Interesting game! I loved the graphics, my only complaint is that some rooms felt like there were too many enemies but at the same time there were too many rooms that were completely empty. Nice work though!

Wow, I was really stuck for a good 10 minutes, playing this game :D I liked the minimalistic art and the idea behind it :)

It's a very interesting game. I encountered a bug the first time I tried it. But the second time I got a module that increases attack speed, all the monsters were no longer my opponent! It's amazing to be able to complete such a rougelike game in such a short time!

Nice little concept. The firing sound gets a bit loud once you get several firing speed upgrades. The popup enemies were amusing but also quite scary.

@nathmate @autumn7433 @gabriel-chan Thanks for playing as well as leaving feedback!

@kutaryoushinkoku Hey thanks for playing! Did you get this bug on the web version? I thought I had fixed it, but I may need to do some more bug squashing.

kutaryoushinkoku 2023-10-04 04:51

@masterofcheese yes i played the web version

discofish 2023-10-04 09:19

Nice idea and I like art style! It was fun to play

Damn those those things tries to jpeged me at every corner! It's a fun little game, I like your upgrade mechanic (although I ended up not being limited in space as I finished the game before getting too many upgrades). The sprites are nice too. Good job!

zealous-coder 2023-10-05 02:42

wow I was totally glitching out on this, and having fun machine-gunning me some jpegs.

masterofcheese 2023-10-05 23:11

@discofish Thanks for playing!

@yorsh haha thanks for trying it! I liked your game a lot more.

@zealous-coder yeah, it's incredible buggy... that's what happens when you don't play test until last minute. Glad you enjoyed it though :).

This was fun - well done for getting random level generation working in a compo entry! Some of the rooms were a bit overwhelming, especially if there were a lot of enemies near the door you entered from - it would be good if there was more time to react before things started killing you. My only other suggestion is that some background music would help to set the tone.

At first I was going to say it wasn't that buggy, but then I advanced to the 2nd level and everything just started breaking. Honestly, it was sort of funny. The minimalist art style is nice, though the UI was a bit difficult to read. Also, the firing sound was really loud, I had to turn my volume super low and it was still very loud. I ended up seeing the same upgrade multiple times over until eventually my gun was suddenly a machine gun, lol. Overall, good job though!

@benskca Thanks dude! I'm really bummed out I couldn't finish a track for this cause it's one of my favorite parts.

@scolondev Thanks for not being afraid to give some honest feedback. Glad you kinda liked it!

Very cute top down shooter. Inventory is a little buggy.

tygrak 2023-10-12 05:40

Very nice artstyle -- what a cool aesthetic! As you said it was a bit buggy, I had enemies attack me and hurt me while I was walking through the doors a few times. I also got stuck in the door, I think by going through and back again I think? But I still enjoyed the game, roguelites are the best!

milq 2023-10-13 10:25

Even though it's slightly buggy, especially in the inventory and whatever follows, I can only express my adoration! Seriously, it's a genuinely hidden gem of a game! I've had so much fun playing it, and the level design is outstanding! All of this in 48 hours! I would love to see and enjoy a post-jam version because, honestly, the polished game must be even better than it already is. Fantastic game!

durkagames 2023-10-15 22:03

It seems to me that I will dream about this sound of a shot in the nightmares! Seriously, do something about this :(
