Cool concept, would love a way to move and stack boxes so i could see the destination without taking each one in hands

Haha! Nice concept. I really liked this. organizing all the parcels in such a small space without any shelving or highlighted areas is so confusing in a fun way! unfortunately i am not a fan of ai art, even tho i totally get why one might use it in a game jam with limited time. maybe just try some kind of shadowy figures next time? overall pretty good entry!
I like the little twist on the main mechanic to have the player make progress towards the end. (I'm wording this carefully not to spoil anything for others) Unfortunately I couldn't figure it out to the very end, I got a little inundated with the packages, I got one special item, wasn't sure if I could make further progress so I gave up. This game had a certain mood going for it and the voice lines added a lot to it, well done!
@trsthstrs unfortunately being a 2-person team we couldn't find the time to make our own 2d art that fast. Good call with the workaround of the shadowy figures, still, it is a challenge to generate and edit images so that the style is consistent.
@poshdan thanks for not spoiling!! There are in fact 3 ways of finishing the game, the whole plot is implemented but you have to use some deductive thinking.
I think I got into a similar state as PoshDan, I saw some hints towards a story developing but it didn't seem to go anywhere, either I got into some kind of bug or vastly underestimated how many packages I needed to deliver to advance the story further.
I accidentally chose the wrong floor due to an input mistake and that really threw my package delivery situation for a loop; might be good to have some kind of safeguards there (perhaps adding a "go" button to confirm your choice which allows for a reset button as well)
I dig the atmosphere and theme. Absolutely feels like something sinister is lurking under the covers, I might give it another shot later to see if making a different choice there advanced things further.
Nice work!
Hey! We had similar loudspeaker work-related announcements in our own game! This game felt like it started a bit slow; I was going through the motions for 20 packages without seemingly any changes in gameplay or difficulty. I like the concept of the game though! There's _just_ enough space to try to organize the parcels in the elevator and I enjoyed the additional complication from the oddly shaped packages. The voice acting was a great touch, along with the look of the 3D environment. Great job, team!
Cool idea! It really starts to get messy after a few minutes of playing but the fact that I had to remember and keep track of the parcels myself really clicked with me. The only thing that this game needs is some sort of a stacking and organizing system, so the parcels don't stay thrown away in the elevator, but other than that, it is a great game made in this short time. Congratulations!
Cool game! Very cohesive, good use of the prompt, and fun to play. I like that there is more than one way to win.
This would work really well in VR. I appreciate the web version and that it ran so smoothly. My only feedback would be on the throwing mechanic. I found it really hard to lob the box at an angle that would get it into the window. Maybe that was intentional.
The overall mood was really well done! The colors and soundscape created a really great atmosphere.
I eventually came to realize this probably goes on forever when I couldn't see the elevator floor anymore xD. Like others have said, great job with the atmosphere. I do wish i could have made it fullscreen but that might have just been an issue on my end. Great game!
Great game! Delivery chaos in limited space! Adding some story in routine improve this game to some Paper Please level.
Very nice game, loved the depressing mega corporation theme, especially when they told me due to my hard work the CEO can buy more stuff, very realistic. :clown:
This game sets a captivating mood. However, it's marred by glitchy code interaction in the UI, detracting from the overall experience.
Cool game, expected the smuggled packages to progress the story in some way towards an ending. Didn't notice the smuggled packages were not resetting my timer till it was too late
@jvolonte they do progress the story, its all about balancing the story without neglecting your job, there is a story ending :)
Honestly super refreshing game, I agree with some other comments that it would be cool in VR. Great work on the music, and the voice-over was awesome.
@dan-burns thank you so much!!
Although it has a slow start, it was fairly fun. I quickly lost track of the boxes because it was hard to see where they would land after throwing.
I struggled a bit at the start to figure out how to exactly progress - I tried to throw the boxes on top of the counter instead of over it.
As an owner of a VR headset I'd say it would probably be a lot cooler in VR :D
Really cool game. At first I thought it would get boring after some time to simply get the packages delivered without drowning in them but then the packages with the extra message appeared. Really nice work!
Neat little entry, great work! My only feedback is when the package is picked up, it should "auto inspect". It'd also be nice to be able to choose the floors while holding a package. Keep on making games!
I liked the mood :-)
Great sound and nice illustrations, but I think you could put more divesity on that!
A great game! It is kind of addicting, but it would be great if we could press the elevator while holding the package
great concept , great refreshing game
nice game mood and graphics ! love this game art style, while game design is kind of boring, wish for more content ,nice work xD
I kept playing for a good while!! Really solid gameplay loop. Part of me wanted it to be easier to read the packages so I wasn't picking them up and putting them down, but part of me liked that all the juggling and remembering floors was part of the gameplay. The music is great!! And the downtrodden feel of the office really comes through. Great job!
Great mood! I appreciated the effort you put into making the task interesting. The variety in packaging, and that some of them were marked with the destination. The corporate voice overs were funny and effective at setting the mood.
At one point I found a box with two destinations (one in a note on the back), and that was very intriguing. Unfortunately, I ended up losing it among the mess on the floor!
I'd love to see this go further! :D
On a personal note: using AI for art is a smart way to get your game going fast, and with unique assets, but I'm not sure how I feel about rating the graphics of the game in that case!
Took me a while, but I managed to not get fired! this was a wild ride.
Really well done. Love the music and sounds and the graphics work very well. Gameplay felt quite decent as well, perhaps it could be even more interesting if one had to inspect the actual package and find the floor number printed on it for example.
Also I managed to bug the elevator when I punched in a wrong floor which soft locked the game, I could only add more numbers there :D
