I had both my hands glued to the left mouse button mashing like a solider on a snare drum. TOO MUCH TEXT.

Best one yet! I am super impressed with the game feel provided! The only gripe was aiming was relative to car velocity or something? I had to aim well in-front of the mailbox, which felt a little hard to grasp initially. The sound design and music were on-point, and the visuals sold it! Loved the painted style for the scrolling environment and objects. The objective was clear and concise. Didn't get too far in the game, but what I saw I liked a lot. Thanks!
Super game, love the concept and execution. Music was good, sounds were cringe in a /good/ way 😀. Objective was very clear. Controls were really responsive and reasonable. Challange ramp was also really nice and satisfying. Probably did 8 loads before failing from a stair-step internal that confused me before I saw the 50lbs weights. Nice.
Beat it! Very pleasant experience! Glad you managed to manufacture so many puzzles.
Would have loved for my mouse to connect to the held piece where I clicked so placing was a little more intuitive (snapped to the grid) but it was fine to get used to. Pulling off pieces felt really good. Sound was serviceable. Music was surprisingly appropriate. Overall 4.8 probably! Thanks a lot.
X THROWS THE PACKAGE??? MY HEART 🤣
Was really fun. Got through the first two levels. Sound and graphics are authentic. Physics is great. Lack of attacks against the mice was really frusterating, as far as I could tell you just have to wait for them.
edit: Never mind, I read the controls. Game's a lot more playable realizing I can stun enemies without damaging the goods 😀 Still a tough game, but super authentic and with enough patience it's definitely surmountable.
Stressed me out, got through 2 deliveries and had to stop. After doing a game jam, my hearts feeling too weak for anything else. Sorry 🙏
Great drawings though!
Great idea, great implimentation! I loved slamming the shelves to change momentum and side-step the penguins. Graphics were clean and readable, light from the headlights was a nice touch and bumping boxes causing bounces was very appealing and played to the strengths of the physics mechanic. Would love some more time spent on sound and music but the sounds are base-serviceable, especially the tape sound. Got 7000pts second run 🥈
Great art, the scripting is working really well. I couldn't figure out how to drop off at the green sight, and honestly my brain/heart can't take the stress right now, just trying to chill, so I only tried playing it for a minute before quitting. Love the system! Buy menu looks great too! Sound is probably too loud, the music should probably just take center stage, it sounds good!
Got past the tutorial and towards the meat of the game, had to quit cause it was a little too intense for my peanut brain after game dev. The mechanics are great, the MUSIC - MY GOD THE MUSIC - nailed it. Fits the mood of the color too (cool). Design was good, art was good. Thanks.
Great music, sounds and voice, art is really nice. The one part that was weak for me was the controls and design felt a little loose and difficult. Would have been nice to be able to move freely with wasd+mouse or just be able to move a bit faster, wasn't nice to tap the cursor direction and slowly lerp to the next orientation or position... though yeah exactly what I'd do differently I don't know for sure. The timer was really slow to drain and I felt really distanced from my tasks. --- actually thinking about it I think this design would have worked really well top-down with absolute cursor directions for controls instead of in first-person, but maybe that would have made it too easy? Anyway, overall a super pleasant game except for the general game design.
Well look at you butterfly, I can fly twice as high! x100 - the game 😀
I got 3 babies delivered before having to quit, definitely a tough game to handle, maybe a bit of angular drag would have gone a long way 🤔 Also having the music not reset would have been very appreciated.
Yeeeehaw
Music is excellent! Unfortunately I couldn't get far enough to shoot anything, but I appreciate the work done from what I could see! 😀
ASMR audio, twist ending. Really has it all.
Sad it doesn't show up well in the view on Ludum Dare, not that you would have been able to know ahead of submission. Nice showing! Unfortunately I didn't make it too far. Sound was definitely holding the experience back.
Graphics make the text hard to read THOUGH the camera work over the pixel surface with the edge distortion is really nice - so, mixed.
Sound is a bit anxiety inducing, but I appreciate the banjo-style voice work.
Scoring, is it arbitrary? Ultimately I couldn't figure it out. Maybe scoring would be a good task for ChatGPT :)
The idea is great, but the execution makes it a hard game to play. --- If the music and sound were appropriately up-beat and the colors were cooler and more comfortable, it probably would have meshed better.
The concept is hilarious! Not going to touch it from my work computer, bad look to be running un-sandboxed code on an intranet device. 😀
Gave it a shot! Definitely working good and running well 🙂 The keyboard controls were a bit to get used to, but I managed. I'd have to take longer to understand solutions --- the fan on-top of the block not blowing a block underneath I realized late, would have to reset - etc. Any time I try these grid-based puzzle games I bemoan linear interpolated state transitions, but seems like it's pretty standard, to me it just slows down solution discovery.
Good luck! 👋
I tried pretty hard to get used to the controls, they are really loose and require a lot of commitment ahead of time.
Music is banging! Love it!
Sound is serviceable
Graphics are readable and useable 👍
The physics aren't quite serviceable with the controls, and is a bit of a chore to play through. Didn't make it too far. The graphics are disorienting in the beginning because the scale of the background isn't initially known until you start moving, which immediately induced motion sickness in me - oddly. Good showing.
It's the travelling salesman problem - given that AI can't really do this well, this is a really compelling idea. Would have loved more graphics especially for collecting more coffee and delivering events, different colors based on distance / priority or something, but it's a really solid concept. Nice one!
55 cups - get wrecked
Score 1796. Very hypnotising/addicting! Once I figured it out I was hooked! I would probably have jumping on s or something, but space was serviceable. The split brain multitasking + navigation activated some fun parts of my brain. These travelling salesman games are the best IMO. Best execution as well. Best game I played yet. Thank you.
Also the music and sound is on point. Graphics are serviceable, though a bit noisy between environment and game-specific content, but still, an exercise for the eyes isn't a bad thing.
The browser gating is a sad/funny limit, sorry I won't be able to check it out, maybe I can fool the site into thinking I'm a different browser?
...
I'm using the chrome/edge extension -> User Agent Switcher
By emulating Opera (Apply to current window) then hitting refresh, by golly it can be played.
@ellaris Game giving me a bit of anxiety honestly, I think probably the sound effects are a little too harsh and the AI being able to wander offscreen to avoid attacks is too strong / I'm not able to land any hits at all. Pretty arduous to slowly fail to this AI guy. Definitely a good go at it! 👍
Super music, sound is pretty rough, sad they're in the same rating category 😐
Couldn't figure out that space was the button, there's no sound queue unless you are successfully carrying a package. The physics got in the way, and the variable vertical movement speed (I know it's realistic) wasn't that appealing and subtracted from my enjoyment. The light under the drone was a nice touch
Greetings from Canada 🍁
Web build when? I'm trying to avoid running native code on my work computer.
This was really hard to initially understand, but with enough clicking, I figured it out! It was incredibly hard to distinguish between game-critical stuff and background stuff, as well as resources-sources/customers/base areas. Not to say I didn't eventually figure it out! 25/25 delivered 🥇 ez gg
Thanks @linus-lindberg and @kylethecoder it's heartwarming!
@linus-lindberg Ultimately I'm mad I didn't get the game done. Sadly probably my best hours on Saturday before supper were eaten up trying to get my C# code environment to give me autocomplete and breakpoints so I could debug my behaviours, railroaded me and threw off the entire schedule. I was hopeful I could pull something out in the last 1 hour, but it just wasn't to be. The livestream is definitely the best in the first 20 minutes, the rest is just for commiseration of fellow human suffering 🙂
Has definitely made me hungry to try more, as long as my family and job is willing to tolerate it.
@fargred Definitely, for a first attempt, I'm satisfied. Happy you're intrigued, next time with a new character design and less railroads I think I'll be able to really get something nailed down, honed and submitted 100%.
@yorsh @fnkee @tomas-selmeci Thanks so much! @yorsh Good advice. I know that I spent too long on the menus and transitions for sure. I feel like if I don't have as many dev disasters I will have the time next time to get from the menu to the game levels and back again. Ultimately having a really nice menu flow was pretty much critical to the game's success in my mind, which is why I didn't back off from polishing it. Ultimately I needed more time and fewer disasters to complete it.
@fnkee You can see me start hyperventelating near the end of the stream almost, it's nasty, but I'm glad it's recorded, better than to suffer alone 🙂
@tomas-selmeci Thanks for visiting! I loved making the music. My drum kit is getting lots of love 🥰
@decadedecaf Me too 💔 Next time!
@bit-flipz Thanks for taking the time to check it out! Definitely would have loved to finish it. ✌️
@candlesan Totally get it. I was just too burnt out by the 48h mark I knew extending to 72h would be bad for me. Gotta have some energy for my joband family after all
@zungryware It's good advice!
For my part I was basically setting the survival of the project on having a super slick intro and main menu, since that was the thing I consider would set me apart and give me some edge. The game itself was Wayyyy out of scope, I actually cut a lot of the scope down in order to try and make it more feasable, but ultimately it wasn't to be.
The main thing that broke the flow for me was on Saturday my code editor wasn't doing auto-complete, breakpoints or debugging. I spent probably 4 of my BEST hours on that one, which threw the whole system off. By Sunday I was already fully aware I probably wasn't going to make it.
This was my first attempt on my own --- 48 hours is REALLY short for Design, 3D, 2D, Music, Sound, Scripting, Testing, so I'm proud of what I have 🙂
Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks, @sodoj
@zungryware I have a 'go big or go home' mentality, just my personality
@zungryware I'd bet 50 bucks I'll rank higher in aggregate score (add all category scores together and divide by amount of categories) edit: Let me know if we have a deal 🤙 @mods let me know if this is uncouth, I will back off
@zungryware my brother in christ - you tell me how I should do my development process, tell me what is important and what is not, and tell me that I should pack up and 'go home'. I would like you to own up and take the proposed bet or take back what you said please.
@zungryware I believe you :) thanks ✌️
@zungrywave Just a shower thought - after all the criticism and comments I recieved, somehow yours stood out as insensitive and demeaning. This might be a good opportunity to observe the others and then yourself and figure out whats different.
I'd like to live in a world where our text generally bears good will and kindness... humility...
I know you mean well, but wording and phrasing tends to get interpreted bluntly (hi, I'm a speed reader), so we need to take extra care to really slam our readers in to our intent to improve others and ourselves with our words.
Maybe I'm an outlier but I sense that you will run into more problems in the future with your current messaging style - yeah text is hard but not insurmountable.
All said, thanks for the advice, and I appreciate your side of the story.
Thanks, @debotheaux @jitspoe !
@kristinamay Thanks a lot! It's really encouraging to see the interest, helps me convince my wife to let me make more games 😁
Rating it higher overall just cause I love the drifting physics :)
Really pleasant graphics, appreciate you making it still runnable on my laptop at decent frames (lots of unreal games seem like they are just bashing my GPU into dust). Design seems pretty loose, gameplay pretty random, but the concept is fine! Font choice with the glowey game elements is nice.
Deep platformer, enjoyed the challenges!
I definitely have a soft spot for HTML native games! On Edge browser I got weird icons showing on all the elements. Didn't get too far, but had fun seeing the HTML goofiness on display.
Enjoyable to discover the layout of your little delivery area! I felt like a warehouse worker all over again - such nostalgia... ?
Love the graphics! Easy to figure out from just trial and error what's going on.
I'm a sucker for shooters, so I enjoyed this one!
Lots of potential! The game design was definitely not really anywhere yet, so I didn't really stick around until my space was truely limited. Wasn't sure if my buffs were applying, or when crits occurred, or what perception could really accomplish. Nice shapes and art for the shapes
Pretty tricky on my laptop trackpad and wasd, sure it's a cakewalk if I had a mouse. Couldn't get all the oabs
Hello, I really couldn't figure out the first level - I can stack small luggage on other luggage, with the big luggage capping it off - the fish bowl also caps a stack. I can also get the floor into 3 different configurations by moving the big 1x1 blocks around, but nothing else seems to budge. I'm stumped!
Goofy and simple :)
Easy controls, once I found the keys! The design definitely felt like there wasn't a lot of guidance how many shrink collectables you needed to continue, so I was unsure of if I needed to backtrack or just keep trucking.
Nice idea! The art is clear and gameplay understandable.
I smiled :) simple and charming
@daniel-boghossian Thanks, definitely was tempted to add a lot more levels, but we had to get things done before the end of Saturday that weekend, so we tied it up nice pretty early on.
@unless-games Nice ideas! It definitely feels to us like there's a lot of room to play with the design and expand it in neat ways.
@ryusui Yeah! Definitely fell short on time for sound and music, which would have been welcome the intro sequence. Yeah I could have taken more time to engineer the timing so the timing windows were totally in-sync for all files, so players don't end up with near-perfects that just hit the edge of the window and miss some. I wonder if the web build adds latency 🤔
Definitely mysterious!
It was tricky placing shapes, and it took me a bit to understand to get all the shapes in the red border, instead of just where the platform's graphics are. Nice entry!
My computer was struggling to render this amazing game
The background was really rippley, which was distracting. Some openings let me through and others didn't, didn't seem like there was a lot of guidance on which way to go. Looks nice if you're standing still! Nice submission.
A timer would be nice to be able for us to say how far we got! Limited jumps is pretty frusterating :)
Really slick! Love the small polish like the shadows underneath the characters. Didn't get far before I ate it - a bit of a waiting game, but I don't mind
@framboisedodue Thanks for playing! Yeah fixing is on a toggle, in case you want to repair for longer. Shift can move you around faster, it is possible to do!
@rubixnoob13 Thanks for playing!
@wildcodeplay Definitely check out the source code if you have time! I had a lot of fun with the code structure and I'm hoping to keep running with it in the future! Unfortunately, yeah... not enough time to actually build more variety in the game. I think I might retro-actively reduce the difficulty of the later levels, just so people finish
@alzhu1 Yeah health bars were definitely in the cards, didn't really take the time to experiment with them, though maybe I could glue some in post-hoc. There was barely a game design here, so my main fear was if people saw the health bars the optimal strategy would be obvious, thus there'd be nothing for the player to 'discover'. Ultimately it's just totally under-baked :)
Update: In version 1.1 I tweaked the numbers on the levels to be a bit easier
I was just doing stuff, and stuff happened :) I definitely started figuring out some mechanics, like combining cards to produce different creatures, though I never figured out why sometimes the spots went purple and disallowed me from placing anything. Also other times cards just left my hand to some discard pile by accident and I don't know why. Fun to look at!
Love the presentation and style and appreciate all the tutorial animations in the description - I still had a tough time figuring out the interactions unfortunately, part of the puzzle (?) but my brain don't work good right
Html version works great on android! (maybe that caused some interaction issues...)
Nice intro experience! I got stuck pretty quick, I was just trying to cover the spikes with the rocks, and the rock spawning station only spawned 2 when I thought I needed more to fill in all the spike pits, must have been doing something wrong. Good music too!
Great interface! I was able to rock with a touchscreen and a keyboard no problem. Art was very nice! loved the style - though for level design it was sometimes tough to figure out where the pits were. The timing and movement aspects felt like a side-show to the puzzle of figuring out how to solve the room, I almost wished for my guy to just auto-navigate instead of having to press the direction every square and watch him slowely slide around. Though definitely still a great submission! :)
