I really enjoyed the funny text on your page. ā€œOne installation, a thousand problemsā€ is a great line.

But Windows 95 wasn’t that bad, especially toward the end of its life cycle, when more powerful hardware made it feel fast. Windows 98 was the same. Both felt incredibly responsive.

Thanks for such an interesting game and the nostalgia.

Solid jam experience! Simple, intuitive, and very well executed. Left full ratings! We’d really appreciate it if you could test out Meow Bomb! too. For an updated experience with a working PC and fixes, check out the alternative build here: https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper

Have fun playing!

There are so many references and little jokes in here I love it. So many different things to interact with. Also just for reference my favourite dinosaur is Triceratops. I feel like everyone should have one so i'm glad you included that. Such a fun and charming entry. Bit before my time but my first PC was XP but if windows 95 was anything like this I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Great entry, well done!

I had a lot of fun with this. The cute little gags really remind me of my old 95 computer. I especially liked the escaping shortcut. I lost when the cpu overheated.

Playing this game definitely felt like going back to installing one of those simple, basic programs from the old days, when nothing was particularly complicated… except, well, everything! Those were the days when installing a video game on Windows 95 required endless patience, courage, a bit of luck, massive manuals, and more floppy disks than actual books in your house. šŸ˜†

Jokes aside, I absolutely loved the game. It brought back a lot of nostalgia, with several little details that really took me back. There were also a few things I was hoping to see that I think could have been hilarious, like being able to give the CRT monitor a good smack. We all know it never actually fixes anything, but boy, does it feel good to let off some steam!

That said, time is limited during a jam, and what you've managed to create is fantastic. The visuals are really well done, and the little tune at the beginning fits the experience perfectly. It would have been nice if it looped, though perhaps it was just me and it only played once.

All in all, I had a fantastic time playing it. Congratulations on the great work!

Really enjoyed this game! As a person who was alive during this era there was nothing more stressful than hearing the CD reader and HDD go full RPMs right after an installation stall. Horrible horrible times.
