great submission! sometimes u stuck in other yandex.meals couriers but it made well!
Really liked the player and enemy art and the physics on them. Looked great!
Got stuck a lot by the other couriers and not overly clear which buildings to claim/how to get money.
Nice Game! played for a little while to unlock some of the viechles and made a bunch of deliveries. Theres alwasys something satisying about driving around a town/city and making a delivery, and I felt that whilst playing your game! Couple bits of feedback - You can get stuck in a loop if one of the yellow couriers comes to the spawn point, and keeps sending you back - Sometimes when I am far away from spawn after finishing a delivery, the punishment of 100 dollars by being hit by a yellow courier is actually worth the cost for quick travel, so it might be worth thinking about the balance there. - Would be cool to see the delivery items on the back of the player, like the bag could fill up or you put an object there?
Overall well done!
Well there is a lot of work and stuff into this one. At the beginning the other delivery men is too agressive, i start without amno so i need time to buy amno etc...the arrow which indicate the delivery point is unclear. So make the difficulty progressive, and correct the navigation interface point and that's fine. I like the idea of the office with a real progression, the player have a lot of movement too, that is a delivery game like GTA ! Good job !
Unfortunately the menu for the first office you buy couldnt be closed so there was no indication on how to make money.
Nice submission for a game made alone! Wanted to point out some "goods" and "bads". First, with "goods". The game seems on-point with topic and complex enough not to close it after a couple of minutes. Also the graphics are really nice and versatile, props to you! Now the "not so goods". The main problem I could describe as "vague objectives". It's hard to understand you should click at the office to get orders, it's hard to understand that those are actually orders, hard to see where is the order on map (waypoint does not work properly for me and just roughly gives me the info in which half of the map order is). Controls were intuitive (by being default for shooters), but I missed a couple of possible interactions. Just by clicking ESC I learned full controls and objectives (maybe start game with this screen?). Also aim seemed a bit off-center, and also after knoching down enemies their bodies slid towards me and always hit me, making respawn. And if their body or just them alive were to appear near the spawn, I was stuck in a perpetual respawn loop with terrifying death sound stutter :D
Anyways, props to you!
Seems cool, but it needs a bit more explanation. I have no idea how to get money. I wandered around a bit and managed to find another building to purchase, but couldn't buy it it without any money. I could purchase the first building for $0 and look at the menu of stuff to buy, but outside of that I couldn't manage to accomplish much.
I had a hard time understanding what to do. But once I did, that was easy. There is a lack of information: - Building that we can interact with (black one) must be easily identifiable. And you did great by placing the character directly in front at spawn. - The medals are orders. I know it written above, but we don't read all. We read what is BIG. - The direction indicator is not shown if you are on the wrong orientation. I suggest you to add those info in this page and itch.io page. It will help player to appreciate the work you've done. Once this is understood, then we can pickup order, earn money, buy buildings, etc.. Once you got a vehicule, it's perhaps too easy because the yellow guy wont try to steal you money. Other than that, that's fun to take a vehicule, or shoot at your opponent. Keep it up.
I agree that the game was a bit unintuitive at first, but after I understood how to make money, this became really cool. This is too bad that there is a glitch where I get killed in an infinite loop :/
I really loved the cel-shading effect and the music, they really add something to the game. It's really impressive to see that you made this all alone !
Nice game, I like the concept, I can see it being more fun with more polish and maybe a better camera angle so you can see better. The game fit the theme really well, delivering stuff to places so you can buy vehicles and offices to buy more stuff. My main criticism is the shooting, I felt like it was out of place. Even then, the shooting was pretty off, lining up a shot meant lining up the gun rather than the crosshair. I think it would be better for the game if you guys revamped or even got rid of the shooting and replaced it with another way to fight the enemy workers. I shot one of the yellow workers and he ragdolled to me and I kept taking damage and losing money, so that was definitely a bummer. The sound effects hurt my ears a little, really high pitched and sudden, so taking damage constantly wasn't too fun and it didn't make delivering stuff feel very satisfying. The music was alright though, and the graphics were simple but they looked good.
Overall with more polish and sound effects that don't hurt some people's ears, and maybe more refinement on the idea, I can see the game being fun and good. Nice work for 3 days :)
It was fun riding vehicles and exploring the town. Nice looking town. The player look and animations were nice. I couldn't make it too far, since I kept being caught by invisible people. I'd lose my money, but there was nobody there. It took a while to understand how to play. I missed the starting shop at first. More instruction would be great. I actually found a free scooter before I found money. I had a "wow you can drive these things" moment. That was a pretty fun drive.
This game looks nice, good job making it by yourself. I was just casually checking out the buy menu when one of the yellow guys collided with me, then everything kind of stopped. The player character and the enemy just kept colliding against each other and I couldn't move but there also wasn't any game over.
Love the look! Some yellow guy keeps running into me a resetting my progress? And then he spawn killed me.
Game looks great but really needs a tutorial in the game to explain things a bit better. Took me a while to figure it all out. I do have to say I really like the graphics, especially considering this is a game jam. I like the tunes too. Frustratingly I did get spawn killed over and over by some yellow bloke but I did a restart and tried again it just got the hell out of there haha.
Great work.
Making a game with weapons, AI opponents, and vehicles in 3 days is ambitious, so congrats on delivering all that!
It took me a while to understand I could just buy the building next to me for free, would have been nice to add some explanation for that.
I noticed a few bugs: - Once I entered a vehicle, my body disappears but its hitbox stays in the same spot and enemies can still hit me and make me lose money. This also teleports the invisible body at the spawn point and I can continue driving as normal. - Sometimes I was able to just press E to complete a delivery without getting to the delivery point. I think this happens when I get the same delivery point multiple times, maybe a proximity flag isn't reset properly
Overall I had fun with this game, it's a bit janky but it's part of its charm.
A funny idea about the war of deliveries, but how many unpleasant bugs. Yellow delivery workers are immortal. And when I was attacked for the first time at the spawn point, I almost went deaf from the nasty looped sound. 10 minus ears out of 10 =)
there were some weird bugs in the game but once i figured out what to do it was pretty fun. i think a better navigation system might have been better or a tutorial on how to deliver might have helped. thanks for making the game.
The idea is pretty interesting although it felt more like some kind of zombie apocalypse than a competition against delivery companies. Nevertheless for one person this was a pretty impressive entry!
