I really liked the art, it totally reminded me of the platformers I used to play on the NES, music included! The final boss felt impossible to beat for me, but I loved the twist of collecting body parts, didn't see that coming!

kristian-kurktchiev 2025-10-06 22:27

Sick game - cool concept, cool twist on the theme

prodcautious 2025-10-06 22:31

Love the vibe! I would have never thought of re-collecting my limbs to fit the theme, but I love it! The differing sprites for the variations of limbs were a nice touch : )

razerlazer 2025-10-06 22:32

I actually had a similar idea with collecting body parts, which is cool. It felt like there weren't enough checkpoints since I would respawn with only a leg after getting an arm and another leg, and the spiky enemy just runs straight to you and just stands there which makes him hard to bait/kill.

This is really well done. And also your first gamejam?! whouw. Congratz

It reminded me of Duke Nukem 2d from the 90's.

I love how it all starts like a normal platformer, teaching the player how to play before taking it all away so you know what to play for. It gives a sense of urgency. Audio, graphics and story are well done. I don't know how to make it better and I don't have peeves to share for now. I will finish this game later, I spent already way to long on your entry haha

agnira 2025-10-07 13:55

Really cool concept, well done. The inputs are a bit weird to get at first but the game is easy to hop on aside that. I really liked the differents ennemies, but the final boss was way too hard for me. So sad I couldn't finish the game.

Props for the level design and the thoughtful layouts — really nice work! I love the idea that the cyborg can break apart and we can control the pieces.

But I’d rethink the part where we can also fall apart — for example, after we get killed it’s just a game over. It would be cooler if, when we’re destroyed, we had to reassemble ourselves piece by piece, not only in scripted moments.

kit-gorn 2025-10-07 17:51

What an unexpected twist! Well done

syphorce 2025-10-07 22:24

Interesting concept and it was pretty fun early on. I got frustrated after I died the 3rd time by falling into a pit that I was unable to jump out of.

ludumdaredevil 2025-10-08 02:54

Really fun game. Mine had a similar concept but a very different approach. The animations are great!

radjax 2025-10-08 04:06

This was a lot of fun! That final boss was a doozy, glad I was able to finally beat him. Really cool concept reforging yourself and slowly introducing mechanics. Great work!

hu-dongzhi 2025-10-08 09:09

非常帅的画面,玩法也很有意思:D 但是难度上似乎跨越有点大

2025-10-08 09:30

gamplay is good but the game is kinda hard

iakovboy 2025-10-08 09:31

Frigus graphics et adversarios, suus ' frigus, quod ostendit mores scriptor capabilities statim, et tunc lectus munera. Moneo te ut melius locum serves puncta, secreta adde, et loca nota quae in momento aliquo colore attingi non possunt.

Loved the design of the main character! The final boss really had me tweaking but I did it and escaped! XD had a 29 minute clear time! Really clean and solid entry :)

ciphereo 2025-10-09 06:17

A really cool game!

mikhailne 2025-10-09 06:56

A fun idea. Nice visuals and gameplay. Just the controls were a little unusual.

salm 2025-10-09 12:15

Great gameplay for a LD Jam. The theme is good. I love the twist and level design. But the boss fight is a bit to difficult for me >_<

happysealgames 2025-10-09 14:16

Good game! I liked the art and the overall concept. The 'Z' key for jump felt a bit unusual to me and the boss fight was a little tough. Besides that, great job !

annie-owl 2025-10-09 23:20

What an amazing metroidvania! Every mechanic feels polished and enjoyable. And I really love the fact, that you give us the opportunity to play around with the teleportation mechanic at the very beginning, so it's easier to understand how the final boss works and moves! Also, is the boss's sound effects a reference to RotMG?

I want to say that I loved every moment of the game, but the final part was a bit disappointing :pensive: Trying to find a way out of the maze without a map and under a stress of a timer isn't very fun.

But that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy my time in the game! Still love every other aspect of it, great job!

And here is my final time. I spent so much time running around at the final part

This interpretation of the theme is unique. Did you immediately think of collecting your own body parts or how did this come to pass? I am generally curious.

Anyway - there are some gripes i have with the gameplay: I hate the keybind choice!!! Most people are at this point just too accustumed to wasd to ever switch back to arrow keys. And even if we go to use arrow keys - why would i ever need a jump button that is on different part of the keyboard? Just let me use the up-key! I constantly switched shooting and jumping by mistake.

This is by far my biggest problem (as this unhinged paragraph probably showed) but there are some other minor ones too: The edges of platforms feel very unforgiving with their collision especially when jumping late or from below. The bossfight is really hard - i could only kill it when it got stuck in a wall. After the boss an default checkpoint would have been great. And the insta death from the teleport into wall is a bit too punishing for my taste.

Ok now i wrote a lot of negative things, but mainly because the feel of the game was actually great as it had the mood of one of the early metroids, and the points i raise seem to be easy fixes. To me the fun i had was just always slightly lowered by the frustration over the controls.

The size of the world and the depth of the mechanics is truly impressive for a one dev entry! I liked it a lot but i am just reaaaally nitpicky.

smerdyaisaurus 2025-10-10 16:52

so i beat the game twice and i can say that's one of the most cool games i played in ludum, but i think that teleportation is a little useless and pretty risky to use but still a great game

skel3ton 2025-10-10 21:16

wow i love metroidvania.. this is very good entry... i cant beat boos... i need more than 3 live so i will not beat your game and its a little dissapointing for me... but still, one of the best games I played this LD

parkuhrmd 2025-10-11 09:17

This was really good! The first boss was a bit hard with no training, but in the end, the second boss fight was even more rewarding because of it! The escape at the end was also very exciting :)

bloodbane 2025-10-11 14:19

Good short metroidvania! I kept getting beaten by second boss until I worked out how to defeat it. The final upgrade was kinda tricky but it's great if you know how touse it properly. Well done!

stephenwhoskins 2025-10-14 05:52

This is perfect. I totally went after all my body parts to get myself reassembled and acquired new abilities as I went along the way. I got better as I learned the rooms through revisiting. I'm a sucker for Metroidvanias. This was a good use of the theme. I gave this 5/5s across the board!

marks 2025-10-16 14:29

I was surprised by so much content and polish put into a 3-day jam, very cool part collecting mechanic, amazing work on this entry! Loved the idea of the boss using the body parts against the player, curious to see how that would work with other parts.

Though, I felt the navigation could feature a minimap but the clever placement of the body parts definitely helped out navigating the ending sequence, nice work!

danicoredj 2025-10-19 13:16

it bytifwl geem!!!

5h08 2025-10-20 02:30

Always loved compact metroidvanias in game jams. This is awesome. The 2nd boss encounter was a bit hard though, took me a couple of tries.

u-238 2025-10-24 17:31

Music is absolutely amazing!
