Intresting games. At first I was a bit confused, then I understood the goal. I enjoy it, yet couldn't succeed at lvl 5. I liked the way you used a lot of different objects for making the puzzle. Controls are very intuitive and well made, good jobs.

Good game! The sounds and graphics are really satisfying. Figuring out the puzzles were fun, the last one was particularly difficult. It was a tad difficult to see all the places I could put stuff though as some of the ship was blocked by the angle.

Fun take on the theme with reasonably challenging puzzles. Once I got used to the controls (sometimes I lost track of where my mouse was in the upper right corner) I enjoyed loading up the boat. Graphics look great and the sounds work well. Overall a well put together jam game, well done!

Great polish especially for 48 hours, such a peaceful and relaxing game! Maybe it was because I was getting better as the game went but for me the hardest levels were around 2 or 3, then I had a easy time for the final 2. Great job :D

Very nice idea, somewhat similar to mine too. Controls are a bit fiddly sometimes (I think the shape gets stuck somewhere it shouldn't until you grab it again) but other than that a solid effort and a nice entry.

Nearly perfect puzzle game for LD54: It fits the theme and the mood comes from graphics and sound is amazing!

Nice and simple 3D assets, visuals and sound effects work well together. I like how moving pieces feels like you are actually relocating some toys made of wood

A great entry, loved it and would love to see more

captaindreamcast 2023-10-03 12:38

LET IT BE KNOWN, that I managed to beat level 5 on my first try (through the power of sheer luck alone but that still counts). Spent quite a while on level 4 though, that was the hardest for me, took a bit until I saw how the pieces optimally line up.

But yeah, super cool puzzle game! Just the right amount of challenge, felt very rewarding to figure out the solution. Very polished, loved it, great job!

Very intuitive controls and it looks really polished for a compo entry. Had a few issues with the controls (sometimes a click wouldn't place the item). The puzzles were great, one level (I think level 3) was a real headscratcher until I finally solved it. Overall very satisfying to play.

nice job working in 3d. At first I felt like I needed to place the sails to produce an even distribution of thrust :joy:. The music has a nice chill vibe.

bloham 2023-10-04 21:24

Hi Jake,

I like that you made an similar game to me :) But yours is more polished and more puzzle like! I like it! level 3 was especially hard. I like the creative ways of storing the cargo :) I am kind of curious how you made the models with figma? It looks like low poly blender to me. I have not expected so many levels in a Compo game! Your art style was well done, it looked really coherant. Thank you for letting me know about your game :)

googlypoo 2023-10-04 22:20

@bloham Thanks for playing :) I used Figma to make the vector graphics for the barrel contents. For the models I used Unity ProBuilder.

Nice simple puzzle game, I've done a lot of this type of game so it was kind of easy for me would have like some more difficulty. Things felt a little...sticky to me maybe just my machine...altogether great job perhaps a timer would have been nice at the end.

ididgame 2023-10-05 14:13

simple but very enjoyable, nice music felt the mouse movement was a bit choppy sometimes

mastoast 2023-10-05 20:26

Great entry, the ambiant music works well, a i liked details like the shape of the ship for transition screens or the wave effects you used on the water. It looks great

scolondev 2023-10-05 20:41

A relaxing and simple puzzle game, the audio design is nice and lets your mind wander off to think about things as you try to complete the puzzles. Despite that, these puzzles are too big brain for me to figure out, so I didn't get very far, lol. Good work on this entry!

I also considered doing some kind of tangram puzzle type thing! I enjoyed the variety of shapes and models. It probably could have used one additional mechanic to spice things up, but I can't fault it too much since it's more faithful to the theme than my submission... :P

Nice experience! Fitting idea, well implemented. Love the water effects you did, clever! Got all the way through.

I like to give this tip a lot as I use it all the time. For sound effects (pick up and put down box in this case), adding a tiny random change in pitch (for example, can also be volume or other paramters) each time can add a nice sense of variety with very little work. Not the biggest thing but hey thought I'd mention it.

Something I noticed was that I wanted the items to fit perfectly but most of the time that was not the case. There's a certain kind of feeling when stuff "JUST fits", also adds to the strategy. In case you wanna continue, maybe think about that.

Anyway great all around jam! Thanks

Clear graphics and nice gameplay feel. Enjoyed the different meaningful shapes, that make sense with the setting!
