Love the art style! Reminds me of Day of The Tentacle
I like the idea it's very cool! You play arcade game in an arcade factory and the graphics are the same. I think there are some very interesting mechanics to explore.
Keep up the good work!
I'm amazed that you did the 3rd type of stage in gamemaker.(phrasing like that to not spoil)
Lovely concept!
Interesting take on the theme. The graphics were pleasant and the music was quite catchy.
I really enjoyed this. Nice execution.
Nice idea and very nice execution. The link between the different genre is a nice touch. Good work
Solid use multiple genres in a single project.
Really cool concept, it was a bit frustrating to play in the 3d world, and things moved really slowly in general. But the whole idea behind the game is great, and I enjoyed the music and artwork too!
Great job! Making 4 games in different genres in 48 hours is impressive. Artwork was fine, music was pleasant (and I liked how it faded between different arrangements), and the adventure game stage was just as jank as I remember those games. I got stuck on the Tetris stage though. I was eventually lucky enough to make a line, but it didn't clear.
Fun concept! I enjoyed cycling through all the different playstyles
I really like the concept and simplicity of it all. It's easy to understand and get into and the nod to a classic "point and click adventure" is unique but I didn't quite like all of the aspects of it. Since there are parts if the game that allow me to move using keys (I wish I could use WASD in addition to Arrows) it felt off switching between the two control schemes.
Meaning, I wish I could just right click to move and left click to interact rather than having to switch modes above or at the very least give me the options to use 1,2,3 alphanumeric so I can change my actions. That made the game sluggish for me and clunky. I think if you give the option to do that it would make the game even more enjoyable.
The idea is fun and a unique interpretation of the theme and I think you did a great job implementing it, just some minor things to help improve the experience (at least for me) :D
A really unique idea! I agree with what some people already said that the controls feel a little bit clunky. But I'd say it has potential, and could be really cool with some polish. Good job!
Hey! This is originally what I wanted to do for my idea! I wanted to go inside different genres, but I just couldn't do it in the time limit so I ended up with only one. But you did it! I'm very impressed that you managed to get four game types in here. And it was so clever to represent THE SAME ROOM in each of those gameplay styles, each with their own art "feel" AND music. I did seem to get stuck on the tetris level, not sure if I did something wrong or got a bug. But that was only disapointing because this is a really cool concept that I would totally play a proper version of if you ever decided to follow it. Well done!
Super cool idea! I thought it was executed well too, for the most part. I think a few quality of life improvements would go a long way. There probably doesn't need to be separate buttons for "use" and "take" in the point-and-click part. You should definitely allow WASD for movement in the 3D view. As it is now, you have to switch y our hand from the mouse to keyboard when going between the modes, but you wouldn't if you could use WASD too.
Really liked the interpretation of the theme! :smile_cat:
Quests are rare at ludum dare, i like it
I like this game, it's quite interesting when you have to switch genre. Well done!
