I won 3270 money!!! Amazing game, could see it being a cool game if you add a bunch of different minigames!

Nice! The voice acting was a nice touch and was fun, added some humor and mood to the game. It got quite tricky as time went on and I like that you can choose to leave and take the money or risk it and keep going, fun mechanic!
Feel like you can make a FPS game practice gun game, hahahaha
Cool entry! The immersiveness is great!
It would have been better if there is a way to skip the prologue when the game is restarted.
Cool game, thanks for noticing my missing categories!
Nice game, the setup remined me of Squid Game. The voice acting/dialogue was a nice touché.
I have performance issue on my PC. But idea is cool.
I got away with $3270 too, it was on the millisecond for me, so I called it safe there and took the money. Originally wanted to end a round earlier, but the voice called me a coward if I did that, so I had to play another round, you know how it is.
But yeah, very fun voice acting, and very fun, intense gameplay! The 10 second accuracy and speed based gameplay had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Super fun all around. The choice to take the money or go on also added a strategic element to it, I enjoyed that. Great job!
The voice acting really stands out, great game!
What a great idea on theme! I haven't made a lot of money but it's highly fun. Great game!
Alright, buddy. Where's the $4150 you owe me? I also made a game about pressing a button to not die haha. I wish the rounds started up a bit quicker, but overall not a bad game. Felt like an FPS aim trainer.
My computer is not very new and I was only able to win $70 (the cursor was moving quite slowly). The rest of the time I was dying. I really liked the voice acting and the fact that it changes over time.
Very addictive voice I must say!! I just wanted to play for hearing more of that!!
Nice ambience, good visuals. Loved it!
You nailed the death game trope perfectly!
Very nice game! I love the voice acting and sounds. Simple but clever idea well executed.
A nice and simple game. The voice lines are such a nice touch. It would be cool if the rounds ended as soon as I pressed all the buttons.
Really sounds like a TV game show with the voice! Good work! I have an older graphics card and it lagged quite a bit (too little video memory) which was surprising for such a simple game, but I guess that's just the engine.
I get a very stanley parabel-"ish" vibe from this, the voice lines really made me laugh great job :D
The performance for me weren't great, it felt a bit sluggish making it harder to aim precisely. It got quite tense after a few rounds.
Loved the game show vibe. Loved the voice acting, it was fun. Nice minimal look too.
Lol this is so hard for me who has trouble aiming in 3d, especially as more buttons got added! Excellent atmosphere and voice acting. Good entry!
Stanley parable vibes. Adding an option to skip the dialog and making the mouse input more responsive would make it more enjoyable. Interesting entry!
This says a lot about society. Truly one of the games of all time.
In all seriousness great job on the voice acting and funny vibes of the game.
Counter Strike pros have been waiting for this. This game might have the most voicework of any LD game I've ever played, which is super cool, but I do wish that I didn't have to sit through it between every round.
I walked away with $4150. Even though the gameplay was simple, the game show framing and risk/reward of choosing whether to keep playing was fun. Mouse sensitivity options would have been good, and it might have been nice to start adding multiple buttons per round as the game went on.
I really like those simple games where you can jump into really quickly !
I loved the idea !
I really enjoyed playing, well done !
Nice! The voice acting is really strong!
Man, UE is a heavy beast though. 180MB download. Then I have to install DirectX UE pre-reqs. Then it warns me it doesn't like the specific version of my graphics driver. Then it pops up my firewall warning because it is trying to access the network (no idea why).
Definitely nothing to do with your game, but interesting to be on the player side of that experience. I've used Unity but sometimes wondered about UE.
Anyway, nice entry - right on theme, really strong voice acting that hits the absurdity with the right sarcasm but also has that voice quality an announcer would really have, and the other visuals/sfx are nice, too. Good job!
Fun game to play, voice acting is a very nice touch! Getting it to run was difficult though, UE didn't like my computer for some reason.
Nice idea with audio tutorial, adds realism to the game, as actually being on some kind of show)
I wish I could modify the mouse sensitivity in-game, the camera movement felt a little fast for me and I had a harder time aiming than normal. Having said that, this game does so much with little. The voice acting and the environment really give the game personality and takes it up a level. I was very interested in hearing what the voice was going to say next, so I kept pushing my luck. Fun experience, well done!
Very good audio immersion! The game is very fun and the idea is very well implemented.
Good job!
Interesting take on the theme! A nice reaction/precision game with a risk/reward tradeoff. A simple concept executed well. I liked the music/SFX and voice acting as well. Nice job for a compo entry! Could be expanded with maybe different things to do, not just pressing a button, or different minigames.
Simple game, wish there was more than just pushing the button. Having some sort of difficulty setting or randomizing the amount of buttons that get added or where they're at each new round would add a lot to the game, I feel. It is fully functioning and entertaining enough though, so good work!
good idea which completely fits the topic! simple but fun
I get maney, gif me maney
This game has easy to parse graphics, voiceover is a nice touch, and a nice intuitive UI. The hit-boxes on some of the buttons, especially the further away ones, were a little weird, but all in all a nice solid entry
Great entry ! The voice was a good idea :)
Hey there, we crossed paths in Brackeys 2022.2! ;) This is my first Ludum Dare ever, by the way. :)
(I am now in a rush to test as many games as possible to help, so please do not mind the cursory reviewing style.)
1. just seeing the screen captures, the buttons remind me of the "8"-button from *The Stanley Parable* (except for colour! And effect) Ah, I see nullval thought the same, with the addition of the voicing aspect! And pietmichal; so, some inspiration there? 2. also from description: nice to have a restart feature 3. music and voice are great :) (spotted a possible mistake: "succeeds" for "succeed"?) This may be a feature of your games as you did in the previous one I tested; anyway, it gives personality! (I also recognize the echo) 4. linked to pkenney’s comment on Unreal Engine as ‘heavy’: the game is a bit laggy for me, which makes the button pressing harder! (by the way, about more lightweight engines/tools: I think the game would have been totally manageable in MonoGame, including details such as reflection, with shaders) 5. managed the first round on my second try now that I know what to expect; trying giving up now (rather than in an advanced stage X)) 6. I really like the musicality of the button pressing sound! Makes some kind of melody 7. missed a bit the beginning of the defeat line sometimes; is it different depending on level? 8. nice font on the game over screen (and for indications) 9. yet another run: already noticed the buttons were apparently randomly placed (which is a good idea); I think difficulty depends a bit on button placement, because this time, I get five of them already grouped together in a batch, and it makes getting them closely easier for me 10. it may seem a detail, but I like the intuitive Yes/No interface with square brackets 11. it may be because of playing with lag / low framerate, but I think the best technical strategy is to have the mouse make a dry correct move to ‘jump’ from button to button 12. reaching $950: same line as somewhere before, so is it infinite? :o 13. oh no, losing there because clicking on the red base (just below the half-sphere) was not accepted for a button, making me lose time for the two final ones! <:o Stopping there (after a few runs before) I think, but I wonder if something different is said when you quit at some later stage, or whether there is any final stage.
**Takeaway:** simple yet effective concept, although as some others, I think some variety over time would enhance it. Everything is very clear, especially given the audio indications, but even the interface is fine. Graphics are simple but also clear; I would suggest (but am unsure!) maybe adding some more (shader?) darkness to the room, which would have the double advantage of making the walls and floor seem less plain, and add an oppressive atmosphere. A somewhat significant technical difficulty for me was the FPS issue that made mouse movement more uneasy, while it is so critical!! Not saying it is your fault, though (I blame Unreal Engine :p). The game falls under the ‘clear everything under 10 s’ category, which there were apparently several (I have seen *10 seconds or less* and *HURTEC*), but the clicking spin (literally! XD) is a funny and original one.
Nice challenge, and still curious to know if there is an end to it!

@cdunham The buttons are randomized for a new run; I feel like your idea of randomizing them for each stage would make the game even harder, while in its current state, you can rely a bit on memory/repetition while advancing, which can be interesting.
Hilarious voiceover  The game is fun and could be used as APM/AIM trainer for fps. The only thing that I was missing, is countdown and the option to skip intro and dialogues between gameplay. No doubt they are awesome and I liked them a lot, but if you repeat quite a lot of times to get a better score, you are forced to wait. Overall, great entry!
Thanks for the game, its funny :-)
This is a very fun game to play! The voice made it more personal and made it even better! The graphics were simplistic and straight to the point  I must say however, I would love an option to change mouse sensitivity.
Bruh i hit escape like 3 times to open a menu forgetting it closes the game, anyways, great idea, really like the execution, i got bamboozeled, cuz i thought i got 1 million something, but it actually was 1k something, sneaky bastard also displayed cents on the counter, would love to see mouse sensitivity settings, also moving the mouse felt weirdly unsmooth, loved the voice acting, i think stuff like moving buttons, flying buttons etc would be a great addition if you were to expand on this concept
For me the mouse cursor was very sensitive, it was rather hard to aim at the buttons.

As always I had fun taking part of the Ludum Dare game jam. I hope to see you all in the next Ludum Dare or maybe in another game jam.
