I liked it — I felt like a duck hitman 😄
Overall, the concept is cool, but I noticed a few things.
The biggest one is that you can lock the cursor just a bit below the center (where there are usually lots of ducks), spin around with A and D, and click — then you have a 100% chance to catch a duck with no chance for them to escape.
Also, some “merchants” offer a deal twice for one duck — meaning I get twice the money. I really feel like I’m playing a full-on criminal here 😂
I tried three times to collect the whole collection, but those damn cops… they keep catching me, and I can’t figure out how to tell them apart 😅
Maybe that’s why I’m a bad criminal. But nice job — the game is fun! We’d be happy if you check out and rate our game too ^-^

Love the different quack sounds — they add so much charm! The watercolor style is an awesome idea. Took me a bit to realize I can’t click the ducks that are too far away, but it’s really impressive how deep the gameplay goes, so many mechanics! The undercover police duck was hilarious 😄 Awesome job!

@solvenoff @doridie Thank you for your great feedback :duck::yellow_heart:
Also thank you for snitching on the duck buyers - we just pushed a fix, so you can sell each duck only once
The undercover police ducks are very good at being undercover indeed - but they can be spotted. Take a close look at the animation on the police screen, it contains a hint :eyes:

First of all "Quack". I like the art, it gives the game a nice style, and the quack is also very nice (except the first one that was really loud for me ^^ ). Was also suprised how nuch mechanics there were, Great entry for the Jam.

A very magical duck catching game. But sometimes clicking on the duck will not respond, and I don't know why. Although I didn't understand it very well, the calls of various ducks were really funny.

@ira-baciu @lehmy @eggnisi Thanks for the quacking feedback :duck::yellow_heart:
Sometimes a duck is too far away to reach it for collecting - you can only collect a duck if it is highlighted when hovering your mouse over it.
Very adorable game, all I can remember right now is “Quack,” lol. The art is super cute, and the concept is great. In my opinion, it might be even better if the quack sound could play automatically instead of having to click, it just a small thought. Keep it up, it’s a really nice game!

I find hilarious that everybody in the park are looking at us and are asking for ducks haha. Also loved that one suave sfx that pops once in a while, this "Couac... :smirk:" gave me big [Moto Moto vibes](https://madagascar.fandom.com/wiki/Moto_Moto)
Overall cool concept!
If you keep the game only panning with no walking, I could see this game 100% mouse controlled, felt like the keyboard was diminish the fact that ducks can run away when afraid.
Quack! Cute game, great watercolor work. I love the various random quacks. I clicked some ducks like crazy, but nothing happened, I guess they were too far away.

This game was really cute! The undercover duck ran across my screen and with the popup I thought I caught a legendary duck, only to be caught, that is a fun addition!
I spent quite a bit longer than I expected on this game, especially just clicking my mouse for quack sounds..
I'd recommend adding a thought bubble above people with their preferred duck, that way we don't have to click and wait for their conversation.
good entry!

Let's be absolutely honest: the duck sounds on every click are fantastic and I love them. I did get busted back to the start a couple of times but managed to get all the ducks in the end. Charming game, I wish there was a grid or clearer UI for the trenchcoat though.
I loved this! The duck noises are amazing, the art is very charming, and I had a lot of fun collecting all the different ducks. The fact that they are stored in your coat is hilarious 😂

I’m really impressed by how many mechanics and systems are in this game - and that they all actually work! The different “parks,” the inventory system, the dialogues, and so on. Great job on managing the scope, I'd say! :D The audio is fantastic, and the hand-painted assets look beautiful. I'd love to see the ground and sky also use hand-painted textures - it would really help keep the visual style cohesive. I think I'd also appreciate a simple “click to skip dialogue fade-in” option, or maybe just a slightly faster fade-in speed. That might just be a personal preference, though. Overall, a really nice entry - I like it a lot! And big thumbs up for using Godot!
Never thought that watercolor paint could be used in a game like that. Good game! Quack quack quack quack quack.
ive always wanted to steal ducks at the park, so this game speaks to me.
i saw this game on the Ludum Dare page while we were all creating, and loved your idea to add watercolor physical images as game tokens, and you did NOT disappoint my imagination, and incredible idea for an art alternative.
game play was very solid and enjoyed it a lot.
the quacks did scare Me they were very loud for me. sadly, the space did not work for the text, so lots of quacks because I had to click on other than that fantastic game
