The itch link doesn't seem to be available.
cool idea, but the guy is telling me to turn right and there's nowhere to turn? Does it just mean to be in the bottom lane?
@katastudios You can turn right after driving on first avenue for a while. It may take some time. We set the length of the road too long.
@nadia-pixel Use zip instead. Thank you for playing.
@pastmoments Zip is Okay. Thank for your playing.
@mofox ah ok cool I'll go again then
@katastudios Thank you for playing. There are 5 levels. We do not have enough time to make tutorial. I'm sorry for that.
I like the idea behind presenting different viewpoints and perspectives on the driving via the escape - graphics are cute too (reminds me of McPixel), well done!
@blushingcrow Thank for your playing! Hope you enjoy the game.
I pretty love this kind of graphic. It's very cute!! The theme "Signal" are greatly presented! Well done!
@boring-wayne1 Thank you very much!
Fun game with a neat idea behind it, took me a couple of tries to understand its all random :D. I immediately found a cheat, if the police is on your tail you just get out of the car and they will drive by, same if you are about to crash.
@juanrod707 Thank for your playing! It is a bug😅. I only write the collider between cars and cars and forget to write the similar between cars and players. We originally wanted player to do somethings according to commands while getting off cars. For example, players can change their cars to avoid police. However, we did not have enough time to do this part during the development. As a result, I forgot to pay attention to players while getting off cars. Hope you enjoy!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a way to leave this highway. No matter which route I chose, it was always the same. Still, I was able to appreciate your original approach. Keep it up!
I tried downloading Runnie.zip but I couldnt, as it was 404 not found and when I downloaded runnie (with the small r) I only got what seems to be not the full game? its only a blue background no other cars just me driving sadly! Wouldve loved to try your game out! :c
@miclefirst Did you get the intersection. Audio will guide you which way is right. You need to follow message to trun right or turn left at the intersection. You need to press button "W" or "S" while getting across intersections.
@miclefirst Which zip do you download. I seemed to upload the wrong zip after I fix some bugs.
@stealthorc I'm sorry for that. I uploaded wrong zip after fixing some bugs. Extremly sorry for that.
@stealthorc I've upload the true zip. Would you like to give another try and leave your valuable suggestions? I am looking forward to that.

I just gave it another go and I was really confused on what was going on and which signals to listen to. It wasnt really clear which were for me and which were the ones to the police as the first one said go straight go straight and then at when I went straight (and I got caught) it then played the sound for go right. The next run I knew to go right, but I think that line was just mistimed. After that in the second avenue I did not hear at all where I should go I only heard something about going left so I thought okay that was the only signal i got so I probably just go left? and that was wrong apparently. And also the part up until you get to intersection where you have to decide is quite long, I drove there for quite a while just dodging some barely visible cars (the street being black and the other cars also being black did not help here, making them some other color would've helped identifying them quickly!). And as the street was quite long to drive through I thought that it was quite easy and not that interesting to drive untill i reached the fateful intersection where I needed to decide where to go. I thought that maybe some police cars should be chasing you visible on the left side of your screen at the very start, as to indicate: You cant stop you must go full throttle and try to make up a distance to the police to then escape. Also the way it is right now there should be something more to be done to have the player interact/be busy with something while they are driving, maybe instead of having the radio frequencies set to just 1 2 and 3 you have a real radio with a turning nob and you have to dial in the actual frequency of things while driving? because just pressing 1 2 and 3 while driving felt quite easy and not all that difficult.
I think giving the player an easy mechanic like driving and dodging some cars that are easily visible so that I can focus on the radio and easily see them in my peripheral vision would be nice and that paired with the more demaning mechanic, like dialing in the radio and switching frequencies (maybe you get a note and you have to dial in one frequency and there you get the info that you need to frequency hop because otherwise the cops will know about you guys, so you search the next frequency and then the next etc until you found the right one and get to know where to turn right, left or go straigt maybe? That would round things up, because as it is right now its quite hard to understand what the actual signals are (just audibly it was hard hearing the actual words that I assume you recorded yourself? Not to blame you at all, just a friendly hint!) and then it was quite easy to drive and quite easy to switch between channels and I think it should be the otherway around: Make the mechanics harder and the information should be easy to get once you got the mechanics right!
Other than that I found the concept really cool, I dont know why you would want to exit the vehicle (that mechanic seems kind of out of place to me) but I did not have any crashes or something like that! Was cool playing your game!
@stealthorc Thank you so much for playing our game so seriously! It seems you didn't discover a little hidden mechanic of our game, haha. Channel 1 is the fugitive's accomplice channel, Channel 2 is the police channel, and Channel 3 is the news channel. However, the police can hijack the fugitive's channel. They will announce on Channel 2 that they've hijacked the fugitive channel and are about to send false information. During that time, all information on the fugitive channel is incorrect. After a certain period, the fugitive's accomplice will say that they have regained control of the channel and to stay tuned. We really didn't provide any tutorial for this, and we sincerely apologize.
Actually, the news channel information also has an impact. For example, we did implement a car accident in the middle of Third Avenue, as well as wildlife appearing on Fourth Avenue. But it seems no one has reached those parts yet, probably because the earlier levels are too long, haha.
Regarding the getting-out-of-the-car mechanic, our original idea was that players would need to get out to perform certain tasks. For instance, if the car runs out of gas, the player could switch to a car of a specific color and continue driving. So a level was supposed to involve more than just driving. Unfortunately, we just didn't have enough time to finish this game before the deadline. It's a real pity.
We will consider the radio operation — it is indeed too simple right now, and the content played on the radio is also a bit monotonous. Finally, thank you again so much for playing our game so attentively. Our sincere thanks!
Funny name and even funnier execution. Those hand graphics and voicelines give the game such a great, hilarious vibe. Beyond the humor, the core mechanic is really unique and works perfectly!
@skale Thank you ver much!
The design concept is quite good, making the police and criminal chase scenes even more intense and thrilling. The failure penalties are a bit too severe. If you hit a car, you will fail immediately or even close the game. This makes it less motivating for people to keep trying. Judging from the voice accent, could it be from a Chinese person?
@jerrywest You guess absolutely right. Is my pronunciation still not standard? Haha. I do not have enough time to make a restart button. Some objects are not destoried when scenes are changed. Moreover, the problem that the penalties are severe exists. We are considering to give players three chances. Thank for your playing!
Thanks for submitting the game to my stream. I enjoyed playing it a lot! Although I was definitely confused at some points who I need to listen to. I think in part it was also that I am sick and just had trouble processing the information, driving the car and commentating. I do love the concept and interpretation of the theme. A small but easily fixable problem I had that sometimes i didnt have enough time to react to cars, having the camera/player more left on the screen would be an easy fix.
@poweranze Thank for your playing! The first channel is the most important. The guy on the first channel will tell you the true intersection. However, the police sometimes will hijack the first channel after they say it on the second channel. Therefore, information on first channel will be wrong. Moreover, it is acctually difficult to play without tutorial. We will consider your suggestions. Anyway, extremely thank for your playing and streaming!
It's a very fun game! I was very confused because sometimes I would follow the instructions from my partner and still get caught, luckily I read the comments so I learned that the police can sometimes hijack your signal and know where you're going, so you need to not go that way. I thought that was pretty clever but did not understand that just from playing. I also took a long time to realize that my partner will tell me when he got the signal back, mainly because I could not understand what was being said most of the time, the accent is very heavy. :sweat_smile: But anyways, this is definitely one of the most creative ideas for theme I've seen in this jam!
@fupi I am extremly sorry for my accent and tutorial. All developers are from China and none of us speak English very fluently. Tutorial is acctually a very big problem and we indeed don't have enough time to do that. Thank for your playing!
@mofox Don't be sorry! I understand, I'm also not a native speaker
I enjoyed the games style quite a lot. I also enjoyed the movement of the car and all of that. A couple things I would suggest is that you don't have to quit the game after a fail, second I could not decipher the radio most of the time with the filters. Other than that I had a good time, good job!!!!
@gecko64 Thank for your suggestions! My accent is a little bit heavy and a lot of players pointed out this haha.
