The concept is actually really cool! But the audio levels need some tweaking — the sound is way too loud. I couldn't find any audio settings (or maybe there aren't any).
I also didn't really understand the decision not to pause the game when opening the inventory. I wanted to take my time reading item descriptions and exploring some build options, but I ended up getting eaten alive instead haha.

The roguelike gameplay feels fast-paced and satisfying, but I wasn’t sure how it connects to the “Old Tech” theme. The encounters also started to feel repetitive after a while. More variety in enemies or events would help keep things interesting.

Super interesting game with the temporary gun buffs. It took me a bit to figure out how it works, but when I figured it out, I had a really fun time upgrading and collecting materials. I didn't have enough time to read the buffs/debuffs because I was always worried about being hit, so if I could make one suggestions, I'd say to lose the debuffs depending on location, and just have a single trait per organ so it can be quickly throw away or equipped. I'd also say to make each buff last longer so I put more thought into the type of organ/buff I want. Overall super cool audio and visuals are sooo creepy too.

The game is fun; I played for about 10–15 minutes and realized that, since there’s no pause function in the inventory, you have to quickly equip weapon parts at random. Also, getting upgrades is awkward—I’d add a confirmation button, because during battle you might accidentally tap an upgrade and not even realize what you’ve selected. ✌️
i like the concept! The enemy variety felt a little limited, but I’d love to see more in future updates. More varied weapon effects could make the combat even more engaging. Here's an idea: Would it be possible to attach monster limbs to a character's body the same way you designed them to attach to weapons? Maybe something like Tetsuo from *Akira* or Godrick from *Elden Ring*.
The game is great and the concept interesting, i think you don't have the time to put the organ on the weapon so maybe more time time that.

Biomass attacks! great concept, it was fun to play. Just lacked a bit of dynamics.

The atmosphere in the abandoned research facility is super creepy and sets a great tone for the game. I loved the core mechanic of building unique modular weapons out of harvested enemy parts; it really adds a cool layer of strategy to the survival shooter.

That’s so AWESOME! Please make it a full game, or at least post the old version! I really like the organ-driven weapon.
One flaw I noticed: I’d like the game to pause completely during weapon modification instead of going into slow motion. I want time to think about which modifier to pick.
Also, I think having the organs wear out after a certain number of shots would help the game a lot!
Really sick concept! The only thing I'd like to see different is the way you now have to change your layout mid-combat. I think I would've preferred a wave-based approach where you tinker the gun in between waves. Awesome entry though, really cool game!
2D games aren’t usually my thing, but this one just clicked with me❤️

The concept is great, played for a long time, but if you implement complex synergy rules, at least pause the game for me to be able to read the tooltips.

The music and the partial darkness outside your radius work great together, the creepy atmosphere really lands. Oddly enough I think the inventory not fully pausing actually helps, you have to act fast and close it before you get smacked, and that pressure fits the game. The modular weapon idea with enemy parts is the star here, and I'd love to see more variety in enemies and weapon effects since it started feeling a bit samey after a while. Fun concept overall. Good work!))

I couldn't get the inventory working . I read the comments so I guess just not intuitive to me. The basic gameplay and shooting and leveling all worked well though. I'm a big fan of survivor games so having the right movement, spawn rate etc is really important and you did well

Finished the game. I liked the idea, but there are couple issues that can be fixed to be a better experience!
First - its leveling pop up screen. Give it a tiny pause with no action possible from player so people won't click on upgrade by accident (like I did multiple times). In usual 'survivors' type of game you wouldn't need to spam click attack on screen so its not an issue... here you don't even notice level popping up and click on button without even seeing what is in there :D Its an easy fix - just to keep people from autoing button once!
Second - durability on build weapons. I would be honest. I loved the whole idea of it (and would love to see 'rarity' of parts dropped too), but I disliked how it was implemented. Issue #1 is a lack of visible durability timer (at least I didn't find one), so your weapon breaks in random-ish moments and that leads to issue #2 - you don't get a full pause while tinkering with weapons. Meaning you just slam-and-go most of the time without looking and suffer consequences.
After like 3d minute I decided to just stop tinkering with weapons altogether and was just ranged-autoing everything. I got my first durability update (unless I missed some while spam clicking attack during level up) at 6-ish minute and it already felt like I don't need it because of all the passive-ranged percs I already grabbed (also what is 4 durability anyway? weapon seemed to be breaking at random... though it is probably an issue of not being able to read descriptions fast enough because of no pause, so pause on tinker screen would solve that I think)
But I can see that type of game being fun to play around with. Building weapons and making them stronger for longer. It almost there too! Thanks for sharing - I still had fun :)
It's an interesting concept, but going in and out the weapons menu to reattach consumed upgrades ruins the pace, plus the pause menu does not seem to work correctly and I die while I am building the weapon.

The concept is really interesting and I like the Existenz-like mechanic to upgrade your weapon with organic body parts. However I ended up clicking on upgrade by mistake cause I was firing when the popup was displayed. I think the game could benefit from a more Survivor-like approach: automatic shooting (rate of fire can be upgraded) and weapons are cumulative (I found it cumbersome to toggle between them). The map could you some obstacles also, to hinder you but also to trap monsters. I think your concept is pretty unique and with the right QoL improvements you could be onto something great!

Wow pretty cool game! I played a handful of times, got to level 10, and tried both ranged and melee builds.
I think if I could change one thing, it would be to pause the game while I'm in the configuration screen. I do think the current system adds a bit to the horror vibe, but it doesn't really let me LEARN the game.
Because enemies can come out of nowhere and will attack me in the configuration screen, I was reluctant to even open it. My first few runs I didn't use it at all. Then I decided to try it, and I did reconfigure my weapon. However, the configuration only lasted for a short while and then it was gone, which meant I would have to go back into the dangerous config screen.
So even in my longer runs I hardly interacted with this feature. Instead I just relied on the level upgrades "pick one from three" system.
I still had lots of fun with the game, but I feel like I probably missed out on some your design, which was a shame.
The whole horror mood was well done. The music is nicely creepy, the graphics sell the horror well, and the tight line-of-sight makes it so that you can never feel safe. And when I DID start to feel safe, say because I had lots of upgrades including 2x health regen, I could STILL get basically super-shotted by a group and die in one second, so I was never relaxed or bored.
About combat tactics, at first I thought because it was simple-follow that it would be easy to kite, but the fact that I need to actually be close to get the rewards caused me to engage in risk-taking, which was a very nice touch.
Nice entry!

Nice atmosphere! I got a bit bugged by the different pixel proportions but it's solid and fun!
Amazing game! It was so well done that I don't really know what to say about it being good, because it was that good. The audio was amazing and so were the graphics. The atmosphere was spectacular (I'm running out of synonyms for "really good"). The game was really well constructed, if you fixed a few things (I explain later) this game could be published and it would be a hit. There were a few things that I notice that were buggy. First, when upgrading, you will accidently click and upgrade without intentionality. Second, 4 out of 5 times I would get a glitch when I achieved level 10 (maybe it was as I made level 11, but it said I was at 10 when it would glitch) and it wouldn't close the upgrade screen, even if I paused the game and went home, the upgrade screen would remain up, so I couldn't play. That's a real bummer, because I would have to completely restart the game and lose all my progress. Third, it was a little annoying that the game wouldn't pause when in the inventory, made it hard to enjoy the inventory... it was more of a panic. I was never able to win (mostly due to the glitch)... but I did get close. But again... what an amazing game!
