of polygons, but nanite just handles it and makes it run smoothly. Quite incredible what they've achieved with nanite really! The ground meshes are scattered on a landscape using the PCG (procedural content generation) system. The wall meshes I placed by hand in the editor. The seal was sculpted in ZBrush, textured in Substance Designer and rigged and animated in Blender.
@bombelix Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed it! That was actually what I was aiming for. Scary and cute. :D
Got quite a few jump scares! Was challenging to get them all but I managed eventually. Got stuck in the pillow before I could get to the door though. I like the N64 esthetics and the music made the overall mood really creepy in a good way.
Wow, suprisingly difficult in the beginning, but it's fun that you learn what to do where and become faster and better at it. I think it's a very cute idea with tiny creatures going about their working days. Good job! ^^
Really fun to add creatures and see how they interact with everything and have them fight each other. I really like the idea. With some more creatures, progression and things to do, this could turn in to a great game. ^^
I really like the mood and darkness in this game! I was surprised when I started burning people. Great job!
Unique idea and fun game! The driving mechanics felt really good. ^^
Really cool idea for a racing game. I thought it was really fun and very well thought out. I really like that you had the line to see where you were going so you didn't need to get lost. Nice that you managed to get four levels in for a game jam game. It feels very complete. Good job! ^^
Wow, great game! Love the film noir vibes. Really good music and nice graphics. Surprisingly long and well made for a game jam game.
Really nice mood and atmosphere. I like that you just arrive and you don't really know what's going on in the beginning. A good mystery! It took me a long time to see the spiders so first I just thought I died randomly. A bit more variety in the gameplay wouldn't hurt, but overall I really enjoyed it!
Really impressed by the music. It goes together well with the graphics and creates a really cool atmosphere. I wish there were more ways of shaking off the creatures when they've attached to you, because it sometimes took me a long time to get to the next bottle. Other than that I think it feels really polished and well made. It felt really good to play through.
Great game! Ended up playing way longer than I was planning to. :D
Very impressive! The mood and feeling is fantastic. It feels like something very unique. I had a great time playing it.
Super cute! ^^
Nice game! I finished it a couple of times trying out strategies with different slimes. If you added waves with increasing difficulty and a way of earning more points so you could place more slimes I could see myself playing this for a long time. ^^
It's inspiring to play such a well made game jam game! It feels very polished with the intro animation, the audio and the graphics. It's challenging in the right way and a unique idea. I had a lot of fun carrying my team around. ^^
Love the idea! Was fun to switch between different creatures with different abilities. I also liked the level design!
@mshrmgirl Haha, oh no! I put in a collision so you shouldn't be able to jump out of the boat, but I guess it doesn't work 100% 😅
@sayurinyooko If they see you they'll catch you. The trick is to sneak and not be seen. You can only see them when you're focusing, so you need to focus to see where they are and where they're going to avoid them. But you can't run when you're focusing so you have to balance it.
@leo115 Thanks for the feedback! 😊
Incredible! I love the mood and story. The use of voices and needing to pick up the phonetics is a wonderful idea. One of the best games I've played in this game jam. Also appreciate the Mac build so I could play it on my laptop.
Wow, this is great! Well balanced gameplay, great graphics and sound, and I really like the mood. It was easy to figure out what I was going to do and great progression with the upgrades. Great job!
I really like that you have to think about the oxygen hose at the same time as taking the pictures. Really sets the mood of being in the place and doing work. The mood is great, and it feels mysterious and interesting to explore and look for fish. Really like the ending too. Great job!
I like the progression with getting better and better drills to be able to drill other types of tiles. It was also very clearly shown so I could easily understand why I could drill some tiles but not others. The battle system could have felt better if it was more responsive so I could see better when I take damage from the enemies, and I'm guessing the plan was for the enemies to take different amount of damage from the attacks depending on how close you got to the square in the sequence after which would have been fun, but I saw it took the damage before that. I like how fast you can move around. That made it feel good and responsive. It became a fun challenge trying to find Rumple the salesman in the different levels. Overall, good job! I had fun. ^^
I really like the feeling of exploring the caves. It has a nice atmosphere and always keeps you guessing what you're going to find. I had a good time even when I went the wrong ways. And eventually I found the golden fish. ^^
I think it's nice that you start on the boat and dive down deep in the water. The boss was a bit overpowered though, and it felt a bit too punishing to get back to the start of the game. But I played through it again and managed to complete it. ^^ Good job with the game!
Abolutely loved the narrative and voice acting. The mood is fantastic!
The movement feels wonderful and I love the mood of it. Feels like a world I could spend a long time in if it's expanded upon.
Wow, really unique gameplay. This is amazing!
Nice level design and progression. I liked that a lot of things were happening all the time and that there was a story to follow. Kept it interesting until the end.
I really like the character models and how it feels when you jump. It was a bit confusing though. Think I played it four times before I figured out how to get through the level, but I managed to finish the game in the end. You've got a lot of good things going and if you would introduce the abilities in the game with simple puzzles that tell you how to use them I think it has the potential of becoming a great platformer.
Nice light effects! I liked the dialogs with the ghosts at the end of the levels. Sometimes they ran in to me when I was at the end of a hallway and couldn't avoid them, which felt a bit unfair after shining the light on them, so that's my only complaint. Overall I liked the mood and that it got increasingly scarier for every level. Nice game!
Wow, great game! Kept on playing for a long time. It was hard to stop. Great progression with all the upgrades and it just felt fun walking around looking for things in the sand. Chill vibes! ^^
Hahaha, that was an experience! The voice acting adds so much personality. Great humor! And really good job with the graphics. Great game!
Wow, I would not have thought this was a game jam game unless I had known it. Feels so big, and there's so much to do. Great job!
I like the graphics and animations. Also that you can meow by pressing a button felt adorable! ^^
Love the mood! It's dark in all the right ways.
Nice game! Feels original and fun. Took a while to get through but I made it. It was a pleasure to play. :)
Good idea and fun game! :)
Even though the controls felt a bit buggy sometimes and I didn't always know if I'd managed to pick up the species I tried to pick up, the game had a very nice meditative mood to it and made me feel very relaxed. Nice experience!
The graphics made me feel nostalgic. It felt harmonious to walk around looking for mushrooms. It was a pleasant experience overall. Nice game! ^^
The story telling was really well made. Great music and nice graphics. It all comes together and creates a really cool mood. I really enjoyed it!
Fun concept! Got quite hard at the end and took some time, but I beat it eventually. ^^
Really like the mood and atmosphere! Has a lot of potential if you add the gameplay. Nice job with what you achieved!
Good concept! Felt comfortable customizing the doll and the graphics are really nice.
