I really enjoyed flying around in the space ship! The astroid belt was well done and you filled in the solar system too. I like that you hid the objects to collect on the planets but it felt like sometimes it wasn't collecting them when i was holding space.

I also enjoyed getting sunburnt! Great entry. (also love 3d in a game jam)

alpaca-041 2025-10-06 21:08

Interesting game! Too pity that these breads are too hard to catch.

ciph3rzer0 2025-10-07 00:53

Controlling the ship was hard, sensitivity was too high (need a setting), and I couldn't collect all the shapes even when they were in the cone. But it's a good concept.

nno1 2025-10-07 02:51

I love the sensation of traveling through the universe!!

space8 2025-10-07 08:33

I want to collect all the aliens but sometimes they don't wanna get abducted. The sounds of the engine sparkles in my ears when I launch to the next planet. Pretty cool concept but difficult for me to play.

katastudios 2025-10-07 19:13

Love the concept! I also need a sensitivity slider lol, is there any downside to just leaving the tractor beam on at all times? Not sure why sometimes the little guys don't wanna get abducted. I found myself going up more than expected?

baluj 2025-10-07 19:34

@ckane144 , @alpaca-041 , @nno1 . Thanks for your comments.

baluj 2025-10-07 19:35

@ciph3rzer0 , @space8 , @katastudios . Thanks for your comments. I forgot to mention on the controls screen that Tab opens the pause menu, where you can change the sensitivity.

katastudios 2025-10-07 19:59

Ah awesome!

preef 2025-10-07 20:12

great vibes, i tried to abduct the sun, I was punished

lastuck 2025-10-07 20:13

Chill game, i liked the mood! Some species were very hard to catch though, sometimes I wasn't sure if it was bugged or not

larryv 2025-10-07 20:14

Nice! I think you capture the scale of the universe in the game lmao. The target are ants sized XD.

baluj 2025-10-07 20:18

@lastuck Some species are faster than others and can even escape the abductor.

baluj 2025-10-07 20:19

@preef @larryv Thanks for your comments.

torte478 2025-10-07 20:19

The hyperdrive goes brrrrrr

I adore space games, and this one is no exception. Very pleasant graphics and a great solar system model. I also loved the optional but nice details, like dying from flying into the sun or going out of bounds.

breadstick 2025-10-07 20:23

This is such a fun and unique concept for a collect-a-thon! I'd love to see a version of this game more fully fleshed out... like a little alien-abduction version of No Man's Sky. Very calming vibes, flying around the galaxy and stealing little guys.

Those people living on the tiny moon of one of the planets were tricky to find (and alas, once I wondered if there might be tiny fellas living on the sun, too, I instead discovered my ship is not entirely fireproof... Outer Wilds flashbacks there)

baluj 2025-10-07 20:23

@torte478 Thanks for commenting. I just thought about what I would do, and going to the sun or trying to go to another solar system was exactly what I would do.

baluj 2025-10-07 20:35

@breadstick Thanks for the comment. Due to time constraints, I haven't been able to incorporate several things that were halfway done. For example, I had to remove the comets at the last minute because they wouldn't disappear after impacting a planet, leaving the planet looking like it was smoking. When the voting period is over (and I know this will take some time), I want to try expanding the game from a solar system to a galaxy and add more outer space elements.

artificer 2025-10-07 23:49

Took me flying into the sun (unrelated) to realize I needed to hit the people with my ship to abduct them. I thought at first the circle was the hitbox, then I thought that I needed to aim and keep them in the circle. I really like flying mechanic and the hyperdrive really FEELS like a hyperdrive. Very fun play and nice work with the planet gravity and solar system!

baluj 2025-10-08 00:31

@artificer thanks for your time, glad you like it

gaverion 2025-10-08 03:37

Flying around was pretty fun! It was a bit hard to tell if the absorption was working. Overall great job!

rabbitdit 2025-10-08 03:38

Such impressive exploring experience! I rushed to the sun at the first time and soon got burned :D

archimagus 2025-10-08 03:41

Flying around the system feels great, with the hyper drive. Trying to collect the critters feels a lot harder than it should be. Also navigating around the planets it pretty tough, it would be nice if there was some better controls for orbiting. But other than those couple things it's a pretty neat game. Nice job.

theoratkin 2025-10-08 03:51

Absolutely charming space game! Reminded me quite a bit of Outer Wilds (arguably my favorite game ever)! It's really cool that you made an actual solar system simulation! It's a bit challenging to fly on the planets, since the ship isn't affected by their gravity, but understandable given the limited jam time. I had fun flying around abducting little shape guys. Thanks for making this! Would love to see a full version of this game.

akuta-zehy 2025-10-08 06:49

Got confused at the very beginning but when I saw the spicies I know what to do next.

The dark lighting, volume contrast and music/sfx give it a very strong mood, a simple but effective approach. Nice entry!

baluj 2025-10-08 11:37

@gaverion @rabbitdit @archimagus @theoratkin @akuta-zehy thanks for your time. When the voting period is over, I'll update it, improving the orbiting around planets and the abduction of species. Later, I want to expand the scale of the game from a solar system to a galaxy.

theothervc 2025-10-08 15:14

Nice Game! Its a bit basic but a cool concept. I was a bit confused on where to go at the beginning but afterwards it was pretty fun!

sergs-workshop 2025-10-08 15:19

I’d really love to check out the post jam version — with more space, collectibles, and visual effects. The current version is already so chill and full of good vibes, keep going!

cptdrusha 2025-10-08 15:23

I feel like I want it in AAA-game now :D Very interesting mechanics, it reminds me SPORE :)

alex-mulkerrin 2025-10-08 16:11

I liked the mood you conjured up with the starry sky and meditative music. The abduction put me in mind of the space stage of Spore. It was fun exploring the solar system and hoovering up everything that lived there. I feel silly for trying to land on the great big yellow planet though :P

mnemosynevl 2025-10-08 17:25

It would be nice if there was some kind of mechanic around the abductor. Currently, I just turn it on once and then I "hug" the planets sucking everything alive. Maybe the abductor could activate temporarily capturing everything in it's area of effect. Apart from that it's very good. Original and fresh take on the theme and the mood is so pleasant. Somehow, simple minimalistic models added charm to the game. Great job!

baluj 2025-10-08 17:39

@theothervc @sergs-workshop @cptdrusha @alex-mulkerrin @mnemosynevl I'm glad you like it.

@mnemosynevl I was thinking of having one or two protected species on each planet, so that between the missions there was one about protected species, something like, "While you have that mission, you can't abduct a certain species." But since I haven't had time to include the missions, these types of missions that limit the use of the abductor have not been implemented.

maria-sh 2025-10-08 17:50

I had a pretty hard time figuring out where these species I needed to find were, and even when I figured out what they were, I couldn't find the last one. BUT! The sound design and overall atmosphere were everything! I just got lost among all these stars and planets and found absolute peace and calm. That was great

baluj 2025-10-08 18:00

@maria-sh I’m glad you like it. Almost all species are on at least two planets. If you didn't find it, it was either because it was one of those species that only exist on one planet, or you had very bad luck with the species generation.

hajpappan 2025-10-08 19:23

Fun game! A little bit hard to control at first, but really liked the atmosphere. Good job!

bacontree 2025-10-08 22:39

Even though the controls felt a bit buggy sometimes and I didn't always know if I'd managed to pick up the species I tried to pick up, the game had a very nice meditative mood to it and made me feel very relaxed. Nice experience!

baluj 2025-10-08 22:52

@hajpappan @bacontree thanks for your time. I'm preparing a post-jam update that will improve the controls and abduction of species.

ludumdaredevil 2025-10-09 00:58

The spaceship is kind of annoying to control but I still had fun playing it.

pres2300 2025-10-09 03:39

Like others have pointed out, the ship was a bit hard to control and it was difficult to collect some species. I still enjoyed exploring around in space, though. Impressive that you were able to make that during a game jam. Nice work!

pincushion 2025-10-09 11:14

Enjoyed exploring the planets. Nice planet implementation with the atmosphere and species that show up when you get close. Tested out the star. It's hot.

ellaris 2025-10-09 11:34

Cool game, I think I saw the species sucked to the ship once, which was nice, but then I just collided with the planets to get closer to them since there was no penalty for it and it was hard to get the otherwise, having the abductor activated also seemed to have no negative consequences, so there was no the reason to have it off.

nassshie 2025-10-09 13:01

it is giving "Interstellar" the movie. so glad to play something like that!

ciphereo 2025-10-09 13:08

Very interesting! I enjoy flying around in the universe.

dumchevdev 2025-10-10 13:22

I really liked the implementation of your idea, well done!

6knowledge 2025-10-10 15:39

The collection mechanic was a bit confusing as it felt like the ray wouldn't capture anything and the ship had to be rammed into the planet for the objects to register. Besides that I was surprised that there were moving asteroid belts, gravity and other small features jam games of this calibre wouldn't have. Atmosphere was quite well done but probably could've used some background music to fill the void.

kevin-garske 2025-10-10 18:42

Was quite impressed with the physics you implemented here. Hyperdrive was great fun. Would play again

jacky-san 2025-10-10 19:21

Nice !

threeli 2025-10-11 00:46

Sorry I'm late to playing your project, today was the first day I could get back on the computer, but I'm here now so let's go!

Clearly a ton of work went into this. Not to rehash, but as a few others have said here, the ship controls a little awkwardly. Having said that, it didn't really get in the way of my fun exploration. The first thing I accomplished was getting a sunburn, and I knew I liked it. Tons of little details I enjoyed. Also, I liked the track you chose here, and the visuals work in a charming way, overall great work!

bassilij 2025-10-11 07:03

This is a delightful meditative experience)
