Really cool concept! I loved the mechanics and the sounds/movement felt very satisfying to play with. Perhaps more types of dangers to avoid could make the game even better!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD56 → Void Creatures

Got to 800~ of score! Nice concept! Loving the design an the overall felling of gameplay!đź’–
This reminds me of bullet hell games, which I love, so I had a lot of fun! It starts easy, then it gets progressively harder, and that challenge kept me engaged. The moving zones caught me by surprise, but one tiny creature survived, so I managed to keep going. That was exciting.
I got to stage 18 twice. I really would have liked to keep trying, but in order to reach that stage again, you have to go through everything from the start, which feels a bit slow...
Does it go on infinitely, or is there an actual end? If there's an end, I might try again.
The core idea seems fresh and original, I haven't seen anything like it before. Very interesting.
Great work!

@drinlan Thanks for the feedback! The game does have 25 stages and loops after, so sadly no actual end (not enough time...). I appreciate you playing that far though!
This is my favourite so far, I'm impressed on how you made such a compact addictive game with such simple but functional visuals. 5 stars all around! Great Job.
Very cool! Spent about an hour playing it nonstop. You should keep working on it!
Very addicting, feels like both a numbers go up game and a boss fight!!
So this game is the best game I've ever played at this event! Lots of fun, good graphics, I'm impressed. Good job!
The concept is really very interesting and innovative.
Pretty fun
I kept coming back to play this a few times. I love how engaging it is without an overly complex interface.
That is really great! I really like it.
I LOVE that you have high scores. I wanted to do something like that so badly. I had a server up and ready to go but didn't have a chance to use it.
I was surprised when other creatures started attacking! I didn't expect there to be new content! Is there more? Am I missing a boss or something?
Drinlan! You only barely got away from me!

If I were to give constructive criticism, I would recommend faster, smaller danger boxes. The slow blasts though really do give an ominous feel, so I'm not sure my suggestion is a good one. You do you!
@damien-black Hah, thanks for the score! There aren't any more enemy types, just different patterns until stage 25. I sadly didn't have time to implement more.
Cool concept and well made, great job
Multiplying, baby! Cool game concept, it played smoothly. Would love to see an update with more mechanics in the future if you decide to continue
Wow, this is very satisfying to play, the way the creatures move is great. It's a simple game loop but still ends up being really fun to play. It is a little frustrating to just wait whenever the portal is completely covered over by danger, but maybe I need to get more patient :P Great job on the game jam.
It's an interesting concept, although it's really small on my screen and there's no way to make the game larger from what I could see—enjoyed playing it, although I didn't get far.
Great entry to for the jam! Everything felt so polished, the fact that you implemented a high score system i so smart! Well done here.
stage 4 seemed especially deadly to me
Crazy good game. 100% on theme.
Love a good Scoreboard. Made me try it again and again to beat some folks on there. Stage 4 was very hard but survived it once and got to Stage 8 which completely destroyed me. Really fun and compact entry!
Simple and solid idea. Great entry!
pretty nice game, you even implemented internet score mechanic!
Really fun gameplay loop here. I loved it!
Pretty solid. It's oddly satisfying to collect pixels. The collision on the solar flares could be a bit more visually defined as to when it begins and ends.
It is a really fun game! :D Those flares are sometimes annoying tho, they could appear faster and go away slower. Also it is hard to understand when you can or cant go thru flare without damage. Moving ones could be indicated by some animation or at least arrow facing direction it is going to start moving. Anyway, solid game.
3060 :) I wasn't expecting something, took me off balance :D
I definitely love swarm based games and you even added resources collection, this is really nice, it's like looking at an ant hill :)
Really liked the swarming behaviour and trying to get more while still avoiding flares made it much more interesting. Avoiding the flares was really difficult for me and I only survived the first few but I still like the strategy.
Nice game, original and addictive. It took a while to grasp the concept, but once you get it it's really enjoyable !
Very cool game, feels super original and fun to play
Oooh I like this one! Great job on the visuals. Although the Tiny Creatures are quite simplistic, the way that they swarm around really makes the user feel like they are live little workers. The affects of the danger blasts and the hive looked great too. The way the workers followed the mouse also felt very natural. A little bit of a follow delay, but I still felt like I had control to get out of danger. Well done on this entry!
Very cool. Very simple but easy to pick up and enjoy. Good work.
Nice game,very interesting plot!!!!Nice job!!!!
I am a simple dev, I see boids, I press like.
The way I died felt a bit unfair, as I got a middle beam and then side beams that I had no way to evade :(
Anyway, great job and great game!
Respect the mouse only controls. Really dig the idea of a "swarm" of tiny creatures that you control, super well implemented. Biggest gripe was really having no clue visually when the large beams were done attacking, as there still is some significant visual display for a small bit after it is completed, and having no idea when a large beam would move. But concept was great, execution was great, had a very good time playing. Nice work!
