LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Little Life by ratly 2024-10-07T23:32:11Z

Not great at puzzle games, though I wish there was some form of tutorial that slowly explains the game rules, since I didn't manage to absorb the instructions!

My initial impression is that it's a fun concept and I believe there was some form of pattern recognition involved? Curious to know how many levels are present in the game!

The Last Swarm Warden by pickens-inc 2024-10-11T08:12:46Z

I think the mood, audio and setting are fantastic, though perhaps it might have been better if the voice over sequences were a bit shorter and spread out more, cause sometimes they felt somewhat long. Couldn't complete the game as I got softlocked by a bug, though I did enjoy the parts I manage to play! :)

Silk & Snare by MartensCedric 2024-10-11T10:04:04Z

Great idea, really loved the web building mechanic and the way you can repair it, though at a point the game bugged out after my web 'collapsed'. I really thought the camera position was cool, really helped to push that spider perspective! :)

Slime Store Simulator 2024 by gamesplusjames 2024-10-09T00:02:52Z

Took me a while to get a hang of this game, though I enjoyed taking the first few steps to my very own slime empire >:).

Tiny protector by RickSquanchez 2024-10-08T23:55:45Z

I enjoyed the visuals, though I wish there was more to the game, something like tactical decisions? At this point it's more about clicking as fast as possible, so it wasn't very intrigueing.

Survive The Night by Dan Davis 2024-10-11T10:10:59Z

Visually this has been by far my favourite game so far, I really love the lightning, parallex effect, dark/campy 90s horror theme! I imagine the creatures lack detail/animation because of time, and it's reasonable for a 3 day game jam! I wish the combat and gameplay was a bit more varied and satisfying though!

Tiny World Mayhem by Transkuja 2024-10-11T10:14:48Z

Damn for 3 days, this game feels super polished, really impressed with what you managed to get done! I found it amusing how the visuals clashed with what you're doing, in a cutesy horror type of way!

Rat Dead Redemption by GreenPig 2024-10-07T22:58:10Z

I really enjoyed the sound design and visuals, though I found the combat to be somewhat confusing. Should I be running past the rats or actually trying to fight each one I come across? :) Either way, great effort, and again gj on the atmosphere!

Squirrel Mail by Boudichon 2024-10-08T23:52:22Z

My favourite game so far in this game jam! Really cool mechanic and you've designed some really interesting levels. I really liked the importance of the environment to progress, and it's an awesome job for 3 days of work!

Critter Cannon by Stefan B. 2024-10-07T23:39:38Z

Loved the voice acting and the general mechanics. I felt the camera movement was a bit wonky at times, since it didn't feel smooth or very responsive. Apart from that, it's a fun concept and I really enjoyed trying your game out! :)

Nano Commando by ferelily 2024-10-08T23:44:17Z

Didn't quite understand the gameloop. Am I meant to pick up other pieces, why are there other robots floating around? Maybe you could add some more instructions to explain it? Other than that, I liked the visuals and audio design! :)

Eat the Moon by orangeoceans 2024-10-09T10:39:39Z

Cool game, I enjoyed the gameloop though I'd have preferred if it was a bit shorter in between stages, or if there was a bit more automation. There was also a few bugs I came across that froze the game, such as in the exterminator sequence.

Great physics, and I looked the peaceful vibe of the game. Relaxing yet addictive!

Quackling Rescue by Laywelin 2024-10-07T23:22:15Z

As a duck fan, I couldn't help but love this game! Great sound and art design, and I think it's a really cute and quacky direction to build on! :)

The way to the eggs by Gaudy 2024-10-07T23:04:36Z

I really enjoyed the mechanics, seems like some really cool gameplay could be built around it. Would be nice if the insects/worm change direction when moving backwards, since it should be an easy change that would make the game flow alot better :)
