Vintage SPACE Restaurant with AI by DGSpitzer 2021-10-05T01:07:50Z

This game is surprisingly in-depth for a 72 hour game jam! There's a lot to the system of giving food out repairing robots and you have utilized it greatly. This is really good!

Light Warper by SeaM00se 2021-10-07T12:59:33Z

@brusnika Yeah, I planned to have a bit more enemy variation but couldn't make anything in time. I planned to have some that may shoot like a splitter-bolt, or an enemy that would try to move behind you to hit you in the back. However, I did manage to hide one secret in the enemy's sprite, but I might have hid it too well, and I'd be surprised if anyone actually spent the time to find it.

A Gift in Good Faith by python-b5 2021-10-05T01:21:54Z

I really like the trade off of having the torch and the push attacks. Like, you can recharge the push meter to try again, but if you are carrying a gem you can't use it. Or, you can use a torch whenever, but only once. It adds a neat bit of strategy that I really like.

Abyss' Stare by Vinícius Pessoa 2021-10-05T00:55:21Z

This game was really fun! I enjoyed trying to escape the evil eye through some of the levels. The pixel art in the game was good, but I feel like I missed out on some. I couldn't get very far because the game was very difficult, like It took me forever to just barely get past the first level.

Proximity War by Ravenmages 2021-10-05T00:24:07Z

The wall-of-text tutorial window is a bit hard to read, but once I figured it out it was actually pretty fun!

LD54 — Limited Space

Busy Bar by Lou Bagel 2023-10-03T02:40:57Z

This is a really cool idea! Once I figured out what the three workers did more clearly, I had a lot of fun playing it. The pixel art was fantastic, totally one of the best from this jam that I've seen so far. I really wish there waws more content for this game... If you are willing, I can easily see this turning into a full game. Awesome job!

@aerial Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Especially the art style, since that was something I was a bit worried about when making it. Thank you for letting me know about the lag spike. It's something that I thought could happen, given how I manage pylons rather poorly, but I didn't have time to come up with a solution. I honestly didn't think anyone would play that long to encounter it lol.

@lou-bagel Thank you for the feedback! Thanks for letting me know about the UI issues. Maybe making it a bit more obvious that there are more things in the limits menu would be better. On top of that, you can actually hide that menu by pressing the button to the top-right of it (the one that you clicked to open in), but I guess I gotta work on my UI to make that more apparent. Thank you!

Moon Base Constructor by SeaM00se 2023-10-03T01:55:19Z

@zealous-coder Thank you for the feedback! I may go back and fix the pylon issue if I have the time... But for now I guess I gotta live with it. Yeah after thinking about it, I should have made the resource menu a gui bar on the top (like, little icons that are out of the way) instead of a huge menu. Would've been smart but oh well. I actually haven't heard about frostpunk until now... and I can totally see that now lol. Might check that game out ngl Thank you for playing!

@quasilyte Thank you for the feedback! While I have some problems with how I managed the UI, I'm happy with what I was able to do. I'm surprised about your comment on my music, since that was one of the more challenging parts of the jam for me. But, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Moon Base Constructor by SeaM00se 2023-10-06T13:54:47Z

@stmate03 I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much actually, because I didn't realize until you mentioned it that the web version is the one with the lag spike. I've been tinkering with the game to try to find where the lag spike is, and then boiled it down to maybe a hardware issue. However, I was testing on the windows version! Of course the one that people are going to play is the web version, and of course that one would have the lag spike issue sooner than the windows one... Thank you for helping me realize this lol.

Moon Base Constructor by SeaM00se 2023-10-09T19:06:53Z

@lcstark Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, that's exactly how the music works here. It plays for the first time when you place your first storage unit down, and then it plays again after each goal building is built. I meant for it to be always playing music, and for there to be more than one track. That way, it could fade in and out multiple tracks while building. But, I ran out of time and could only make 1. Better controls for the camera is something I totally wish I did, especially since I spent the time to add keyboard shortcuts to the UI buttons... Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Moon Base Constructor by SeaM00se 2023-10-10T00:44:13Z

@lcstark I was listening to music from Shapez.io and FTL while making it. So, I was aiming for something similar for a city-builder like game, but just colder and quiet I guess. But to be honest, I just wrote something and thought "Whelp, doesn't sound terrible!" four hours before the deadline lol

Attack of the Robot Crabs by Dovodx 2023-10-03T00:41:45Z

For a compo game this is really impressive! I didn't expect to see any FPS games in here... My only complaint is that it felt like my actual hitbox didn't match where my camera was at some points. The crabs would attack something far away from me and push me around without actually touching where my camera is.

TetraPolis by PassbyKamenRider 2023-10-03T01:51:36Z

This is a really neat idea! Combining a resource management game with something like tetris has so much potential. My biggest problem with this game, however, is that I could not for the life of me figure out how to destroy blocks. Like, something would be on fire or be diseased, and I couldn't get rid of it. Still though, having each piece be a different type of building that I have to allocate people to is an awesome idea. Great Job!

TOBISHA by aerial 2023-10-03T02:33:41Z

I really liked this one! The sound effects were really great, and I loved the art style. The game itself was fun too. I like how I have to take into account how much each one paid me on top of how big they were. And then having to defend them in a shooter was really cool. That made my 1Mb $99/d one really risky, since it could be easily broken. This is really good!

Mini Architect by Mr Bluecap 2023-10-03T02:14:54Z

This was really good! For a compo game it was absolutely fantastic. My only gripe is how some orders were straight up impossible (like, # of torture chambers > 3, and # of bloody rooms = 2) Other than that, I can really see this becoming a full game if you are willing to go through with it. Great job!

Shrinking Universe by Erroneous 2023-10-03T01:42:43Z

I really loved parts of the level design! The planets with the solar waves were really creative, using the shape of the planet to the game's advantage. It was a little confusing at first, but I ended up liking it. Nice Job!

NarrowLabs Rumble by stmate03 2023-10-03T02:06:52Z

This game is impressive for a compo game, let alone your first project, Nice job! I have a few things that I noticed though, and I'm just gonna start listing them: The menu was a bit difficult to look at; the bright green lines kinda made my eyes hurt (but that's really just a nitpick). And, during gameplay, a crosshair indicating where I'm going to shoot would be helpful. My only big issue is that the game kept crashing on me... Not sure what caused it. It might have to do with the eye lasers, since the game would crash some time after shooting certain objects or missing an enemy. Other than that, nice job!

Space Limiter Warp Drive by 2TheGameChanger 2023-10-02T02:08:46Z

I got 223,702 points. The game was fun! I the mechanics of how it's a bullet hell, but you want to stay as close to the projectiles as possible. It adds a great risk/reward system. It's good! One complaint I have is that the mouse controls don't feel 100% right. I found that I was in more control when I used my mouse compared to WASD, but the controls were very floaty and seemed inconsistent.
