The graphics on this are insane, but unfortunately because there's no feedback for both giving damage and taking damage, it's hard to tell how much health an enemy has to regain mana, or when you're about to die.

It was a bit confusing since I didn't really know when I hit the enemy or it hit me. Otherwise graphics and sounds are really nice.
Wow the models and level are jaw-dropping! Amazing job - the characters especially are oozing with character and polish! The butt-crack on the ogre, the idle searching of the blunderbuss-goblin, and even the targeting reticle are all so lovingly crafted.
So funny watching these precious items zip around me frantically as I battle it out. The lore is hilarious to!
As others said the feedback and combat mechanics could use some work, but I greatly seeing this lovely little dungeon!
Thank you! We had enough artists and only one programmer, so I don't blame him for not polishing the game feel, he already had to deal with a room full of artists :D
Crazy cool 3D modelling, impressive for the time.
I killed all enemies collected all artifacts and brought them to the respective stations but then nothing happend... I guess a bug? I think the sword got stuck in the rock somehow and did not prroperly trigger the ending.
A Sword Stuck in a rock is kinda fitting tho lol
I have to agree that the looks of this game are truly amazing. I also especially love the circling artifacts following you around! And putting the sword back in the stone was a really nice touch :D That was very creative and fun :)
@ausstein @philocode Thank you for playing, yeah the ending doesn't trigger after further testing, will try to update that as soon as I can. It's a shame because we have a whole painting done for the win screen :D
@manmantas just post it here in the comments, then I can at least see it :)
Game art is really cool! I like it!
But I'm not sure how to win this game? I tried it 2 times but items were delivered, all enemies defeated and game was still continuing? Maybe I had problem with sword (see attached image)?
There is stone which can be used to walk out of bounds (if player had no items).
Also, red goblin fire immediately if player go near, so there is no chance to defeat him with melee atack. But overall, this is very funny game and I enjoyed playing :)

@ausstein you should be able to finish it now, it was a hackey way to fix it by just moving the target point outside the colliders but it's something :D
@tildecat Thank's for the feedback, noticed it too late, could of fixed it together with the ending
@manmantas I get a bunch of errors trying to extract the zip now
The name of the target folder is too long:
"That one time I became Merlin's apprentice and was tasked with destroying his magic artifacts and tax papers_BurstDebugInformation_Do_Not_Ship"
lol

ok got it to work by manually specifying a shorter folder name, but you might still want to look into that haha
@ausstein Thank you for the trouble shooting, I fixed it. Hopefully other players won't run in to such problems
3D graphics looks awesome, audio is fine but gameplay feels bad. While left mouse attack works kind of fine, right mouse is what I had to use the most and still have no clue how it works. Still overall the game is fine. Wish you a good jam
Very style and fun to play, good!
It looks good and the music is good but the whole thing with the mana is just a bit weird not because you need to kill things but because it doesn't pay enough mana back to even keep using spells and I ended up just spamming melee over and over to beat the game.
very fun, very chaotic.
Graphics and music are amazing and the story is also definitly something I havn't heared before, but gameplay wise I'm missing a lot of feedback and balancing: - I did not know how much hits something could take, or even when I hit something or got hit myself (only be means of my health going down) - animations are very cool, but seem to not align with whats happening ingame, since you can spam attacks much faster and already get damage when touching enemies, even though their animation has not started yet, - The biggest enemy with the shield and axe were the easiest, since they somehow did not hit me, while I took them out in meele. The smaller dinosaurs however sometimes took half of my health in instantly - The mana regeneration through kills was almost non-existent for me, since I only got 6 (?) per kill, but needed 10 to cast a single spell. I usually got my mana from dying over and over again. Maybe some kind of automatic mana regeneration or cooldown would be easier? That beeing said, I still enjoyed the experience and vibe of the game and am impressed by how much you managed in such a short time. And with some adjustments it would probably be awesome ;)
This was a nice game to play, and quite interesting take on the theme. The graphics were great and the music was good. I think a bit more feedback on damage and some passive mana regen would have really taken this to another level. Also, I have a new found hate for shotgun wielding goblins. Great job!
Models look good, Music also really engaging. The gameplay with Left and right click didn't felt good. The attack feedback wasn't there, and I wasn't sure how to properly fight, apart of right click and lost the right. Would be nice to have some more guidance on that.
That was very energetic! It played fine, and I didn't encounter any major bugs. The most impactful bug I saw was the sword (Excalibur, I assume) clipping through textures and getting stuck in stuff as a result (it was very easy to misplace it). There is room for improvement to provide a better player experience. Some damage taking animation would already go a long way. A way to restore some health, a different one than just by dying over and over , would also be nice. Mana restored with kills is not big enough to keep your mana going. You will run out and will have to die to restore it. Dying as resource regeneration mechanic
The graphics are great, and the music sets the mood nicely. And I totally love your baroque title!
Hey @daugvydas, @paulajulija, @modest, @vilius, and @manmantas
Great little game you guys submitted for the LD53 Jam!
I like the art style of the game!
Some feedback based on my experience with the game:
- I think the game could benefit from the player turning to the mouse direction only when mouse is clicked, just because the omni directional run is a bit weird (moving mouse around and running in one direction should not rotate the player around...) - I dont really like the fact that the game requires the player to die multiple times to complete it, I think it would be better if it was a bit more skill based and not *kill, die, kill, die, ..., kill, win game*. - The player would sometimes drop the artifacts which seemed unintended - I dont think its intended for enemies to damage each other, because after I realised they could my strategy was to run into a room, run around until they would kill each other then kill whoever was left...
Overall great game, with great artistic direction, I liked the LOTR reference too:)
Keep up the good work,
-Tim
The art style in this game is refreshing and visually appealing. The use of bold colors and unique character designs make it stand out from the crowd
