It's fun, but hard to figure out. At first I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do, but eventually I figured out that I needed to go places with the map. I was never able to craft anything or complete any objectives, I'm not really sure what I needed to do. This really needs more of a tutorial. (The tutorial button on the home screen didn't do anything when I clicked it.)

I went back in and played it a bunch more because I thought of something to try and I'm glad I did. I really figured out the gameplay loop at that point.

bryceltaylor 2025-10-17 02:20

Many times I salvaged in an area without realizing I was full of cards and had to waste the salvage and not get something useful. I wished it didn't allow you to salvage when your inventory is full. I also wish that the slots for used items was better explained. I was just filling up my inventory with a couple items for many salvage attempts. I thought they were equipped already.

Also, it seems way easier to lose health than to gain it. I never finished the game because I died each time. Food is quite plentiful, though, which is good.

Overall, I like the mission system, and how it improves or makes worse one of the sections the next day. I didn't realize how to fulfill a mission at first. For some reason I didn't make the connection that the mission was to acquire the symbols which are on the cards. I think part of that was that my first mission was called "navigation" (or similar) and I couldn't go to the bridge. Some text that says "Get these and put them here" when you open the first one would go a long way.

I ended up playing for a long time, so this may seem like I didn't like it, but I did. I just had to put a lot of work in to find that out.

@bryceltaylor Thank you so much for playing! The tutorial button works for me? I can put the tutorial pages on the page as screenshots too.

I'm glad you came back to give it another shot!

I'm sorry you had to brute-force it to work out what to do, but I'm glad it's possible!

I can add the fix to not salvage when you have a full hand of cards.

Edit: In an effort to make the game easier, you now heal if you eat each day. I hope this helps!

d3kryption 2025-10-17 20:40

Charming concept with a lot of depth once you figure it out. The mission system and daily changes are great touches, though the lack of clear tutorials makes the early game confusing. Once it clicks, it’s surprisingly engaging — a solid solo dev effort with tons of potential!

tomrijnbeek 2025-10-17 21:17

Really fun concept, though even with the tutorial not super obvious how to get started. Figured it out after some time and then the connection to the theme makes a lot of sense too. Overall, amazing sense of polish, well done.

weirdbitgames 2025-10-17 21:33

@d3kryption I'm sorry if the tutorial isn't that clear, if that's what you meant! I did try to make it cover all the bases!

Thank you for playing!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-17 21:34

@tomrijnbeek thank you! I tried to make the tutorial make as much sense as I could!

brainloaf-studio 2025-10-17 21:58

Love the strategic gameplay! I could see this game having a high skill ceiling with all of the different actions you can take every day, and it doesn't take long to start figuring out how things work! It almost feels like a board game (in a good way). Nice work!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-17 22:04

@brainloaf-studio Yey, Thaaaank yooooou! <3

yibirabbit007 2025-10-18 01:17

I think I really do need more instructions. The things that can be dug up daily are limited, but ultimately they still need to be stored in the meeting room and then combined to complete the day's task. This style of game might be similar to Goose Goose Duck!

cody-raethke 2025-10-18 03:53

Wow, this has a lot of potential! Nice clean visuals, and the music fit well. I was a little overwhelmed by the tutorial coming in and not knowing what the game was about - it got right into the details. But kudos for having a tutorial in the first place, I would have been lost without it. The game itself is fun, and I think you had a good balance of different cards, craftables, and effects. I'm not sure if I was just unlucky or what, but it felt like the hazards spawned too frequently in the very low/low risk rooms. I tried to use a strategy of only going to the rooms that were less than medium risk, but I'd still often get multiple hazzard cards, and ended up running out of health before I finished the second day.

shaggy 2025-10-18 09:15

Great contribution I really liked it!

fractal 2025-10-18 12:30

Took some time to understand but I finally managed to figure out what most of the cards do and could survive until I was rescued. It was well balanced: not easy but not impossible either, I had to think carefully. Very well done!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-18 12:34

@yibirabbit007 Sorry for the lacking instructions. Thank you for playing!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-18 12:35

@cody-raethke I'm glad you had fun, sorry if the game balance was off. I think that still needs to be worked on! Thank you for your kind words of encouragement!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-18 12:35

@shaggy Thank you!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-18 12:36

@fractal thank you so much for persisting with it, it was difficult to make and even more to try and balance it!

thomas-bringer 2025-10-18 15:48

Nice game with super cool UI art! Gave me Among Us vibes

weirdbitgames 2025-10-18 15:49

@thomas-bringer yay thank you for the compliment and for playing! <3

rosypenguin 2025-10-18 17:32

The art and UI is very clean and polished. Played through several times to try to complete the game but I think the RNG is kinda harsh. Even when I prioritize crafting phasers and phaser rifles I still end up getting -1 health events from a "threat level none" salvage, break the phasers, and game over before day 6. But I love the concept and found myself getting into a nice rhythm. Overall very nicely done, would love to see a post-jam version!

Quick suggestion, the menus should close when another is opened, just so they don't end up getting layered. When they get layered you can click an option and the click event is read on every layer.

weirdbitgames 2025-10-18 17:38

@rosypenguin Hello you!! <3 Thank you for playing and yeah I think the game balance is a little on the harsh side, sorry! Ah good idea, I should make it so the menus don't stack up, thank you!

tsaot 2025-10-18 20:54

The UI is good, but I could not get my mind to click with the gameplay. I understand I'm supposed to go salvage in certain rooms, but I could not, for the life of me, get what I needed from the rooms I was salvaging. I'm not sure where I went wrong.

marks 2025-10-18 21:01

Really liked the vibe of the game, nice work on the visuals and audio! Feels like a mix between 'Among Us' and '60 Seconds'. Felt info dumped during the tutorial, I'd think adding tool tips on actions or just adding in-game hints would've went smoother, though, I got the core of the gameplay and figured out the details in practice. I tried a few times to survive until rescue but, sadly, the threat randomness seemed quite punishing but really enjoyed the game either way, amazing work!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-19 00:59

@tsaot I had that happen fairly often too. Like I'd have an entire game with only herbs from medical, no chemicals at all! RNG be really weird sometimes. Thank you for playing!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-19 01:00

@marks hello thank you for your kind words! Sorry about the info dump!

ranarh 2025-10-19 01:48

I think the ganme design is pretty cool. Sadly I could not manage to even craft a single thing because despite having fulfilled the requirements, all I got playing onf Firefox was picking up the card behind the "Craft" button. Other than that, slightly too small UI and neat graphics.

weirdbitgames 2025-10-19 11:52

@ranarh Thank you so much! I was worried the UI might be too big (epecially the stockpile inventory) especially in fullscreen mode. Thank you for playing!

roman-klaudo 2025-10-19 16:21

Wow, it`s looks like a complicated and fully finished game with this stylish visual and great minimalistic sfx and music! I`m surprised that such level of games with full tutorial was madee in 9 days!

weirdbitgames 2025-10-19 16:32

@roman-klaudo thank you for such high praise!!

zliebowitz 2025-10-19 22:00

It's obvious a lot of work went in to this.

As a warning, for those with bad eyes, that font is a bit hard to read so it was a bit ahrd going through the tutorial. Definitely n interesting concept.

I did see a few bugs. Going rom full screen to regular screen and trying to drag cards to the stockpile showed dulicate cards.

I also ahd cards be clicked through the crafting gui when trying to craft.

That said, it is obvious that a lot of care was take with making this game in such a shorttime and it is definitly a cool entry.

weirdbitgames 2025-10-19 22:39

@zliebowitz ah sorry for the bugs! Thank you for your praise, I'm glad you enjoyed!

homoludens 2025-10-20 15:08

This is pretty good! I enjoyed it but there were a few bugs that made it hard, like while a menu is open you can still pick up other cards behind it

weirdbitgames 2025-10-20 16:13

@homoludens Dang, I thought that bug was fixed before I published it! Thank you for your kind words and for playing!

megalukes 2025-10-20 19:12

I found the game a bit hard to understand without checking the tutorial. However, that’s usually the challenge of participating in jams like this, since we never manage to make things polished enough. Overall, I thought the game was really beautiful and the art was very well done.

weirdbitgames 2025-10-20 19:35

@megalukes Thank you so much for saying it was beautiful!. Thank you for checking my game out too!

fireslash 2025-10-22 07:42

I had trouble with items not being aligned to the mouse cursor so I couldn't progress. Maybe a firefox+display scale thing? Not sure.

weirdbitgames 2025-10-22 10:16

@fireslash Yeah I had that problem occasionally in testing, I'm not sure what causes it. I'm sorry you couldn't play!

luna-smol 2025-10-23 20:39

I liked the idea, and i really like the art you made, especially for the cards! Really consistent and fun artstyle and recognizable icons :3

If you want to improve it, as some people mentioned there is some bugs with the alignment of the mouse and UI elements, And elements should block others beneath them. And I think in general some of them need more feedback, like highlighting what card you select in the stockpile or what hazard effects get executed when drawing them. Cause I think only one of them got triggered when drawing multiple?

And as some nitpicks i think the salvage counter could have been visible globally and since there was no penalty for going back to the stockpile to store cards that kind of just felt tedious

weirdbitgames 2025-10-23 21:24

@luna-smol Thank you for the feedback! I'll look into the ui elements on other layers interacting. I think having all 2-3 hazard effects activating would be super harsh, so it'll just be the first one. I can highlight is potentially, sure. Good idea! I agree about the salvage counter being visible globally! Thank you for playing, I hope you had fun though!
