Oh, cool! This looks interesting! The only thing is, I can’t see what’s in front of me because of the panels :D Maybe that’s intentional since you’re in a tank!
The controls didn't feel very responsive. I wish I didn't have to turn the wheel so much to walk or aim. Also, it would be great to be able to rotate the camera. I really liked the mechanics and the gameplay and the game overall, but I found myself struggling with controls quite a bit
Alright, this could be fun! If only I could get a hit before I get wrecked ':D
I liked the mechanics, but the current implementation is a bit too difficult for me. Turning the wheels gets annoying, as it is too slow and the accuracy of the action needs to be spot on or it starts to rotate the wrong way around. I was mostly running to the walls, not able to see the enemy.
The cannon aiming sights gives some idea how I should aim, but it seemed to be always off. In the end, when I got to shooting, the enemy was already hitting me and there seemed to be no way to defend myself, or avoid getting hit.
Anyway, good ideas here! I had fun trying to assume the position of the driver and cannon operator of the spider-legged tank :)
So cool! Very QWOP, I love how the game captures the chaos and stress of using such a tank :)
I love the idea of this game! Micromanaging a heavy device that moves on its own and franticly clicking through the menus! But I kinda agree, rotating these wheels really takes a lot of effort and makes movement a bit too restricted for my taste. :(
The setting of a world consumed by war and acid rain is truly atmospheric. The concept of salvaging old crab-tanks to fight this never-ending battle gives the simulation a fantastic, gritty feel.
Wow, absolutely incredible! Such an innovative concept! The whole experience was challenging, but I loved it. The movement mechanics are genius, and having to line up your shots while manually reloading the missiles makes the gameplay so unique and engaging.
An absolutely IMPRESSIVE project! Congratulations on creating something so original. Amazing work!
The game is cool! The controls are really interesting, but I’m not sure why there’s a third-person camera—it behaves in a rather strange way, and I couldn’t figure out how to rotate it. Honestly, it might even be more interesting if it were strictly first-person
@tosmaster @ya7on @duudel thanks for your feedback! Just uploaded a version with adjusted turning speeds for the body and turret as well as anchoring the camera to the turret, not the body.
Original version is still available and labeled as such to respect the LD rules
@fi7games first person was discussed but third person perspective helps to showcase the fantasy of a walking tank instead of a regular tank.
@juanrod707 Wow! Thanks. With new controls i could finish the game. Not only first enemy
Piloting a rusty crab tank through levers, switches and reload locks is a fun and original take, and the QWOP-like chaos sounds great. Turning the wheels seems a bit too fiddly, but I love the tactile UI idea!
Cool game!!! It is pretty hard but what can I expect when operating such a machine? Got one kill before I died at least:) Would be pretty cool as a co op game with one person handling the steering and the other the aim and taking turns fixing the other panels depending on who has the time. Great job!
I adore your concept! You came up with such a brilliant idea. Great job, your game is amazing!
This was very fun! Managed to kill all enemies, had a blast. Very good use of the theme, and sets the mood well. Would be nice to be able to glance around you a little bit, but what can you expect from an old machine like this :)
Great job!
Great game! Movement feels very clunky and shooting can be a bit tedious (like old tech lol). Sfx are a bit repetitive but overall its very immersive.
Really great execution of the whole "mouse controlled everything" thing! Nice work!
Interesting idea, but unfortunately I found it too hard to control. After several tries I did manage to kill one enemy. I died shortly afterwards, but I'll still claim the victory!
Maybe its a skill issue on my part but I found it a little difficult to manage everything and aim at the same time. There are just too many systems and its difficult to manage everything and a little overwhelming. Though it is intuitive, I didn't struggle with understanding what to do so much as actually executing lol. The controls felt a lil too unresponsive. I also got my camera stuck in a wall. Though overall the concept is great, I liked the audio, and the game is really immersive, just difficult.
