very cute drawing style, i like it

bacontree 2025-04-08 10:01

Feels fun and relaxing to just dig around and see what you find. ^^

Very fun game. Brought me back to mining in the great underground in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. I'd say the one block treasures are bad for the game though. It turn the game into more of a gamble. If you'd continue, try to capitalise on the different types of blocks so finding a big treasure is fun, but would still require strategy to dig up

Very cute digger cat. I made it to level 7. I didnt completely understand was the ice blocks were doing, but i quite enjoyed the game.

THe game is really well made for a game jam game. I played for about 5 minutes. Its really fun once you start getting the cool upgrades and everything blows up.

This was amazing, was actually pretty sad when i got to the end wish there was more ahaha, very well made!

soleyeer 2025-04-08 12:17

Reminds me of Digseum in a positive way. Fun, simple, adorable ending, nice art and sound design

kiberptah 2025-04-08 15:09

Fun, replayable and nicely polished, good game.

jackshadow 2025-04-08 15:23

@soleyeer – Actually, that game inspired the core mechanics! I really like Digseum too. My idea was to make digging feel a bit more risky. In Digseum, after level 3 meta upgrades, the digging part loses its challenge.

@jhonny111 – Thanks for the feedback! Actually, those are water blocks — unlike sand blocks that just fall straight down, water blocks can fall "diagonally". And my favorite, the chaos block, swaps places with a random block.

And thanks everyone for every other comment.

Yay, I won! First try thanks to the hints you gave on the page ;) I love this type of minigame, so it was fun to play a new take on it. Cute character, too - well done!

jackshadow 2025-04-08 16:42

@fusionnist Thanks for playing, a win on first try sounds like an achievement

fusionnist 2025-04-08 16:48

I got lucky though! Cut it close with zero moves left on a level or two... the fairy helper really is that good ;)

cure 2025-04-08 18:41

Wonderful game! Took like an hour, but I eventually beat it, and had fun the whole time! I'd absolutely buy a more fleshed out version of this on steam, great job.

jackshadow 2025-04-08 18:43

@cure Thanks for warm feedback, we hope it was a charming hour.

Great game, I enjoyed playing it, thank you!

pythorogus 2025-04-08 20:07

Cool game, cute cat :3

pigeon-dp 2025-04-08 20:16

Reached level 9, really enjoyed it. Great idea and artstyle.

This was so fun!! Loved how you turned the archeology minigame from diamond&pearl into its whole own game loop with upgrades and everything. Played it to the end! The only issue I ran into was wishing I could use the shape of my pickaxe on spots that I had already dug up, but not necessarily a problem, just something I wish I could do. Excellent work

echerry 2025-04-08 20:32

Снимок экрана 2025-04-09 013026.png A very tactile game with an interesting progression of digging and stone variety! Love it!

joscco 2025-04-08 20:54

Very nice game! Very self-explanatory, sweet graphics and surprisingly catchy concept. Congrats!

dywanix 2025-04-08 21:37

fun idea and great graphics!

andreadbx 2025-04-09 01:34

The idea is neat! Needs some balancing about the powerup (more hits op, i can just spam :D ) but that's understandable during a jam! Another pet peeve of mine is that: when you complete a level the money seems clickable, but as soon as you try click em, the powerup panel shows and you click on something random, so... just make the money doesn't seem clickable will do! For the rest, amazing art and the execution overall is truly great, good job!

liam 2025-04-09 15:22

Loved it, really nicely made. Had loads of fun and think this is one of my fave Jam entries

aniretti 2025-04-09 17:33

love it! i can clearly see that your game could be in game mobile stores. it's fun to play and it is replayable, i think is important in this kind of games. great job! oh, i forget to mention, bomb's sound jump scares me xd

marilou 2025-04-09 18:29

cute little game ! I love the art, the cat is so cute and searching things hiden was fun while havint upgrades to have more chance finding it (even if the difficulty rise at the same time haha)

wuppos 2025-04-09 20:29

This was a really polished, fun little game :D Everything looked very cohesive and gameplay wise it was fun to choose your upgrades after each level. I just felt that the one-block large treasures were a bit unfair, since it really felt like a gamble if you could find them or not. Maybe some more mechanics that give hints to where they might are might be fun? Anyway a really solid submission! Well done!

amolker 2025-04-11 00:03

Great cute little game. Has potential for development. Bonuses are not very well balanced, for example without the first pickaxe upgrade it is unlikely to pass the second level. But that's okay. Overall the game is quite interesting and fun.

scriveneroflight 2025-04-11 15:50

Nice little game! Very fun, simple and straightforward - and yet challenging. I found sometimes I got going to fast and forgot how many hits I had left... The sound effects were nice - though sometimes multiple bombs got too loud (maybe would have been okay to restrict number of bomb sounds going off at once to one). Other than that--and that was a really minor thing--I really don't have anything negative to say. Great work!

calitoucourt 2025-04-13 22:24

cute game, was fun to play !

retrome 2025-04-20 06:07

It was hard at first, but wow – a very interesting and satisfying puzzle! Nice graphics and audio, really well-done atmosphere. The sense of progress feels good, and the upgrade cards are clear. Awesome job!
