Hello there fellow Godot developers :)
As soon as I spotted that artstyle of yours I immediately had to play the game. The visuals the audio and the adorable characters are a delight. And how did you even come up with those names?! I just wish I was able to somehow undo the last placed item, because sometimes I press the wrong button or just put the Faluuta in slightly wrong spot and I have to restart the whole level from the beginning.

Thanks!!! Yeah, an undo mechanic would have been nice, I agree. As for names, they came from all of us, I drew a doodle and named it Blort, and that became the yardstick for the tone of our names. Most of them are silly puns:
Block -> Bluuk
Goes Up -> Gozzuppa
Walker -> Wakka
Television -> Far Looker -> Faluuka
Big One -> Byggin

Great work Kobold! Loved the idea of giving the player puzzle pieces and, giving them the means to fit them into the level to progress. Great Humor as well, loved the story and all the descriptions. (P.S. I'm SkyGuy, from Discord)
Great game with a high level of polish. Had a lot of fun playing!
A very funny art style, naming scheme and sound design. I'n not ashamed to admit that jumped onto a few eldritch impalers, just to hear the death blergh xD
Managed to finishe the game even without the extra Bluuk, but in the beginning I really struggled with the "non-standard" choice of buttons for control (especially when you use a qwertZ keyboard). I also made an odd control scheme once and realized that many people had issues. Another issue I ran into was the Wakka beeing a true cat and not wanting to walk into the other direction. Had a lot of fun anyway ;)

@archaeognathus Thanks so much! The death sound get me every time, and I'm the one who made it, lol.
The controls are a bit odd, I agree, something to tinker with. The wakka was even more catlike than you realize, oh the amount of collective manhours we spent _trying_ to get it to behave, but some of them still eluded us...
@iellswo That's a fun way of inventing goofy sounding names! Thank you for sharing. At first I thought that some of you must be Swedish, because to my ears those names sounded right out of the Ikea catalog :D

You are really great! The game turned out great!
Nice work guys!
I thought it very clever that the intro had the “runes” you use in the game, as I don’t have a qwerty keyboard, so it helped immediately knowing the controls. The pikes’ hitbox is a bit big, I sometimes died just standing near them XD I’m not very good at platformer but I still had lotsa fun with the puzzles!

Great twist on classic platforming, great humor and art direction as well. I had a lot of fun with this one, great work!

Great take on the theme! I'm so bad at platformer though :smile:

Great game, I love puzzle games so I went the hard route and skipped the optional spell.
Great work at designing the puzzles, difficulty was just right for a GameJam. The music was fitting and well balanced for headphones. The artwork is very unique, but very fitting for a GameJam.
Using up the spells is a great way to limit the player, but having to restart the level because you missplaced a spell by a few pixels is a bit frustrating. It's not bad as the levels are short enought, but an undo would be great, or a way to move it for a few pixels around the origin after placing. The jump might feel a bit clunky as you can't controll yourself as soon as you leave the ground, but as I used this kind of jump in one of my first GameJam games it felt a bit nostalgic.
TLDR: Great game, controlls need some adjusting to, think twice before placing anything.

@prepe Yeah, the undo is a commonly requested feature, and one that I really wish we had thought of and implemented from the get go. Controls could use some adjustment, but that's also a hard one to say definitively because that's up to taste sometimes. We had back and forth debate on air control, but a puzzle in level 2 is pretty dependent on you not having air control so we left it off (or rather, gave you just the tiniest amount of it).
Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!
Awesome work on this one, the art style is incredibly charming, really digging it. The music is simple but really manages to convey a wizard-y vibe with its tone, which fits perfectly. The icing on the cake for me with the sound is the walking sound effect, it had me laughing non stop, so silly. Gameplay wise I really enjoyed the puzzle and felt it was well balanced overall. Although I can see the undo being useful I didnt really run into much issues with placement, but I can agree with the others that this would be useful for some players to have access to. Finally, just wana compliment you guys on your tutorial, its something we ran out of time for, and yours is a great example of how to do it well. I also really enjoyed the controls screen, having them light up is a great touch. Awesome work overall :)

Nice puzzles, I appreciate the one-time limited use of each summon to avoid the spam, still an undo mechanic would be nice :) Great polish and cute walk/death SFX lol Well executed!

Very charming game and fits the theme well! The art style and sounds are nice, and I also liked the summoning at the start :) keep up the good work!
Cute little game, the artstyle is charming and it reminds me of some older flash games!
I usually like the idea of placing down objects in order to use them as platformers, and here it's done pretty well! I also really enjoy the clever pun names for the characters as someone who likes to that with my own ones
Just personal preference I would have liked a bit more control in the air because it caused me to die quite a bit, also if the jump was a bit higher as it caused me to get stuck and have to restart a few times, the game would really befit of that undo mechanic everyone is talking about lol, it was still enjoyable tho, the puzzles were pretty fun and easy to figure out.
Good entry!
Love the art style, and the personality that you added to the dialogue is nice too. I second the thing about air movement, some games don't let you do it and that adds to the game feel, but here it just felt a bit clunky. Being able to reposition things would probably break some of the puzzles, but being able to undo would be appreciated - for when I accidentally place something I didn't mean to and now have to start over. Neat little puzzle platformer here, great job! :smile:
I uploaded my play through of this to YouTube, I hope it’s useful to you in some way! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdDdT1rQiVo
The controls are a little awkward for me. But there are very nice artstyle, very anjoyable music, very interesting puzzles and very much fun)
Very cool, very user friendly guiding the player how to use things, etc. Nice job!

This game is so awesome -- 5 stars all the way. Love the MS paint aesthetic and the fun puzzles. Would play so many more levels. Blort is love, Blort is life.
@joeshanahan Oh thank you for showing it off! Sorry about the glitches, but it seems like you enjoyed it. :D
Absolutely in love with the sound design in this one - the death SFX was so charming! Overall very fun platformer, with just the right level of challenge.
