Looking good!
It's a shame you can't open it without downloading it, the visuals were interesting
Awesome game! Pretty polished, and the atmosphere is nice. We made something similar, but with a different perspective.
The movement physics are just clunky enough to introduce a bit of challenge without becoming obnoxious, and the music is nice without being too distracting. It would be nice to get some sort of new ability in the later levels so one does not just feel like they are doing the same thing against tougher obstacles, but the game is quite fun as it is :)
The game is an absolute banger :)
The graphics are great and the music complete perfectly the mood of the game, in my opinion.
I thought there would be 3 level max, but when I saw the 5th pop up I was surprised. The feeling of the controls is very good. Even though it was a little strange at first, I adapted very quickly. At first, I tried to push "s" key to go down, but it makes you go backward compared to where your character is looking.
The only reason I did not finish it is because I must test other games and I am very slow at the game. But, I will keep it and finish it later.
This was great
Actually had a lot of fun and stuck around longer than I expected. Nice atmosphere, clean visuals, clean gameplay.
Really cool atmosphere (i’m in love with the muffled explosion sound)
the game is simple yet trully well done, i was already imagining having to tweak sliders to manage the ship
Really promising
Too bad it's windows only. 😕
@nexyisan @chuckeles Sorry! We were experimenting with Wwise and didn't plan the release accordingly (which was more problematic than anticipated).
@aquanim We discussed the possibility of having abilities/upgrades, but it was part of the features we had to cut off. We thought it was more engaging to focus on a short and fun experience for the jam instead of going for the grinding kind of game. Upgrades could definitely be part of the game if it was bigger though, so good point =)
A really solid game for a game jam — I liked it a lot. It looks great visually, has nice background music (at least on the first levels), a good difficulty progression, and enjoyable gameplay. I stopped after losing on level 5, with 16 out of 17 collected :)
@chuckeles Thanks for the feedback! I've made some new builds for Linux and Mac, maybe you can play the game like this.
@fullbuff thanks, I played it and it's good! Great job. One small feedback: I think the ship should have lower friction when moving, it's in space after all. So it should float more and not slow down as much. Also the rotation is a little too fast and also stops too fast, it was a little difficult to aim.
GREAT entry here! Loved the feel of movement, the collection and the excellent useless sliders etc! :D Great humour, wonderful graphics, a solid entry. Great work.
Good game, pretty well-designed. I'd like to add small angle for easier aiming with the hook. Last level was pure hell, and a bag hid behind meteorite.
@custodi Thanks for the feedback! I agree we should tweak more the controls. I'll keep in mind the asteroid collision shape issue if we do another release. Glad you went through level 5 :)
Very solid overall, one thing I would've liked to have is some kind of mini map for knowing where the trash is, I spent some time in the last level flying around just looking for the last one. Still, this is a really good entry.
that is a very good work! loved the gtaphics!
It's a full game! Congrats! Music, visuals, level design, the works! I loved it! To be a bit more picky, while I appreciated the controller support, I think that while turning with the left thumbstick felt intuitive, I kept engaging the main engines accidentally. I'd have much preferred forward and backwards to be right and left triggers, with the grapple on A or X. Also, I found it a bit odd that the left and right didn't conserve momentum, while forwards and backwards did.
I loved the asteroids being moveable with the grapple. I thought that that was a great mechanic, but I wish that there was some kind of repeller in addition to the grapple. It would have been really cool to be able to grab a bomb with the grapple and then throw it. Also, I enjoyed the conservation of momentum of the various moving objects, but I kind of felt like it should have been greater. There's no air friction in space, so while it might make sense in terms of mechanics to have things slow down, it seems kind of odd...
@BlueDandelion Thank you! Yes, the last level is definitely tough! (even I had some trouble completing it) We opted for a fun and easy experience for everyone, but still wanted to offer some challenge for players that crave for it, so we made an extra hard fifth level. The minimap was planned, but as we made tiny levels except for the last one, we felt like it wasn't really an essential feature (and thus it got left aside for more important features).
@good-enough Thanks! Your points are valid. Controller support was quickly added near the end (not a lot of testing implied) and we also thought that rotation needed some kind of acceleration. However, we tested the ship without friction and we found it harder to control, so we had to add some (and you know, we had a truck, floating traffic cones and sound in space, so we didn't really care about realism haha!).
I see so much potential in this game idea. great work. Also i give you high score for humour thanks to that UI game design failure and useles sliders, i was laughing so hard
I may have died trying to blow up the trash center. **Vive la révolution!**
I guess I'm the CEO now, which *I suppose* is sorta a revolution.
Inertial damping on the asteroids and such, while not scientifically accurate, was much appreciated given this big chungous and its hitbox to match. Appreciated the linux builds as well. Godot runs fine through WINE (or borrowing the native executable from another game and naming it to match the pck), but it is nice to avoid the extra step.
[Edit: The last level is pretty easy. I think I am broken.]
Great game! My favorite part was pulling large asteroids and the suspiciously asteriod-shaped underwear (took me way too long to find). The sound design and visual effects were amazing! Also big thanks for the controller support and the Linux build :) My only complaint would be that turning seemed too sensitive with a controller, which made aiming at a distance pretty difficult. Otherwise, excellent entry!
That was very fun! Movement and aiming took a little while to get the hang of, but I ended up completing all levels and enjoyed it quite a bit. Love how polished you made it, really does a lot to add to the experience. The little bits of humour were nice too. You all did a great job!
I really enjoyed the graphics, and especially the controls were very enjoyable!)
Lovely little concept. Loved the graphics style especially, though would've loved to see the pixel art style extended more into the UI.
Great game, I really enjoyed the graphics and the overall atmosphere. It feels really polished and smooth.
Btw, I had this strategy for the last level where I cover myself with garbage as a protective layer :)

I absolutetly love this one! Looks like complete project.
@sunjet Thanks! haha yes we knew about the garbage shield trick, but decided to leave it
