Links please!
The art is very good. And I really like the whole UI like it's on a computer or something. The narrative was well written. I kind of ran into the problem though of having to replay and figure things out in a trial and error style though. Either way though good job!
The sound is epic and the art is stunning! I am not a fan of purely clicking mechanics but this game did a good job!
Nice sound and graphics. A bit painful to have to start all over again each time. The full package is tasteful.
This was an intense game, the art is immaculate. I really enjoyed playing it. I didn't get all the endings though. But really well done.
This is a good game, I got very engaged and wondered who was sending the mysterious message... Could you give a hint about the easter egg? I am really curious about what the easter egg is
Well the game seems to be right on theme! I think it's far too intelligent and clever of a game for me though! It all seems waay over my head! It looks amazing though, the art work, wow!
@pralista sure! Hahaha the hint is: imagine for 10 seconds that you are a very anxious person, and the OS response is very, veeery slow.
I hope you find it hahaha (it's an absurd easter egg btw hehe)
@bashura @danguri-cat links uploaded! ♡ I hope you enjoy the game!
@carkh @weirdbitgames @alyssa-sanden @michael-harris @kruger-game-studio Thank you all for playing ♡.
The art I may say (as is in the description) was made with Midjourney AI and then it was curated and edited by @juanrod707 to have the visual consistency. It was fun and insteresting but it was also very hard to get. You have to know how to actually use it.
Any ideas you have as developers to avoid the frustration of starting over every time you get an ending? Maybe start from the first alert message?
@debotheaux Periodic checkpoints would probably help. Maybe after X number of steps you save the game. That being said, this is a common issue (my entry had the same problem haha).
Really nice visuals. Even with using AI stuff, I guess it still requires some time and work to get the right things out of it. In general I like the idea but I had some problems to continue, it was also quite trial and error for me. I don't know how difficult it would be to implement but maybe some kind of rewind function could also be a solution.
Ran this on Linux wit WINE no problem. Loved the whole design and interface. Did get kinda stuck though on the second invitation. Seems like a lose no matter whether I accept or decline, after having exhausted all other options. Probably just me who's missing something.
As others said, maybe some checkpoints would make repeat playthroughs less repetitive.
I'm glad to see developers using emerging technologies to create games! The visuals in this game are also very impressive. I hope the development team will continue to work hard and create more excellent game titles! Keep up the good work!
@michael-harris @mar-zockmeister that's a great idea, its no difficult to implement! beacuse everything is reactive to "events" and objects takes into account events that have already been executed. So it's a matter of a nice rewind animation or user feedback, removing the events executed up to that point and re-executing them. Thanks!
@snesgaard thank you for playing it! Try to not consult with caelia until u have saved the misterious phone number :D
@yuriscat thank you so much! The idea is to continue developing this game, since the story is actually much longer hehe :')
@debotheaux Sure! I'm looking forward to seeing the full version of the game in the future too! Please be sure to let me know when it's released! Best of luck to you and your development team!(o°ω°o)
Great controls, but maybe the clickables should be more distinct. Cool puzzle and the story
I had a really fun time trying to discover all the different endings. Overall, a really cool game
I!love!it!I want to buy it!
Really really nice game, though a little bit hard
Interesting plot that kept me playing through all the endings I could find. I couldn't find what to do with the DeliverApp though.
Cool concept! The progression of events is a bit abrupt, maybe first give the player some smaller things to think about/ make decisions and then increase the tension with the evil text, right now it feels like it all comes down to a single choice and the game can end very quickly.
Nice work getting such consistency out of Midjourney, I know how tricky that can be. If it wasn't for the unintelligible text, I might have assumed this was all human-created art.
I love the idea of a game that takes place entirely through a PC UI, mostly on messaging apps. It's a concept I'd like to do something with myself someday. Though everything in the UI here was a bit big, and the messages scrolled by way too fast, which not only made them difficult to read, but also broke the immersion. I remember Life is Strange doing a cellphone text message UI really well, with messages coming through at natural-feeling intervals.
You mentioned this was just a demo story, so I hope you've got something bigger in the works that uses Connector and DeliverApp. This was a little too short to really get into -- I never felt like I had enough context to make an informed decision about who to talk to or what to do next, so the experience quickly devolved into trial and error. I think I got the good ending in the end, but it didn't really feel like I earned it.
I think I found out who sent the unknown message and beat the game (I don't want to spoil anything for others). It's reminds me of the Choose Your Own Adventure books but with a much more modern and fun way to do the story. I had a great time playing it even though I got a few bad endings.
One small thing I would have liked was a way to advance through the text messages so I could read them versus all the messages coming it at once.
Overall, nice work. This could turn into a fun thriller in the future.
