Man I love sharks 100!/5))

grizeldi 2025-10-06 23:34

Love the card shop concept. The idea with fakes is well executed and they're just the right difficulty to spot. Unfortunately there's a some bugs, clicking on an inspected card makes it disappear, as I approached the end of the day my screen went white and I couldn't do anything...

Also "next/previous card" buttons, as well as a shortcut to the computer in the card inspecting screen would've been a great quality of life improvement.

yarkin 2025-10-07 12:40

@grizeldi Thanks for the review, we are happy to see that concept and the core mechanic idea is being liked! The bug exists because I forgot to disable a script when duplicating some card objects. It's surprising that we did not click on the inspected card during our playtest lol. We should test more properly =)

idea is great but i did find out after 5 tries why my card kept disapearing through this comment section. I like it well done very cute art!

tearei 2025-10-07 13:22

Cool shark game, it's awesome, dude, but the game lacks progression.

grompus 2025-10-07 13:27

I love TSG games, so I was already sold at the idea, but graphics, funny voices and mechanics were even better. Got scammed 5 times with King of the Sand(

Fun game with a good variety of collectibles

juanrod707 2025-10-07 15:45

Great artstyle and mood. Congratulations!

greenradiation 2025-10-07 16:23

I like how you implemented the bites as a button press. The game is unfortunately buggy, but the gameplay is quite fun, and I enjoyed playing it for a while. Great job!

yarkin 2025-10-07 17:00

I just figured that I can submit a new build in order to fix the bug. I'll be doing that. I thought I can't submit a new build after the jam ends. **Edit: Done**

kazuren 2025-10-07 19:26

The fake mechanic is really well done. Also I really like the attention to detail on the shop background and card art.

Some things I noticed:

I didn't understand why I would ever sell at the original price instead of high.

The people entering the shop could use different sfx each so it's not so repetitive.

I had to restart the game 4 times before it could function correctly, not sure why, the first 4 times I started the game, after I pressed the "flip" button on one of the cards it seemed like no other button functioned as it should have. e.g. I could press the "buy" button and lose money but I would get no card in my collection and the card would still remain there and I could press buy again.

yarkin 2025-10-07 19:44

@kazuren Normally, I was going to implement a feature where if you tried to sell at a high price, there would be a chance the customer would get angry and leave without buying. I couldn’t add it due to time, so I left it out. I agree about the SFX, using 8–10 customer sound effects with random selection would definitely have worked better. The issue you have faced happened me with early build but now it should work. Did you try updated version or the old one? Thanks for the feedback!

kazuren 2025-10-07 19:58

@yarkin oh I see, I was on the old version, I checked the updated version and it works fine!

ciphereo 2025-10-08 05:30

OMG! The sharks are so adorable. I really like them. Well done!

blue-pin-studio 2025-10-08 08:53

The art was fantastic! You did a great job in such a short time. The game design however was very frustrating, it wasn't easy or fast to compare cards. I had to click so many buttons to go back and forth between computer and card. Why are the cards upside down? Just to make it harder for me? :( :(

yarkin 2025-10-08 09:16

@blue-pin-studio We tried to make you remember the cards like a real card collector but I see how it turned out that way. Maybe adding scene changing shortcuts or fitting our screens on main screen as openable windows will help in the future. Thank you for reviewing!

yarkin 2025-10-08 09:18

@grompus Don't worry I'm taking your revenge =) Screenshot 2025-10-07 210201.png

tkap1 2025-10-08 10:24

I liked the art on the cards. Music would've been nice

ansible 2025-10-08 14:07

Sharks!!! I agree with the other comment re a bit too much clicking to show, turn, reveal a card and then go study in the book. Definitely still fun and enjoyable though nice!

cez4re 2025-10-08 14:31

I really liked the art style

woona 2025-10-08 15:21

I love sharks, the art style, and slowly getting richer and richer. 😁 I finished a collection of 8 different legit cards but the game didn't really acknowledge it, so I thought it's endless and finished playing there.

It gets a bit repetitive after a while, so maybe a different activity between days would be a good addition.

eugenik 2025-10-09 08:55

The graphics are astounding.

kupnu4 2025-10-09 11:24

nice game! The idea that I should flip cards all the time came a bit late, but I got it and then the real trading started! I love the graphics, the sharks are also cool as hell! Thank you and good luck in rankings!

soleil 2025-10-09 14:14

I love the attention to detail in the background, the different customer designs, and the crunch sound in the menu and the cards were so cute I even bought the fake ones

roitchie 2025-10-10 17:58

SHARKS! I like this game a lot. The fake card mechanic reminds me a lot of Papers, please. I really enjoy card games and each of the shark cards is really well done. The designs are really cute. Really polished for 3 days. Well done.

thoastbot 2025-10-12 11:02

Random Whitescreen after selling one card - not sure how to reproduce. Didn't stop me from trying to get the whole collection, and i did! Screenshot 2025-10-12 130014.png

Graphics are amazing, game is simple but addictive and pretty much exactly what to expect from a well made card collector game, great work!

darianifakina 2025-10-23 12:52

The art style complements the gameplay, creating an immersive atmosphere. Well done!
