Bolt Action by recursor 2025-10-08T00:43:06Z

I got hooked, to be honest — the arrow-catching mechanic is really tough at first, but once you get the hang of it, it feels awesome :D

There aren’t many enemies, and I’d love more interaction with the environment, but there’s definitely potential.

Zombody's Business by Budaniel 2025-10-09T19:53:23Z

This isn’t a zombie apocalypse — it’s a dubstep rave of little green dudes where you spit watermelon seeds at them :D

But a big downside is that you have to download an archive instead of playing in the browser. You could’ve also added some upgrades or another weapon for variety.

Home Sweet Island by Archimagus 2025-10-08T13:27:54Z

Hey! Just wanted to drop a few words. First — it’s really cool that you let players set up the area around the campfire. I made mine super cozy by gathering everything I could find. Second — the game basically has bunny hopping, and it’s so much fun jumping around the mountains :D I was also impressed that you went the extra mile and added death by water — with animation and effects! And there’s even an inventory!

I saw a really harsh comment here, and honestly, I think that’s unfair. Making something like this with just two people in only three days is awesome. Don’t let negative feedback drag you down — it’s clear you tried to come up with your own idea and bring it to life in such a short time. Everyone starting out in game dev deserves support, not random hate.

Keep going — you’re on the right track!

Recycling War by FiveCyclops 2025-10-24T21:07:58Z

Now that’s an idea :D

Impressive to code a pretty solid AI in such a short time. If I were to add anything, it’d be upgrades and boosts that help you do it faster or slow the opponent down.

Dragon Hoard by pres2300 2025-10-24T21:59:09Z

Oh damn, I’m a very good dragon dad. I didn’t let anyone steal my eggs. Humans, beware!!!

Fun, fast-paced, even a bit reaction-based. Simple, I’d like more gameplay, but I’m giving it a like for the effort!

Gas Collector by stuckne1 2025-10-09T20:44:47Z

ChatGPT сказал:

I really liked the graphic style you chose. As for the rest — I have a few questions. Why make the location so large and empty? I’d make it smaller but more detailed — maybe add some locked doors, key searching, or even a few enemies to get in the way.

Also, in version 1.1 of the build, the cursor and the screen center are shifted slightly to the right. And yeah, not many people will download an archive just to play — I’d recommend uploading a web version next time, so more people will try it out. The download requirement tends to scare people off (mostly out of laziness).

Trash Dash by UnitedFailures 2025-10-09T19:02:13Z

Oof, jumping over those gaps was quite a challenge — every time I jumped, I tensed my abs and grunted, but I eventually got the hang of it :D

It’s fun, though! Reminds me of the Google dinosaur game you get when there’s no internet. I’d also suggest adding a simple end goal, like reaching 2000 points — just to give players something to aim for.

Loot Lagoon by ChuChuGeralt 2025-10-24T17:25:57Z

The music is the first thing that grabs you. I’d also note that as we get better, the game gets harder, which is a good way to keep the player interested.

However, I didn’t figure out right away how to collect the gems; I’d like to see a clearer implementation. And the music is very good and dynamic. Did you make it yourselves?

Light Runner by Avi 2025-10-09T20:49:13Z

Very meditative — I just relaxed and drove around. Sharing what I ended up with :)

Racoocoo by Tamino Laub 2025-10-09T20:33:34Z

The cover art looked cute — honestly, I expected something a bit different, but I still liked the game! I’d suggest adding a bit more variety during collection or some extra challenges in the level. But overall, really well done for just three days — great job! :)

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-09T20:23:27Z

The heroine’s thighs are awesome, and the art style is great too. Tried playing with one hand, but unfortunately, you need at least two hands here. Speaking seriously, I’d switch the controls from QWE to the mouse because it’s really hard to move around the level using the ropegun, which is the main mechanic here.

Tax Collector Millenium Overdrive by elq 2025-10-07T10:51:18Z

The visual style and music create a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the game is very short, and I wish you’d try making something in a different genre.

Maybe an idea like this: the last hour on a colony, where you need to calm people down by talking to them and choosing the right approach so they’ll agree to come with you. Basically, you already have all the mechanics for that — I’d love to see you make something like this :)

*We’d be happy if you check out and rate our game too ^-^*

Trash Catchers by mira 2025-10-08T20:02:23Z

Thumbs up for the art, music, and story. The idea is cool too — it would be even better if the rope could get tangled on the rocks and pull the ships back.

Also, the dragon comes out really fast and suddenly — that’s why I lost twice.

But overall, really great job, guys :)

Kings Orders by Dannyk1994 2025-10-24T19:37:41Z

Good implementation of the game jam theme. A strategy-like game where you send people and gather resources. It reminds me of VOLCARIS: Ashen Secrets. Thumbs up for that.

I’d like to see an animation when upgrades are applied so it’s clear something changed. At first I didn’t even realize anything had improved. A sound cue would work too. As for audio, I don’t think the music fits. Though the overall tone is jokey, so that’s probably why you chose it. And yes, the flexing trees are great.

Duck Dealer by LucaVazz 2025-10-07T09:48:33Z

I liked it — I felt like a duck hitman šŸ˜„

Overall, the concept is cool, but I noticed a few things.

The biggest one is that you can lock the cursor just a bit below the center (where there are usually lots of ducks), spin around with A and D, and click — then you have a 100% chance to catch a duck with no chance for them to escape.

Also, some ā€œmerchantsā€ offer a deal twice for one duck — meaning I get twice the money. I really feel like I’m playing a full-on criminal here šŸ˜‚

I tried three times to collect the whole collection, but those damn cops… they keep catching me, and I can’t figure out how to tell them apart šŸ˜…

Maybe that’s why I’m a bad criminal. But nice job — the game is fun! We’d be happy if you check out and rate our game too ^-^

Collect-o-maniac by Surfa 2025-10-07T10:21:48Z

*God bless you guys* — I laughed so hard! Thank you for making my day.

The mini-games are really funny. Though, if I nitpick a bit, some are super easy while others are really hard — I’d love a bit more balance. For example, in the one where you’re supposed to pick up trash with a stick, the stick mostly just scatters the trash instead of helping collect it (at least for me XD). But I think that’s because of the crazy controls… just don’t tell me my hands are the problem :D

Also, the art style is cool, and the voice acting too — great job!

We’d be happy if you check out and rate our game too ^-^

The soul collector by Kit Gorn 2025-10-09T18:40:11Z

Beat it twice — the second time I speedran it without killing anyone, sliding down that long icy pole. Do I get a prize? Finished it in under a minute! :D

Gobblin' Günther by Crygos 2025-10-09T15:12:39Z

I had an issue with the controls too, but I found a way to fix it — you need to have your Windows keyboard layout set to ENG. On other layouts, movement doesn’t work, except for jumping.

It also wasn’t immediately clear that items can be combined. I’d suggest showing that in the game at the start — I saw it mentioned in the description, but it would be much clearer if it appeared in-game.

That said, the game really hooked me — it’s fun! I died about seven times before finally crafting the magic sword. Even had two swords… and dropped both of them right before the end :D

Archive of Memories by SĆria Games 2025-10-08T13:37:37Z

Just a quick note for everyone rating games:

While exploring entries, I noticed this user leaving very harsh, non-constructive comments on others’ work (see screenshot).

I’m not here to tell you how to rate their game — that’s up to you. I just think it’s worth seeing how this person speaks to fellow devs.

It’s important that the jam stays a positive space where creators can use feedback to improve, grow, and find their audience. Simple insults can crush beginners’ motivation and stop them before they discover their potential.

**Let’s keep this a supportive place that helps developers learn and push forward instead of tearing them down.**

Experiment 42 by iskander 2025-10-07T10:42:28Z

Overall, thumbs up for the effort — I’ll try to point out the obvious downsides while ignoring the ā€œroughnessā€ of the build.

The sounds should be quieter — the ticking timer is like a knife to the ears. Items you can pick up need an outline so they’re easier to notice.

I think you probably spent a lot of time on the food/water/inventory and crafting systems, but you could’ve skipped those and focused more on level design and adding collectible notes around the complex to explain what kind of experiment is happening. That way, the game could be more about escaping the facility where we’re trapped and discovering what happened.

Also, a very important tip for the future: it’s better to upload the game to run in the browser, because the chances of people downloading an archive and playing are really low — speaking from experience :D

But still, the effort is visible — great job!

*We’d be happy if you check out and rate our game too ^-^*

Essential Factors by Abyssjac 2025-10-09T18:52:34Z

I really liked the core mechanics inspired by traditional farming games — it’s a great combat game. I just wish there were a short intro window before the start explaining what’s going on and how to play.

I had to click around for quite a while before realizing that you need to ā€œplantā€ different orbs to charge your weapon. But I honestly didn’t quite understand what the other things are for, or why some of the slots are glowing.

Planet Extraction by Aviv Levy 2025-10-09T17:03:41Z

Nice implementation of the gathering theme — it really gives off a bit of a Factorio vibe. I’d suggest adding more upgrades, especially for the drones, since it was actually faster to collect the needed resources by hand than to wait for them to do it.

If you’re planning to keep developing the game, I’d recommend revisiting and refining that part in more detail. I’d definitely love to see a continuation :)

NOMAD by kukaracila215 2025-10-09T19:21:45Z

Thumbs up for the atmosphere — and that T-posed monster honestly made me laugh more than it scared me šŸ˜„

But the mix of 2D and 3D elements — respect, I really like that style.

It wasn’t clear at all that there’s a hunger mechanic; I only figured it out from the description. And the fact that we start shaking when hungry felt a bit strange too :D Maybe I’m an alien — do humans really shake from hunger? Who knows XD

Geo-Breaker by HollowTsun 2025-10-24T19:24:27Z

I bankrolled the dealers with various gems, I’m pleased :)

Simple gameplay but good. Interesting implementation of the transitions between screens and the way you sell gems and junk. Not many upgrades. But everything is solid and finished, that gets a like!

StarShard(ā—ā—ā—!!!FUll VERSION ON ITCH.IO!!!ā—ā—ā—) by kolaz koleso 2025-10-24T18:59:04Z

First, props to whoever made the animations and the music. They’re excellent, and so are the transitions from the menu to the game, as well as the intro (scene setup).

During gameplay I noticed it’s too hard to read the future trajectories of asteroids and other objects. I also didn’t realize that fuel is the green triangles; I thought the white barrels were fuel. I also noticed the asteroids’ colliders are larger than the asteroids themselves, so visually I slipped past but the game registered a collision.

Bone Hunt! by Gaverion 2025-10-24T17:59:32Z

Clack-clack-clack, I’m a messy skeleton, I lost all my bones and now I have to find them :)

The concept is insanely cool, big plus for that. However, I could find only 10 bones, the rest hid from me. I’d like the skeleton to glow or rattle when the next bone is nearby. There’s also a music volume setting, but there’s no music in the game :D

I’ll consider it post-irony.

Cluster Claw by Jawdan 2025-10-09T20:06:08Z

At first, I tried carefully building turrets around myself, but then I realized it was pointless and hard to control — I started spinning all over the place :D

The mechanics are cool, and the idea is great! I’d just love to see a bit more responsive ship controls, but overall — awesome job!

Step-racing by okEly 2025-10-07T18:12:42Z

I liked it — the idea of a turn-based racing game feels unusual and fresh. I’d love to understand better how the mechanics work, especially when it comes to movement and overtaking. And don’t be lazy — add an explanation of what the boosts actually do! :)

The Internet Collector by YibiRabbit007 2025-10-09T19:41:11Z

I felt like a hacker — but the kind who has no idea what they’re actually doing :D Still, the level of detail in the game is amazing. Awesome job, guys! :)

Mineral Sweeper by gwhyang 2025-10-08T20:19:44Z

Very meditative — I got totally hooked. I didn’t quite understand how the upgrades work, but the music is great, really relaxing.

Tide Warden by Sofie SHI 2025-10-09T17:11:35Z

I couldn’t find the game itself, but I checked out the video — and props for the editing, that was some slick work :D

Okay, jokes aside — it looks like a metroidvania-style game, though it’s hard to tell exactly what’s happening just from the video. I noticed it can only be opened on macOS, unfortunately.

Also, what’s going on with the boss? How do you defeat it, and what are those abilities shown at the top?

RIPOFF by 5H08 2025-10-24T21:19:16Z

I liked the atmosphere and the visual style the developers were aiming for. The background beat is a win too, props to the beatmakers. You could add merchants so we can trade the items we collect and use the money to buy upgrades like health, a radar, etc.

Limb by Limb by Electric Sun 2025-10-07T17:29:54Z

Props for the level design and the thoughtful layouts — really nice work! I love the idea that the cyborg can break apart and we can control the pieces.

But I’d rethink the part where we can also fall apart — for example, after we get killed it’s just a game over. It would be cooler if, when we’re destroyed, we had to reassemble ourselves piece by piece, not only in scripted moments.

Roots of Sorrow by Solvenoff 2025-10-09T17:17:53Z

@8212games, Good question! Without giving any spoilers, I’ll just say this — the game has multiple endings, and only the most dedicated players will be able to find them ;)

Roots of Sorrow by Solvenoff 2025-10-10T17:33:01Z

Hi there! We want to send a huge thank you from our whole team to everyone who’s been sharing such warm and kind comments about our game — we really appreciate it! Big hugs to you all, and thank you so much for playing our game! :)

@100th-coin, Special thanks for recording your gameplay — even though the resolution wasn’t the highest, it actually added a bit of extra discomfort, which kind of worked in favor of full immersion :D

It was really fun watching you trying to figure out what exactly was laughing. The game has some unique objects that add to what’s happening on screen — you can get closer to them and listen. ***Also, you haven’t discovered everything yet, the game is a bit deeper than it seems ;)***

Archi's sensles adventure by Igojka 2025-10-07T09:33:58Z

For some reason, I can’t get past the guard robot no matter how many times I click. Restarting doesn’t help either. But the art is cool — I like the paper-like style.

And the robot is cute :D

We’d be happy if you check out and rate our game too ^-^
