Hello everyone! I made a game about my friend's bottle opener collection. He's been collecting them for years! 2025-10-06_01-57-34.png
The game is a short puzzle quest. There are several points where you'll have to challenge your brain. 2025-10-06_01-44-18.png
You don't have to collect anything in this game. The collection is already complete. Can you de-collect it? 2025-10-06_01-42-44.png 2025-10-06_01-48-28.png
The art is brilliant and you have put a really high level of polish on this. I found myself NEEDING to complete it after starting, some of the clues were so simple and yet it took me embarrassingly long to finish. Great work on your entry!
This is so cool! Love all the bottle openers.

Brilliant work! It could easily fit as a mind-bending puzzle in any Rusty Lake game. I made it to the end, though I had to peek at one hint in a video. Everything made perfect sense, It just didn’t click right away. Great game!
Thats a big collection right there! Nice level of polish, so much detail in each sprite!
Really interesting puzzle game with great amount of details and polish and perfect fit for the theme.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the aesthetic of this game it instantly made me want to check every little secrets it holds and scratch all it's surprises ! I love the art direction, it's simple and efficient, very inspiring ! <3 + the reasoning behind the concept of the game is very solid, congrats on this awesome game!
Whoa, that’s quite a collection! Awesome! :) Overall, the puzzle turned out to be really interesting — it could totally be expanded in the direction of a 100 Doors-style game.
very cozy game actually and background story of this being real thing in your life is wholesome, artwork, interactivity and sfx 10/10 <3

It's a good game, and I especially liked the amount of detail.
The art is absolutely stunning, and the level of detail in each sprite really stands out—great job on the polish! I found the puzzles intriguing and engaging, though a couple of clues took longer to click than expected. Overall, this cozy game has a wholesome vibe that makes you want to explore every secret it holds!
I always like when people share their hobbies, and here we have a pretty good puzzle to play with. I'm loving it! It takes me back to my childhood, when I used to play similar games that required me to think and try unconventional solutions. 10/10

What an awesome and creative idea! It's elegant and charming!
I liked the puzzles and the hint search. I want to mention the exciting and cute visual for me personally. The game is addictive

Loved it. Excellent use of a real bottle opener collection to make a very relaxing and puzzling little game. This was a great experience, and I was engrossed until I figured out all the puzzles.
I love how original and fresh this feels! Great job (I didn't touch anything from your collection, promise!)

This collection is on my touch list.
Loved the little brain teasers to progress the "not touching" of the collection and the facts that it's a real collection is quite nice!
@solidhinken Thank you very much, but I'll still double check

Wow, really cool game! Solving the puzzles was a lot of fun. Lots of nice details. Really liked it :)
@khamekaze DID YOU TOUCH MY COLLECTION?!?!
@naru Don't delay)
THAT WAS SO COOL!!! I loved figuring everything out, and honestly it took me a little longer than I feel it should have x3
I kept going Pac-Man, Car... Pac-Man Car...... Oh. There's an ampersand!!!
This is the perfect kind of puzzle game!! It makes you feel smart AND stupid in a nice little sine-wave. Love it!!
@catusfelony Very nice, thank you! I was trying to evoke exactly that feeling.

The art is wonderful and I appreciate the small details along with the magnifying glass. The magnifying glass still has items play the hover sound though which seems a bit off. I love the item physics and how they react to the mouse. The sounds are great for the items and their interactions. Overall nice job.
@timelost Thanks! I was a little worried about the sounds, since this was my first time recording them. But I haven't learned how to make music yet.
I decided to keep the magnifying glass and the swaying objects thing; it seemed a bit more fun that way.

I want the same collection as Sergei Shestopalov's. The game is well made, there are hundreds of little things that you want to look at, and you can also interact!
@apdt Thank you! I'll definitely tell him)

I don't know how we're supposed to start without fail and reloading (and even if it's possible), but I finally managed to finish it. And I agree that the hidden one is the best of the collection. Good job, and bravo for the collector, this is a great collection!
@lereveur Thank you! As far as I know, there are no softlocks or deadlocks in the game that force a restart. The game can be completed from any situation. Or are you encountering some kind of bug?

@zidan-banan I noted that some of the items was falling when touched, sometime before they unlock anything, and assumed I couldn't continue if they are not in their cells anymore, so when too much has fall I restarted the game. But viewing your answer I suppose I was totally wrong
@lereveur Thanks for the feedback. This is a bit of an oversight in the game design. There should have been some hint that the item drop issue is fine.
neat little puzzle game! Great work!

It took me a while to figure everything out, but it was really fun. I’d definitely play more!
@juanrod707 @soleil Thank you very much! I hope I'll be able to continue working on the game and add more puzzles. And for the jam, I think the most important thing is to make a small but polished game.
This looks and sounds great. I finished it, but I'm not sure I really _solved_ the puzzles; more like I lucked into several of them. Great entry though. Well done :8ball:
@oddballdave Thank you! I appreciate such feedback. I'm a little sorry that the puzzles might have left you feeling a little unanswered or that you guessed something by accident. Ideally, I'd like the puzzle to evoke an unconditional feeling of correctness. I'll work on this aspect in the future.
The collection is quite nice

Beautiful game! I feel like I mostly stumbled through the solutions in my first playthrough but after getting stuck and trying again I could really appreciate what this game is doing! It's a very minimalistic design that you managed to turn into a very creative canvas for puzzles. Loved it!
@fupi Thanks a lot!

I think it's really cool how you used your friend's collection for this gamejam! At first I thought there was not a lot to it, but after clicking around it was made clear that there is some story behind it. Really clever I have to come back later, as I did not find an end-screen or something. I see things in the screenshots I did not find yet

The little dangling gives it a lot of life and interactivity. I felt like I needed a note pad at the side.
Thanks for entering your game on our live stream! Some thoughts:
I had some fun with this! The presentation is great, and the interface is simple enough to understand. I like how the game takes advantage of the point-and-click adventure format to let the player experiment and slowly find clues bread-crumbing to the final solution.
I also like the physicality of each bottle opener. Having them fall off the shelf was a clever way to indicate when each bottle opener's "in-game purpose" was completed, and no longer needed by the player.
For criticisms, I *did* find some of the clues obtuse. The puzzles were fine, in my opinion: they were as simple as clicking bottle openers in the right order. But how the clues to indicate which bottle opener to tap first was a little harder to discern. Furthermore, I ended up having some clues come in out-of-order, making the puzzle harder to solve.
As a puzzle game designer, myself, I understand how difficult it is to balance player experimentation with nudging the player to the right direction. Personally, I think I would have approached the problem by streamlining what clues/tools were provide. The less clues the player has to work with at any one time on screen, the easier it will be to nudge the player in the right direction.
On the other hand, there is a charm to players just doing whatever and being entertained with random noises each bottle opener makes. So I'm not sure where I'd draw the line on balancing that. Certainly something worth play-testing.
Also, nitpick, but don't forget to randomize the sound effects -- or at least its pitch -- each time they're played. It can get pretty repetitive to listen to the click noise.
Edit: forgot to mention the game reminds me a lot of Vectorpark's games. And I mean that as a compliment!

Such a creative puzzle game! I really loved that you used an actual collection to base your game off. I enjoyed just swiping my mouse over all of the bottle openers for the sound effects.
Great entry!
@omiya-games Thank you so much for such detailed feedback! I appreciate it and it's very helpful for future development.
I agree about the unclear hints. Perhaps they should have been displayed more linearly. But in a sense, I wanted to create a situation where the player needs to compare different pieces of information and figure out exactly what to apply them to. Alternatively, I could have used different symbols and associations to avoid mixing up the same numbers or cells in different puzzles.
I personally like how in other point-and-click adventures or metroidbrainias (like Outer Wilds), information is presented nonlinearly in the open world, and some hints can't be applied right away.
Great idea with the randomized sounds!
@leparlon @wouter52 @kayrum @jvdwijk Thank you so much for the feedback!

Saw this on a stream and had to try it. Such a cool puzzle! The fact that it's inspired by a real-world collection makes it so wholesome. I enjoyed it very much, and I only have criticisms beyond the jam scope. Those being that it'd be cool to not have random bottle openers simply fall off the wall, but always have them preceded by a puzzle. That would be a lot of puzzles probably though. Anyway, I definitely enjoyed those that were there ^^

That was pretty good! The puzzles were clever. I felt kinda bad throwing almost everything to the ground, not knowing if I messed up =)
One of my favourite entries this year! I love escape rooms and I found it very similar to it. Great idea and great execution!

Really nice use of photo assets, very clean and interactive. I didn't quite understand the goal at first, but kept with it and eventually was able to solve the puzzle :D
@hexstart @510 @wdebowicz @strega Thank you so much for the kind words! They inspire me to continue working on the game! I definitely want to add more puzzles.

This project is so unique! I loved how is you integrated your friends collection into this, very creative idea. Even though I did struggle on the puzzle part quite a bit. I can't figure out what the hints want to tell me. I removed all bottom openers that aren't fixed. Do I need to also use some that are already lying on the ground?
Oh, nvm, I did figure it out now. Actually really nice puzzle when you know that there is definitely a solution! :D

Really funny game, I've always love these single scene puzzle game. Just stuck for a long time on "&" symbol, I didn't expect it's a bottle opener too. XD
@grid96 Thank you! The goal in the game isn't clear enough right now, and the bottle openers lying at the bottom are a bit confusing. I'm thinking about this issue. I'm thinking about making them inactive.
@nilan Thank you! I love this moment with "&")))
I absolutely love it! It would’ve been nice if the game told you that a lost bottle opener is useless, every time I got stuck I kept thinking I'd softlocked myself and was about to restart
@aleksey-salion Thank you so much! Yes, many people are confused by bottle openers lying on the floor. I'm working on it. I haven't come up with an elegant solution yet, but I'll definitely fix it.
Interesting puzzle game with a great fit to the jam’s theme! The sound design is really nice, too.
Easiest five stars in "theme" I've ever given. The fact that it's based on a real collection is such a brilliant idea. The puzzles were fun to figure out, and I love the little sound effects that play when you click on some of them, like the guitar or the car. Cool game!
