Good entry. The start is a little slow and annoying with the having to wait for the typing...but that is a small nitpick.

A simple and well polished experience!
@paroxysmal You're absolutely spot on about the typing. It's made worse by not having a restart option in the menu. I added the intro just so my friends would have some context when I sent it to them, but after reviewing a few games I immediately thought, "Oh no! People are going to have to sit through this every time they restart (if I'm so lucky they want to try again). This is my first LD though and I'll learn. Cheers!
Well done! I saw your comment about the intro so I'm sure you understand it's a little slow to start. The game is good though, nice concept and a fun challenge.

Nice entry! I would also have loved to be able to skip the intro since you can't play again without restarting the game and it gets a bit annoying having to wait for the intro again and again. I found it fun and challenging. Good work!
Well done for your first Ludum Dare! You made a decent game. The typing does delay things, but graphics looking good.
Pretty cool! I really like that it gets progressively harder over time.
well done! simple and challenging enough. I would have liked to have the option to hit 1, 2, 3, 4 to do each drop though, feels a little cumbersome with the mouse
Pretty fun! It's probably the tiredness from previous days, but it was pretty challenging to get the different falling speeds right. And I see they got very good at packaging tanks. Great game, especially what it seems to be your first LD. Hope you had fun, first LD was magical!
Fun & unusual core mechanic! Also congrats on your first game jam :)
Nice visuals & sound effects, the music also fits the mood quite well.
Agree with others that the intro should be shorter or, better, skippable.
I didn't completely understand how the scoring system works. In fact, it so happened that I had to leave for a few minutes after launching the game, and when I returned I saw a score of about 7000, without doing literally anything. So I guess the game needs some bugfixing or balancing, hard to know for sure :)

Simple but nice game, I liked it!
Sweet, my personal goal was 20000 points and I managed to reach it after a couple tries:

I was trying to find a good strategy, and what I finally went with was "He who controls medkits and tanks controls the war", as those two seemed to give the most amount of points, at least by how it felt to me. Of course medkits are the slowest and tanks are the fastest, making watching both of them at the same time a pretty fun challenge. I squandered a couple tanks and didn't think it would still be enough in my 20000+ run but I barely squeezed through.
So yeah, very fun gameloop, like I wrote, it's the type of game where you want to try again and again to find a strategy that works better to get more points. The different movement speeds of the trucks and the packages as well as the package count restrictions and the point system that also awards points for leftover packages resulted in a nice system where you can try a lot of different things to check what gives a lot of points. Very well-designed game, great job!
@jdah Noted. Thanks for the feedback!
@dzejpi I did have a ton of fun, thanks! Foldable tanks are the future! The fall speeds are different for each item, and the different "waves" of trucks have different speeds as well. So, it can definitely be challenging to time the falls correctly.
@lisyarus Art/music isn't normally my strength, so I'm glad to hear you liked it. After each "wave" you get points for unused crates. I went back and forth with the scoring (went away from using the leftover crates as a multiplier of the wave score but I don't remember why off the top of my head). So it was intentional, to discourage crate spam if you want the best scores. It's definitely something I would polish a bit more, given the time.
And dang it'd be so easy to change the intro, but that rises above a simple bug fix imo...so it stays until rating is done.
the game idea is pretty cool, but the intro takes a lot of time to go through, which is a bit annoying, and it feels too hard to gauge how much time it takes for the crates to fall down to the trucks, and the music gets a bit repetitive with time too. the art is really good tho, and the game does feel pretty satisfying, cool game!
@captaindreamcast Thanks for such a thorough review. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it and took the time to try out different strategies. You picked the one I used most often when playtesting.
@calicedev I was worried about the music. Thanks for the feedback!
Definitely a working game, though the pacing seemed really slow. I did figure out how to play by clicking on things, which expended resources that I couldn't get back and ultimately failed the first level. Would be nice to have a retry button handy.
@nathan-franck Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the pacing. My intention was to start slow to let the player figure out each type of crate dropped at different speeds. If I ever go back and polish, I'll be sure to look at that closer, though.
You're spot on about the retry button. It's a big regret of mine.
Neat little game! Since the different boxes don't fall at the same speed I would have make them all of the same size in order to be more clear/appearing for the player, aside from that great game!
Got impossible in the end, I sucked at it but it was fun. The sounds and visuals made it satisfying when you complete a level, even if you didnt do well
Nice game! I actually liked the intro, it was pretty cool. I also loved the tiny tank packaging. The gameplay itself was quite nice, although it could've used a short tutorial - the first thing I did was to press random buttons, and didn't realize what the game was about until I'd already lost most of my crates. Still, it was quite cool afterwards - it became very hectic very quickly, which was fun. I noticed that different things fell at different speeds, but couldn't really map out the fall speeds (besides tanks being the fastest) before the game ended - perhaps some sort of indicator would've helped? Other than that, good entry! Here's my final score:

@pauljs That's a good idea.
@nuin It was really hard for me to gauge difficulty after having played it so many times. I'm glad you had fun anyway :)
@frogman Thanks for the kind words! As I was saying above, it was hard for me to gauge difficulty. It's one reason I didn't include a lose condition. I wanted to make the game difficult/impossible to master but easy to complete. I do wish I would have made some tutorial text for the first wave, but I ran out of time. Cheers!
Interesting idea, it was fun trying to get the timing right for the different boxes. Also I didn't really mind the intro though you could have added a way to display the entire line of text when clicking so that players can read at their own pace. Congrats on your first LD :)
Fun idea, i did 21500, the score kept adding up on the final screen for like 10sec ahah. Only things was the speed difference between the different boxes. I guess it's because it's heavier. But it was hard to apprehend. Fun entry anyway, good job !
Pretty fun, the different items all having different weights to think about pre-dropping them is pretty difficult. Difficult to get right, but oh so satisfying if you get it correct. I think the later levels were not really possible, but almost spamming everything kind of helped. I found out that there was a limit to what you could drop this way.
You picked a really simple game mechanic, that hard to master, that's very cool! I also like that you do not loose when you didn't fill the truck completely. Solid game, good design, music just like from the old console, I like it. Good job!
This is a really fun little game! I liked the different weights of the packages and speeds of the trucks so you really have to get a feeling for it. The music is also nice and not annoying :)
PS: Thank you for including a pause menu, since I got an actual delivery while playing this game. Not the kind of stuff you are delivering though :D
interesting game! nice game idea,I spent a lot time on this game, nice work,,,wish there can be more content of this game
Nice and simple game mechanic, the game also looked good and polished.
There was a good amount of challenge in the game so I would do couple of runs to see how much score I can get. Online scoreboard would have encouraged even more playthroughs.
The sounds were fitting, but the music got old pretty fast. Maybe the song could have been a little longer or have ability to turn it off.
Simple but very addictive game! I have to admit that music hooks me a lot! The truth is that for 48 hours it is great. For the asking, maybe I would put some custom icons for each pack, the tank would be huge, ha ha. I can only congratulate you on your game, congratulations.
I love the music; it's easily my favorite part of this game. The art and sound effects are pleasing as well.
