Love this! The intro sequence was funny and great for mood-setting, and throwing humans into the worm is hilarious. My only trouble playing it was that I had a hard time telling where the bottom of the helicopter was, so I missed the worm every time I aimed for it.
I'm also biased cause our team also went for a Dune theme! Check it out https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/harvest-dune

I'm from the same team as her ^
I agree it's really funny to throw humans into the worm + the sound effect. It's got a nice little gameplay loop. I wish it had some more objectives though, like a score to beat or something.

Oh those screams! At some point I thought I can play infinitely since the difficulty is not increasing. Then the worm got me .

Very cool game, with obvious theme interpretation! I personally lova Dune, so couldn't skip this one. Nice work guys! :)
The spice must flow <3 love to see a Dune themed game
Good game, scared to ask what you did to get that scream! xD It could do with getting harder as it goes, but this is a solid base

Love to see a dune game! 🪱 Nice models, and miniature sized play area! Good job!
Solid little game! Love seeing 3D in a game jam. The audio did a great job of setting the right atmosphere and the pace was solid so I never got bored. Good work!
The 2nd Dune game I've seen this jam and a unique take on it as well; the game is quite compulsive with a clever mechanic of "seeding" the worm and then having to navigate the harvester to it.
Could possibly be expanded with things like random Freman attacks?
This game is really funny to me since harvesting spice and dealing with the sand worms was so much more dramatic in the movie  Fun game though! The gameplay is intuitive and it's nicely polished too, great work!
You picked one mechanic to focus on and you did it well! I'm a sucker for a Dune game

Cute getting an intro sequence in there as well, works well with introducing how to play as well :)
Gameplay loop worked pretty well, and the effect when harvesting spice was definitely a nice touch, though it would definitely have been nice to have some sort of sign as to where the worm was going to show up next, right now it felt a little random?
Good work!

Looks quite pretty and plays very smoothly, although it's a bit repetitive. Ran perfectly smooth in the web build too. Well done! The shadow was a nice touch to show the copter's projected position.

Fun game, well done!
I notice one of your team members is named Roadwarden, I just bought that game on Steam a few days ago :eyes:
--- To get back to the game:
I was looking forward to this, and I wasn't disappointed.
I'm sad there wasn't more progression/unique gameplay, but the high level of polish is an acceptable replacement :P

Great work! I didn't know I wanted this, but now I'm going to go hunt for more DUNE games...
Dropping humans into sandworms. Ahahaha I love it.
The graphics are amazing and it plays nicely.
You did a great job :D nice work!
really appretiate when games don't take themselves too seriously, you got the jokes both in text and visually, nice job!
Fun game! Nice, simple gameplay, retro graphics and lots of humour. Loved the intro! Well done!
Nice and simple. I like that we are harvesting spice. I did lose a harvester when I dropped a beacon on a worm even though the harvester was on the other side of the map at the time. It just exploded.
I thought the particles being pushed by the wind would be an indicator that things I dropped would be pushed in that direction.

Nice theme! I like it! I tried to complete the game but I didn't find the way how it works. However it's nice work!

This was very fun! As I think many people have said already, the fun of dropping humans into sandworms is certainly a highlight. A really simple but solid game!

The graphics are simple but not boring. The gameplay is a little bland, but everything works well. I had to give a score of 1 on audio for the loud audio on game over screen.
This is hilarious! I love the screams of the people as I drop them to their doom. The gameplay is really straightforward and the graphics are clean and crisp. Overall nice work!

Very original take on the theme. Graphics are nice and stylish, and sounds are great! It's totally awesome to throw humans to the worm. However, gets a little repetitive after a while. It ran totally fine and like butter in the browser for me (Chrome, i5-12400, RTX 3060). Great job here!

Simple, yet fun game! I love the visuals and sound effects. It would be nice to have some progression during the game, but it's still good for a game jam entry!
A very small, but peculiar game. Well done!
The sound effect for the falling guy was great, also cool to see a game inspired by Dune - I don't know too much about the series, and also didn't realize you had to drop dudes into the worms mouth at first, but otherwise a nice solid little game. Good work!

Oh god the screams  Cute little game! Graphics are great, enjoyed Dune theme. Would've been nice to see some gameplay progression.
Only the evil Harkonnen would be evil enough to not only use humans for bait, but as actual food for the sandworms, which isn't lore-accurate, sandworms don't produce spice from the humans they consume, but that doesn't make the game any less fun to play. The art is good, the screaming was great and the music fits nicely.

That was great. Nice graphics and the mechanics work well. Some goals or progression would have been nice though. I did find it impossible to redirect the harvester if the worm was about to appear underneath it, which happened a fair amount. I also had the harvester randomly explode when the worm was no where near. I suspect sabotage.

haha I love it! Once I realized I was dropping humans into the worms, I understood the AAAHHHHHHH sound... Poor humans. Very nicely done and awesome graphics!

Nice job, love the intro and the graphics and sound worked out great. Wish there was a little more variation or moves to maybe get but a pretty fun game altogether I had a great time playing good job!

Not gonna lie, it's kinda grim, but what else would you expect from Harkonnen, hehe.
VFX and models are nice and concept works well, though I would love to see more context and the end goal to your actions. Thanks for you submission!

Funny game! I liked the Dune theme and of course dropping the guys to the worms.
For the gameplay I would have liked more interactions than feeding the worm and harvesting spice though... maybe making the harvester overrun some rebels or luring the worm eat fremen or something. The game also didn't seem to get any harder so the gameplay was one trick pony to the core and I died more from losing interest than actually losing the game.
Sounds were ok, graphics were good and fit the theme nicely. Nice of you go to the roots of harvesting, I give you extra for theme for that... As you might know the word "harvester" for RTS games comes originally from dune. Good work!
